Immediately had an Attitude from one of the staff when I hadn't even asked for help yet. I guess she assumed I was going to be impatient so told me with distain that I would have to wait. While I was waiting for help I browsed the showroom. The prices were staggering. The toilet booster I paid $69 on Amazon was an outrageous $349 at Fonte. $280 difference. Can you say RIP OFF!? 10 minutes now and still no help. The walker I bought on Amazon for $55 is $380 here. Everything is geared to rip off the insurance companies but if you didn't have insurance you'd end up in the poor house. Employee did not give correct information about insurance reimbursement and state we could submit the claim ourselves once we got a walker prescription. Unfortunately this is not true, insurance won't reimburse us because they are an in network company and Fonte is unwilling/unable to help us. We paid for the walker and not will not receive any insurance reimbursement so therefore are out about $100. read more

Absolutely the worst place to go for your medical supplies. Avoid at all costs. It took four trips to this place to get my compression socks, only to receive a denial letter weeks later after I received them. This feels like retaliation for my patience. Whether your young, middle of the road, or elder, there generally comes a time, especially with the latter, you have to get some sort of medical needs. Recently it was determined I may need some vascular surgery on of my legs.It'll probably be this fall. During the interim the Doctor told me to get compression socks. At the conclusion of my exam he gave me my paperwork and a list of medical supply stores. At the top of the list was Fonte's. I live 10 minutes from their store. I went there Friday and spoke with Tom, the vice president of the company. He looked at my papers and knew right away what I needed, and they were in stock. After my purchase, he suggested that he show me how to put them on, the first few times are not easy to learn. So he helped me with them. And I may add over the weekend I had some difficulty so I returned this morning, and one of his staff re-trained me so to speak. Compression socks can be a bummer, a bit difficult putting on in the beginning. I think I got it down down now. LOL Tom, and the entire staff are very courteous and professional. They know their business well. They have a wide supply of medical needs. They get a 5 star from me. read more

I have been in this store several times in the past year and every-time I go there, I come away totally disgusted. The staff are not knowledgeable in their products, they are lazy, don't want to really assist you and they move like turtles, really large slow turtles. I really detest coming to this store! Also, my friend received a phone call from Fonte Surgical requesting payment for a medical device that she had purchased over six months prior to the phone call demanding payment! I was in need of a motor chair fonte took almost a year to provide a chair it broke down within a couple of months under my warranty it took month for someone to come out to check it then the sevice tech mike gave a diagnosis without checking the chair out that was in june it is now September and still the chair not fix i will use these people never again read more

I have had nothing but terrible experiences with this company. We've been having problems with my mother bed since May. It's practically August and we still haven't gotten it fixed. Supposedly they are waiting on parts, but we haven't heard anything from Fonte in over a month. Today the WHEEL of my mother bed finally just BROKE! I called as soon as they opened, the service manager didn't have any clue about the previous issues/order with the bed, and said nobody could come until Monday. I've been a customer of Fonte's for over a year. My Tubi grips come from them and I am in the process of getting a hospital bed. Everyone from customer service, to the rehab department, to the person delivering my supplies and the gal that answers the phone have been nothing but polite and helpful. If there's a problem, I have always been notified and they keep me updated until the problem is solved. I would recommend them to anyone. In today's world it's rare to find someone who follows through. Someone who does what they say they'll do. Someone who takes responsibility for, and does their job. Very unhappy with the service all the way around. They tell you they have the wheelchair in stock, but then paperwork sits on someone's desk for weeks! After several phones calls to Fonte and mostly getting no where cause there is always an excuse. Finally get the wheelchair after seven weeks, need to make a couple of changes with different accessories, again waiting to get those. Okay now we are going three months still not taken care of.
