5/5 Stars - A Paw-some Destination for Your Furry Friend! Previously located at Kimbell ave, now located 1440 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago,Illinois I've been a loyal customer at For Dogs Sake, for an impressive 4 years, and I can confidently say that their dog cakes are truly paw-some! The quality, taste, and presentation are consistently top-notch. But what sets this bakery apart is the exceptional service and genuine care provided by the owner. She is a hardworking and kind-hearted individual who always goes above and beyond to ensure my fur baby feels special. From custom cake designs to accommodating dietary restrictions, she takes the time to understand each pup's unique needs. Her passion for baking and love for animals shines through in every treat. The bakery's commitment to using only the best ingredients and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment puts my mind at ease. If you're seeking a special treat for your fur baby or want to make their birthday/adoptiversary extra memorable, look no further! For Dogs Sake is the ultimate destination. Thank you, For Dogs Sake, for four incredible years of making my pup's tail wag with joy! Here are some pictures of my dog, Rio, enjoying his birthday cakes over the past years. Rating Breakdown: · Quality of Products: 5/5 · Customer Service: 5/5 · Cleanliness and Atmosphere: 5/5 · Value for Money: 5/5 Recommendation: Don't hesitate to try their signature peanut butter pupcakes, and beef/liver empanadas! PS. Use Google maps to locate the store, I used Apple maps and it took me to the storage unit parking lot just before For Dogs Sake's parking lot.

I am obsessed with Liz. She saved my golden retriever. And also knows everything about anything…read moredog-related. She's basically a free-advice functional medicine vet. I literally went to Dr. Royal who is amazing by the way who is a functional medicine vet and she told me a majority of what Liz also told me which is diet diet diet. My dog Griffey was getting hot spots as a puppy and losing his hair, the conventional western medicine vet just put him on an antibiotic and said that it's normal. After changing his diet to full raw (listening to Liz and Dr. Royal) - his fur is like silk and is the happiest and healthiest golden. I admit that it's expensive but so is eating organic and purchasing local products from farmer markets. In the long run, I think we will save more money on keeping him healthy than paying towards vet visits. It is also a HUGE perk that is right down the block from my favorite gym The Garage Chicago.

Even being a small shop they have better prices than big chains (literal angels here). This place deserves your business. I dont even have pets anymore but I remembered how awesome it was picking up cat food here so here i am 5 months later leaving a review- DONT WALK... RUN TO LIZS PET SHOP! You wont regret it!

Disgusting. The staff at the PetsHotel are friendly. Getting info about my pets stay always seems to be the same scripted answer. I've noticed each time I arrive to pick up my pet no one is out front, there is no bell to alert that you're waiting so you're just standing hoping someone will notice you. Calling to check on your pet is hit or miss. I don't like that I've never seen the facilities where my pet is housed. No tour. No cameras. I'll be looking for other options in the area.

I'm writing this months later because I'm still stunned by how bad my experience was at their…read moregrooming facility and I was also just quoted over $200 to fix the damage they did to my dog's coat. I brought my golden retriever in for the full package: ear cleaning, nail trim, bath, and groom. If you have a golden, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. The haircut alone was the worst I've ever seen, but the bigger issue is that they simply didn't do the services I paid for. When I picked her up and walked her around the store for treats, I realized she smelled worse than when I dropped her off. Her ears were still full of wax, her nails hadn't been trimmed, her coat felt dirty, and the grooming itself was shockingly uneven. I bathe my dog weekly, so she is never in that condition, and I initially assumed maybe they'd forgotten to rinse a product or had used a shampoo with a funky smell. I went back into the salon and asked if she had been bathed. The employee flatly said yes. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and asked to smell the shampoo they used, thinking maybe the scent had changed, but it clearly didn't match what was on my dog. When I asked again, three employees came out and responded with condescending, dismissive attitudes. Their red-haired manager rolled his eyes before walking me over for a refund. For the record, I wasn't even looking for a refund, it was a gift card. I just wanted to understand how a grooming appointment could go so wrong. When I got home and bathed her myself, the water ran nearly black, something that has never happened before. Her paw pads had been shaved unevenly, her coat was damaged, and the professional groomer who corrected it asked if a toddler with scissors had gotten to her. I contacted corporate at the time and never heard back. I have never once left a negative reviews for any business ever, but when it comes to my dog, I will absolutely speak up. Please don't take your pets here.
