I was thrilled to see the TJ's sample station offering their graham cracker squares topped with their whipped carrot cake cream cheese! Uh, yes, please! I mean, who doesn't like a sample? Needless to say, I picked up a container of the whipped carrot cake cream cheese. Then, after moving away to continue shopping, I decided to turn right back around to grab another container! The nice young lady serving the samples smiled at me and told me she completely understood why I grabbed another container. Lol TJ's is always so clean and the staff is always so friendly at this location. I like finding new items every visit, and I picked up lots of sweet treats for the holiday. Big thanks to all the IG followers who post their Trader Joe's finds and their reviews of their favorites. My cashier, Melissa commented on the additional (3) reusable regional shopping bags I had in my cart. Hilltop had the bag for North Carolina! Yay! It wasn't until after I stepped up to the cashier they decided to open up a fewer items line. Nevertheless, come in here! There's a parking lot that is shared with a host of other places due to the location being a shopping center. But parking should not present a problem at all. There is a pizza place or two located in the center alongside a Chinese Restaurant, Subway and others... Don't forget your MVP card. I am big on fresh produce, it simply is not as fresh here compared to Food Lion and even Walmart produce. Every time I buy produce it is either rotting by the next day, Kale is expiring the next day and so forth. Fresh bags of salad smell rotten when I open them, I have finally stopped buying produce here. I recently purchased raspberries, came home, opened the box, All raspberries were covered in mold that you couldn't view from the top of the packaging. I tried to order a birthday cake from their bakery only to be told they basically couldn't do any type of decorations because they did not have a cake decorator. I'm not sure why they have a cake book full of decorated cakes that they are supposed to be able to design continually displayed...Other than that, prices are ok, my husband feels it is cheaper to shop at Food Lion. We always seem to use the self checkout because we would rather not have to tip the baggers who don't let you bag your own groceries. Basically, we avoid coming to this commissary and will continue to do so until things change. The only positive thing is that staff is friendly.
