I had my haircut done next door and I thought I'd check out CVS. The first thing I noticed was their beauty section. It's well organized and has a variety of hair products. I remember when CVS first opened this cosmetics section that they had two beauticians. Unfortunately not many people knew about this so I haven't seen them anymore but at least the cosmetics are well stocked. They do have this nice Minute Clinic which looks like a small clinic inside the store. No one is there on the weekend it seems. You can easily find what you need in the beauty section. Sorry to say this CVS Pharmacy do not have a lot of stock medicine prescription when my doctor prescribe and not enough pharmacy employee's.

This particular CVS Pharmacy is 100% slower than other locations!! And that says a lot being as most pharmacies in general are already naturally slow. The department seems very understaffed and with some of the staff actually being on the clock, everyone seems to drag their feet. There is little to no urgency at this CVS. 1 star. I'd highly recommend you choosing another CVS location unless you have all the time in the world to stand around. Thanks but no thanks. read more

the manager tried to assist me on the self-check register with a very poor customer-focused attitude and less than desired outcome. He was very rude and accused me of lying when I told him I already entered my birthdate for an age-restricted item. Also, this item was not ringing up correctly and he did not honor the posted sale. Could not get the sale amount to reflect 2 times. Eventually I was so tired of interaction that I put back the 2 items. I am so very disappointed in CVS and feel that this location in Milpitas needs MAJOR training, more competent staff and more actual registers with friendly staff. When I got there they stuck a regular photo onto the back of a magnet.. and it wasn't aligned so some of the stickiness from the magnet was showing. I drove there and the cashier called for passport service on the intercom. 10 min passed and she apologized for the wait. ​​Friday, January 20, 2023 ABSOLUTELY AND INTENTIONAL UNFRIENDLY OLDER STAFF/CASHIERS! I went there after work. I was in a good mood when I got there, geez. I needed assistance in the beauty section. Everything that is "good" is under lock & key; (due to thefts), but not just beauty items; other items are under lock & key. (Very time consuming - tedious). At this point, I refused to keep asking for help, so I left without a lot of the items that I needed. When assistance arrives, they are very rude and impatient with the customers. I felt rushed/hurried by their facial expressions, body language and gestures. The current practice at CVS in Milpitas places the customer(s) where they needed to or had to ask for assistance from the staff that didn't want to help them. It leaves the customer with a truly negative experience. These two older cashiers made me feel bad for asking them questions by rolling their eyes and exhaling loudly - I felt like I was in high school. For both of the women, (over 55 years old), who helped me, I felt they lacked maturity and the basics of customer service skills. They were intentionally rude. I am going to state the obvious, you shouldn't treat people like that. I work in the hospital; I see patients all day, one after another. I would never treat a patient, (or any human being) the way I was treated at CVS Milpitas on Friday, January 20, 2023. Example: I needed to hold an item to read it, she was flabbergasted and took a step back. Yes, I was reading the box. Question, Are you afraid of getting COVID from me? My solution then is to wear a mask. Another solution: If you don't like working with the public, find another job. CVS Milpitas policies have placed the customers where they have to rely on the cashiers/staff to get their household items/beauty stuff they need. If you are understaffed, ask CVS Milpitas to hire more. If you will treat CVS Milpitas customers that way, then I wonder how you treat staff members/fellow employees. Perhaps, that's why you are short-staffed. (Just a thought). (Absolutely unfriendly Milpitas CVS staff - front checkers), especially Monica, and another older, blond woman. (Front cashiers). They don't have time to allow you to read the bottle. No offense, but facial creams and beauty items are expensive. I needed to check to see if I was getting the "right" one. I ended up purchasing the wrong item for my daughter; now, I will have to return it. Next, CVS coupons and price checks. (From bad to worse). I needed more help from them. At the register, I choose not to get one of the items. Monica said, "So, you don't want it?!" I said, "Yes, I don't want it." She glared at me and placed the item in the return section. I needed them to apply the CVS coupons that are on my CAREPASS card. I had to double check her twice. I gave her a CVS paper coupon for one of the food items, Monica, the cashier would not even scan it. She made up some excuse why the coupon wouldn't work. Price check: I asked Monica to check a price on one of the beauty items. Because I didn't have the opportunity to check it in the first place - because I was rushed in the beauty aisle! Now, at the register, Monica needed to check it. She glared at me, took the item off the counter and walked to the price check. Wow. (Inefficient work practices). From start to finish the entire experience was unnerving; definitely unsettling. I was very upset at how I was treated by these two cashiers. I still have to go back and return an item, because I bought the wrong type. I was upset enough to write up a two page YELP review the next day. read more

This is the only cvs that still has Fuji develop envelopes near me for disposable cameras to be developed. I sent out 3 disposable cameras with their envelopes meaning my photos were to be shipped back to their location in 2 weeks for me to pick up. I called a month later and the lady said they don't have any with my name and to check back again in two weeks. Hello here I am in March after sending out in November 2020 and the SAME LADY is telling me it should come in 2 weeks... ok so if It doesn't come in 2 weeks let alone 3 months later what do you guys do?? I'm treated well with good customer care at this location. People work at the pharmacy are sincere, professional, show friendly gestures occasionally as well, attentive and helpful. This pharmacy is prompt in providing reminder calls ,for medication pick ups. During peak hours where there is long line for pick ups and for other pharmacy reasons, the staff does an excellent job in managing the crowd. Overall - pleasant trips so far! read more

Came here for some after Xmas shopping. The staff was super friendly. Even after the long holiday season. Unfortunately they only had one register open and the person they were helping was being difficult. So my sister and I opted to use the self checkout. We were purchasing the Christmas sale stuff but some of the items were very light so the machine wasn't recognizing when we were placing the items in the bagging area. The manager came over and helped us check out smoothly. Both of our transactions took less than 10 minutes. Really the best cvs experience. read more

My reoccurring prescription was submitted by doctor as 45 pills for which CVS charged over $11. I was hungry so wasn't paying attention. I was only given 15 pills and the charge was over what I normally pay. Back to CVS to get it corrected to 45 pills and was charged a bit over $2. What a difference! I'll be checking for correct medication, number of pills, and cost more closely in the future...and so should you! read more

They've remodeled and have more people working the pharmacy so it is good. They also opened a Minute Clinic which is a quick stop health clinic with a Nurse Practitioner. Got my shingles shot. Service is quick and it's by appt so you don't have to wait long. read more

During the week, I accompanied my grandmother to the Pharmacy section to pick up my grandfathers prescription. We picked up a medication that was recently discontinued for personal use, and there was a complete mix-up, thankfully Rabul at Pharmacy was helpful, and friendly about the situation. A female associate was able to get the situation sorted out before we left home. Rabul had recognized my grandmother and greeted her by name and introduced himself to me. It was very reassuring that when my grandmother goes to CVS she's in such good hands, and there is definitely a trusting relationship for her and the staff at Pharmacy. My review is for the pharmacy. This place is an absolute disaster. 1. Often there's a huge line and no one acknowledges you. 2. The service is ungodly slow. 3. They have filled my prescription wrong twice now... as in the WRONG DRUGS. My god. How does a place not get fined for that? You could kill someone if they weren't careful. Shame on me for not always checking that they get the actual pills right. I shouldn't assume basic competency. And as an added kicker I end up having to pay for it. 4. My doctors have called in prescriptions and then when I arrive the pharmacy claims they haven't received those prescriptions on at least five different occasions. I've literally been in the room when my doctor was calling the prescription in and then drive over to the pharmacy and they say they don't have it. It's mind-numbing. 5. Everyone you deal with is unapologetically apathetic. I've been using this pharmacy since it's right by my place and the grocery store I use. It's gotten to the point I can't use them anymore. When I asked the black clerk why they sell expired baby products, she didn't care at all, just saying "I don't know" and went away. I purchased an Apple gift card on June 23rd and it was not activated properly so I had to wait until 48 hours for the transaction to update called CVS this morning they know my Apple card is activated but they don't know why the Apple store can't redeem it. Now I have to wait 7 to 10 days for them to investigate and I'm really upset and a little annoyed. They will not offer me compensation for my troubles. This is the worst pharmacy and unfortunately is the closest one to my home. They sent me text message yesterday with link saying my medicine are ready and give me the option to pre-pay online, so I I paid for 4 medicine. But when I go to pick up today, they said one of the medicine(cost $32.99) is too soon to be refilled and didn't give me that. But it was prepaid and I ask how can I get refund, they said it was my credit card issue (how come???), asked me to call my credit card to fix that. When I explain it was CVS list that one in the pre-pay order, the lady (they claim she is the supervisor) goes inpatient and yelling that she've told me to call credit card, there is nothing they can do. After being on hold to check a prescription I was told by a lady by 5 my pick up would be ready. Usually ok service but I went to pick up prescription meds and told to come at a specific time and I came over about an hour after the time I was told it would be ready and it still was not yet processed because all their attention was on flu or covid shots with only one pharmacist. They then told others even with shot appointments to come back the next day because they are so backed up. Customer service has gone down hill. They should have enough cover time or block appointments at intervals to process prescriptions if only one pharmacist is scheduled. What if the meds are urgent and they said 1 or 2 more hours. read more

Had an appointment for a flu shot, came in 5 minutes earlier and told we wait in the same line as prescriptions. No big deal. Once we got to the front, the same person said they're all sold out of shots due to the walk ins earlier that day - so I should schedule another. I asked "what's the actual advantage of scheduling an appointment, if you just give them to earlier walk ins, and if we are in the same queue at the store?" The response: "I ALREADY TOLD YOU WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE, THAT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE, YOU CAN SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT ON THE PHONE IF YOU WANT TO TRY AGAIN." Just because you have a Pharmacy degree sitting behind a counter with medicine, doesn't give you the right to treat any one this way. I wish I had a way to report you to CVS management. read more

No employees at the registers at all one working the aisles, they have two restrooms visible to the customers from the floor of which are locked that I understand one was occupied, I walked and found the employee and asked if they could unlock the restroom that the customer just came out of, she told me straight faced that the bathrooms are not for customers only for employees. The person using the restroom was not dressed as an employee and went straight to buying lottery tickets (I would presume on the clock if he was an employee) if there are no publicly available restrooms it needs to be posted. read more

This review is for the cashier. I live in Milpitas. There's only one cvs. Monica, at the Milpitas location on Milpitas Blvd is terrible. Always cranky. Acts like customers who have questions or who want to use a coupon or have an issue is a hassle. Anything that requires her to go a step further than just ringing up at the register is way too much for her. I think she's worked there way too long and hates her job so much that she forgot what customer service is. If I have time to drive elsewhere I make every effort to do so. She's so rude. read more
