I think this was the first time I have stepped into this Walmart. It was easy to find parking…read morebecause the parking lot had so many spaces available, yet it was a crowded zoo inside which made the shopping experience less enjoyable. It was so hard to walk around without trying to dodge other shopping carts or other customers standing in the aisle and not moving aside to make space (zero awareness of surroundings). This visit comes after a road trip to the midwest where I visited many Walmarts and found those stores much more calm and enjoyable, than the visit to this store in Milpitas. I found a couple of items I needed. The tube of E6000 was easy to find in the crafting section, which saved me a trip to Michaels. I needed some frozen pineapples and walked toward the freezer aisles looking for frozen fruit signage. No signage for "frozen fruit", but saw a sign for "frozen vegetables" and guessed it might be down the same aisle. I walked halfway down the aisle before the kiddo called out to me to come back because I had walked right past the narrow section of frozen fruit. No signage near it, which made it difficult to notice. Signage at this store could be improved. On the upside, I found a HUGE bag of frozen pineapple chunks that will last me quite some time (I hope), so that I won't have to return here for quite some time. I wandered into the sporting goods section to see what kind of ice chests they had that also had wheels. They had every size except the size I was looking for. I was also looking for Cream of Coconut, but could not find it anywhere. Any guesses on what I was trying to make with pineapple and cream of coconut? :) I went to check out in a regular staffed register. Ok, I admit, I did not want to walk to the other end of the store to hunt down the self checkout, mostly because the store was so crowded. And then I was surprised to see a sign at the register that said "Visual & audio recording, Body-worn cameras in use". I did not see this at any of the other Walmarts I visited in the midwest. One big annoyance at this Milpitas store (which is also present at the other Walmart locations) is the lack of NFC tap-to-pay. You will not be using Apple Pay or Google Pay here. This is inconvenient, as I pretty much use tap to pay everywhere. Lack of this tap to pay feature makes transactions at Walmart feel less secure. And also appears to encourage credit card fraud. Or is the store's refusal to use NFC tap to pay -- which the majority of other retail stores already have -- a reflection of their perception that their clientele is less up to date with "newer" technology that has been around for quite some time. One good thing about the store is their restroom locations are consistent with all the other Walmart locations I've visited. There's a restroom at the front middle area, and another one in the back middle area. Even Target stores are not as consistent with their restroom locations. Oh and this store does receipt checks when you walk out the door, they must be identifying with Costco today. LOL The receipt checker was friendly.

I stopped by in need of grabbing a little thank you gift for my daughter's teacher aide. What better gift than the gift of See's?? Miss Jennelyn was immediately kind at our first initial encounter and her exceptional attitude only continued throughout my visit. She was very patient with my indecisiveness and was willing to help with anything I needed. All of my visits and interactions with management and staff are always phenomenal!! This See's comes recommended over the rest... for obvious reasons! 5/5 Stars. Thank you Miss Jennelyn is specifics! My daughter appreciated the extra samples, YOU'RE AMAZING!

I think if you love chocolates and are picky with the quality, this is not the place. It's overly sweet and really doesn't have a smooth taste like Godiva or Laderach. But, the prices are steep as if it were premium quality. I would skip it and go over to a great chocolate shop that has quality chocolates since you're already paying a lot. I'm also not sure why this store is not as friendly as I remembered it to be. I went inside to buy a Christmas box and the staff didn't seem as friendly or welcoming. They are all behind the counter and if you have a question they don't offer to help you locate what types of candies you are looking for. So, I was randomly choosing different chocolates to buy and felt rush since there were people behind me and so I just chose any milk chocolates just to fill the box for a gift. I didn't feel like it was a great choice to be there in the first place. I would try a different store or location. While it was convenient, it lacked customer service.

OK, this is a follow-up to my previous 1-star review -- previous in this case means I walked into…read morethe store after I wrote my terrible review for their curbside pickup to actually find my order so I wouldn't have to argue with Walgreen's or my credit card customer service later. I wanted to post a review of everything else THIS store does to balance my terrible curbside pickup review: Everything else, this store is 5 of 5 stars. I've owned my house a mile away from this store before it or the shopping center even existed, 24 years ago. Before they were here, it was literally a patch of grass where they sold Christmas trees and pumpkins during the holidays. We walk to/by this store 3-5 times a week, often stopping in to buy little things that we need while getting our walking exercise. We also shop here 3-5 other times a week when we're in our cars. So, needless to say, the people here know me and my wife like we work there. I walk in to complain about my curbside order I had waited an hour for outside, and I see literally 2 employees are working, handling two lines of customers with 4-8 people in each line. That's it, 2 people working in the store. Normally there are 4-6 people minimum. So, I wait in line to talk to the guy near the front, and he points me back to "Patty" who handles the curbside orders. Yeah, I'm pretty upset at this point being redirected to the sole other employee after waiting behind 6 other people. I go back to her, wait behind other customers, and complain to her. She says she's so sorry, checks and sees that I have been waiting for an hour. She just didn't see the notifications. Because they are busy and short-staffed. She goes back to get a key and then my order, finds it on a cart near where I was standing. Meanwhile, I'm talking with another customer saying, "You know, nobody wants to do these jobs any more for less than $15 an hour, these places are going to disappear soon!" She agrees, and Patty walks back up and tells us how they are short-staffed because they keep hiring people, they train them, then in 1-2 days they disappear and they have to hire someone again. Yeah, I guess it is hard to find someone to do an honest job for honest pay these days, but I was surprised to hear exactly that from Patty. All I can say is before posting a 1 star review, which this store deserves for the service they did provide on the curbside order, remember they might be, even today, dealing with a lot of adversity just to stay open. In the very least, give them another chance doing what they do and post another review if it's better than 1 star. So, bottom line, give the stores that you gave 1 star reviews to another chance later. They really are all just people trying their best to get the job done, probably like all of us.
