Whew this place was very underwhelming. The scenery is nice seems like you're at a resort. I came here for a bday dinner for a party of 10. I was trying to confirm with the host is their a group check or if it's separate but after asking twice she didn't understand what I asked due to her response. The server came with menus and they had plenty of drink options and food even sushi. I received my drink which was a passion fruit lemonade with rum and I didn't tasted any alcohol. For a $16 drink I was disappointed and I noticed they only had one server. After our food was taking a while the server came to apologize and to let us the gyoza and sushi items was coming from a kitchen from another restaurant. I was okay with the food coming from another restaurant as long as it was hot. When my food finally came it wasn't hot and it seems like it was sitting out. To wait over 30mins for a meal that's not freshly hot was unacceptable. After the manager asked how was the food and I said it wasn't great he didn't even bother to continue the conversation just picked up the food and never returned so we can pay our bill. Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from. The food was low quality and extremely overpriced, $270 for 4 people with no alcohol. The restaurant was empty, the place is dirty, run-down, and nothing justified the cost. To make it worse, the waiter repeated 3 times the tip was not included despite a service charge already being applied and stood there staring us down. The syrup added too much sugar for me but the chicken was seasoned well and crispy enough as well as the waffle was sweet enough with the syrup. Sola also seems to have a popular hotel where guests are frequently going in and out through the restaurant which I thought was a bit off putting. Otherwise, they have an extensive cocktail list and a decent food menu. I ordered a Miami vice which was so good and then had four tropical lemonades and didn't even get a buzz which is weird-- so not sure if there is much alcohol in the drinks. I recommend sticking to shots or doing happy hour from 5-7pm Monday through Friday. Service was exemplary! Santiago was attentive and quick. The performers were also beautiful and entertaining!
