Grocery Outlet is a discounted, grocery store, located right on Lynnhaven Pkwy, that offers all of the normal, grocery items for lower prices. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the Seaweed Snacks. They had Popcorn flavor, along with Carbonara and Chipotle. I grabbed the Carbonara to try out and continued to browse through the store. The International aisle had quite a few different Asian noodles options. I was surprised to find Baklava lol. My daughter loves Baklava so she grabbed the assortment box. Every aisle included something different and unique, which makes this grocery store stand out. I love that it was very clean as well. The staff were very friendly and the checkout process was quick and easy. If you're in the area, definitely stop in, you might be surprised at what you find.

They are a standalone building, but is near to the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center, so they would be hard to miss. My most recent visit here was on April 5, 2026. I made an attempt to come in on the opening day in the afternoon, but there was no parking available, so I would wait until the following day to come in. It was still busy on March 13, 2026, but it wasn't as crazy as it was on opening day. The building looks big from the outside, but it isn't that much different from a regular grocery store. When I came in on the first visit, the place was pretty busy. There was staff helping everyone set up their accounts on their phone app. I had done it beforehand, so I didn't have to wait for that. I was speaking with one of the managers and found out this Virginia Beach location is also their regional hub. My mom was with me on this visit too, as she also wanted to see what it was all about. They do have a good amount of stables, and they have several items that are their own brand. There are brand name items and such, along with limited vegetable and fruit options. When looking at the stuff here, be sure to check the dates on them. Some of the items will be close to their use by date. They do have options for many different food types, but I am sure they could change from time to time. The feel overall for me so far has been that it's like Ollie's Bargain Outlet, but for grocery type items instead, while Ollie's has other stuff to choose from. They have a rewards program, so if you spend $150 or more or make at least three trips with a purchase, you can unlock their Wow! Insider program, which offers even more discounts for select items. It is valid for 30 days, but if you keep the pattern going, you can continue to be a Wow! Insider. On the most recent visit, my mom and I came in to get some items that they had on special. They had 93% lean ground beef for $3.99 per pound (each container was one pound) and dozen eggs on sale for $0.99. We did get a few other needed items, but it wasn't a large purchase that day. Overall, they are a good place to find your grocery stables. However, you will likely need to complement that trip to another place to get everything you may be looking for. They continually provide ads for what's on sale and available at that time. With it being a bargain market, don't expect to see everything you saw on a previous visit. Although they show what the savings could be compared to other stores, I did notice that they aren't completely correct. I'm guessing they were using national average cost data for such items. If you are looking to find some grocery items on the lower priced side, this place is worth checking out, but be sure to compare to their competitors too.

We will be able to use it ourselves often in the future. The meal we brought home was exquisite. A huge spiral-sliced ham, fresh green beans in a microwave bag with pepper butter, scalloped potatoes with white cheddar. Fresh pineapple. Yeast rolls. A beautiful cake. All we had to do was heat up each, serve and cut the cake for dessert. The best part is that the ham was so top shelf that no one felt thirsty after eating it. And the sides with the cake? A big wow. This was our first time ordering a complete meal from the Fresh Market and we will continue in the future!

The produce area usually has non-rotten fruits and vegetables which is somewhat of a miracle. I mainly come here to purchase chicken and other pork items due to the pricing. All other grocery items are comparable to Kroger and other regular grocery stores. Just with lack of customer service at the cash register if you get it rung up by humans and mandatory cash tipping required for getting forced to have your items transported to the car. The self-service area is consequently the busiest part of the store with confused seniors and distracted mothers hogging up the registers. So if you only have one or two items, prepare to wait. They have no limits on item count at the self-checkout so if can be frustrating.

The store consistently delivers decent savings on everyday grocery staples while still offering a strong selection of fresh produce, quality meats, packaged goods, and household essentials. Being on base at a major naval shipyard facility, it's especially convenient for active duty, retirees, and dependents in the area. They didn't look at me as if I had 3 heads, they just smiled and let me use their stapler (and own to label my documents). Highly recommend this Harris Teeter.
