Got the chicken tenders... for 3 strips... it was $20!!! It wasn't even a meal. Just 3 tenders. Thought that was slightly outrageous.

This year it was held in the poolside area at the beautiful SLS in Miami Beach. There are sooo many Asian food choices from Ramen to Tandoori chicken tacos. So many selections and only limited belly space! The vendors were perfectly spaced in the area where you have room to fully admire their yummy offerings, some displays looked more delicious than others. Every dish was flavorful and nicely decorated with additional seasonal sauces to further enhance the taste! To round out the night there was a dragon dance! Very colorful and entertaining! A round of applause goes to Lucky Rice for hosting such a beautiful and tasty event! There were so many delicious dishes that it will take too long to call out every vendor, you just have to go there and experience it for yourself, trust me, you won't be disappointed!!

First and foremost, do not waste your time or money coming here…read more As a Miami native, I was genuinely disappointed by both the food and the level of service. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. We started with the "jumbo" wings, which were anything but jumbo. We received only flats, and they were some of the smallest wings I've ever been served. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were told the manager would take 50% off the order. However, when the bill arrived, we were informed that the manager had already left and the discount could no longer be honored. Instead, we were given only the $4 happy hour discount, despite being promised otherwise. For our entrées, we ordered the brisket sandwich and the half chicken. Neither was worth ordering. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because the current level of food quality and customer service is simply unacceptable. and quality is embarrassing for miami.

The…read moreambience is beautiful, at all their locations they go, the extra mile to create a luxury atmosphere, but luckily the prices and service do not suffer. We came in on a Wednesday night and had no issue getting a table for two The place was pretty busy. We started with some Pisco sours, I tried the lychee. It was so delicious and unique. I love that they bring you a basket of plantain chips and Canchitas to munch on. We shared a classic ceviche as an appetizer and added some extra onion. They initially forgot to put the extra onion on top and they are extremely stingy with it. If you don't ask for extra, I'm talking maybe five slices of red onion in total. They are also very limited with the amount of sweet potato they put on the plate, not enough to have a little bit in each bite by far. But the fish was delicious and so fresh, and the leche de Tigre was perfectly tasting and texture. For the main course, we shared the risotto à la huancaina con lomo. It was so good. The steak was cooked perfectly so tender and seasoned to perfection. The one Kiana sauce could have had a little more of the aji flavor, it was indeed very cheesy, but it was still delicious and made for such a great meal.

Would've been 5 stars... if the 20% tip actually came with 5-star service…read more We were charged a mandatory 20% gratuity, so I'd expect at least the basics. Instead, our server stood there and watched us struggle to box up our own food to go. Not even a little help. And our water was never refilled. Now, the food... The ceviches were all pretty similar, with the exception of the coconut one. They were tangy, citrusy, and good, but every single one was begging for some spice. If you're ordering ceviche, I'd skip the mixed seafood and stick with the fish-only options. The red snapper was easily my favorite dish of the night. Deboned, fried to perfection, and presented beautifully. My sparkling wine paired perfectly with it. The salmon sashimi was also delightful. Overall, come for the classic ceviche and the fried fish. Those are the standouts. Just don't expect your 20% gratuity to include help boxing up your leftovers.

For years, I had always passed-up the Poseidon on Washington Av. in South Beach,…read morethinking it was too much of an upscale restaurant for my social bracket. But, when I saw they were advertising a Lamb Gyro for $12 (Tuesdays), I took the leap. Seems it wasn't that far to jump. Although there were table cloths, cloth napkins and silverware, with room for a true dining experience, the fan sitting atop the bar, (blowing-off more air than necessary), and the plastic plants on the walls/ceilings threw-off any pretense I had of the place. When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.

The acrobatic shows began at 8:00 p.m., with additional performances at 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. The acrobat was graceful, mesmerizing, strong, and sexy. When we made our reservation, we also asked for a table with a good view of the show, and they accommodated us with a fantastic front-row view from one of the couches. It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Although the restaurant initially feels like an indoor space, the central courtyard is actually open-air with overhead coverings, so there is plenty of fresh air while still feeling sheltered. Tall palm trees, pools of water, couches, and traditional dining tables create a beautiful and distinctive atmosphere. Overhead fans kept the temperature surprisingly comfortable despite the Miami heat. For Miami Spice, we had the tuna tacos, miso branzino, and Milk Tea for dessert -- jasmine green tea crème brûlée with honey tea jelly and lychee sorbet. Dining at Jaya was one of the highlights of our trip to Miami. Delicious food, great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful entertainment made it much more than just dinner. They also had a dessert station which included- crepes, bread pudding, macaroons, various cakes, and the most delicious cinnamon rolls that we've ever had. The food was delicious! The ambiance was incredible. It is outdoors so you will need to prepare for the elements. We also had live music while we were there. Service was pretty great in the beginning, very attentive, but you could tell when the restaurant was starting to get busier, which meant our server was occupied for longer periods of time. It took us some time to get our server to bring the check. It's a 2-hour dining experience that you pay $110/person plus the 20% service charge but we ended up getting shuffled out about an hour and a half into it. I'm assuming she was the manager who was directing other staff to "get these people out of here" to our table and the surrounding tables next to us. Which the tables next to us sat after us, so they were there for even less time. So aside from the older woman, who I assume was a manager, everything else was great!
