Classic American diner food deserves its own culinary category. Large burgers, tons of fries, and soda pop. We were able to get a few spots at the counter for the classic diner experience. The ambiance and history of the place is neat, with it being a real diner train car that was converted over the years and brought to South Florida. People have been eating in the structure for a long time! Overall, the food was tasty. Everyone was really happy with what they ordered. The burgers were larger and not the small patty type, and there were more than enough fries to have something left over by the end. Service was quick, which is one advantage of sitting at the counter. It can be a fun stop on any trip. Five stars! read more

This is one of my parents all the time favorite restaurants whenever they were visiting us in miami. The foods wasn't that great either through none if it was fresh! I don't understand why my parents loved come here because of American traditional foods all they would order all what they loved to eat! I wasn't able find from what I would eat through my sadness moment when my husband got departed it's heartbreaking to look over town where we loved it all from with our hearts. We stopped by for brunch and had a great experience. The food was delicious and very satisfying. This place is excellent. It's exactly what you want from a diner. I've included the history of the place as described in the menu. The menu is huge, anything you could want in a diner, they have it. Everything was really tasty and the portions are huge. I ordered one egg and it came on a massive plate. We had a large variety of items including omelette, hash browns, home fries, pineapple, small fruit bowl, French toast, silver dollar pancakes, and all the meats. Everything was awesome. The service was very efficient and everything came out quickly. The diner itself is super cool looking both inside and outside and they have a ton of seating. As someone who likes to wake up late on vacation the cute 11th street corner diner's all day breakfast was perfect. I had a omelette with freshly squeezed orange juice, both were great. My girlfriend also had eggs and orange juice with no complaints. Prices were fair and the service was good. Would definitely recommend :) read more

Chicken was a little bland on the seasoning but still a solid selection. You get a breast, leg, thing and wing. I chose yuca fries as my side which was also good. Nice out of the way off the strip eatery. That's still reasonable price for being in Miami. read more

I've been to Miami so many times and this was the first at this place. Seen it loads as walking by and there's a bar/club next door as well. Service was great, friendly staff and our waiter was excellent. We got seated fast, mid week but we had a big group. They originally had us down for two table but the whole party was there yet so one of the tables was given away. Anyway, a larger one opened up. Menu does have a lot of items. We wandered in here, drawn by the cute diner decor on the exterior (which carried into the interior), because after a day out and about, diner food just feels right. The food was elevated diner food, as we found out. They have a huge milkshake menu with every candy and fruit flavor that you can think of. I was really tempted to order one but thought about the sugar content. Luckily my friend ordered a chocolate almond milkshake that I was able to try---delightful. Creamy, nutty, sweet, chocolatey, it was a complete blended sundae, which I think is what a milkshake is supposed to be. I ordered the Poulet Sandwich, which has grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, greens on a hummus spread roll. The sandwich was clearly fresh from the greens and the plumpness of the red peppers. I felt a little clean eating it while in a diner, of all places. I appreciate the inclusion of fresh, healthier dishes on a diner menu that easily could have been as greasy as a pancake house. Our server was prompt and available, when I couldn't decide what I wanted to get for 2 of his table visits. The diner easily got full and you can tell it became busy, but we did not have to wait forever to get anything. I went back inside the diner while I was waiting for my ride to use the restroom, a single one for each gender. A cockroach walked across the floor while I was in the women's restroom. I went to the manager who was standing at the front stand arranging menus and had to use Google translate to tell him that a cucaracha was in the women's bathroom. I'm not typically a diner goer, but I wanted to check out this restaurant with my friend. We walked here from the hostel and I was sadly catcalled by a homeless man that my friend cursed out. When we got into the restaurant, it was severely packed with people. My friend and I decided to eat on the patio which was available. I was excited to taste the food and thankfully, they had vegan-friendly options. I opted for an avocado salad with vinaigrette. My friend got the traditional American breakfast. The portion sizes were massive, I was expecting to receive a tiny side salad. The salad was delicious and flavorful. Our waiter was nice, funny, and attentive. I was in the mood for some breakfast and so I hit up 11th street diner and as usual it did not disappoint. I had a short stack of Pancakes (2) with 2 eggs over easy and toast. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. But the food was definitely super delicious. Eggs came out perfectly as did the Pancakes. The pancakes were golden! Just the way that I like it. (Not burnt). Nice and fluffy. Toast.. You can't mess toast up. Then again I've had places give me barely toasted bread But this place brought me perfectly toasted bread! Service was great. Staff was attentive and kind. The place itself is beautiful. You know.. A good ol classic dinner with the sheet metal facade. Can't go wrong with these. This my go-to when in SOBE. I may try new places, but this is always on my agenda. Service is great, and the food is well made- not overly greasy like breakfasts in other establishments. It has the classic diner car and an ample outdoor seating area as well. Menu is robust and there's something for everyone. We had Nutella pancakes, eggs Benedict, and make your own omelette. We came for breakfast after getting off a red eye flight so we were exhausted. Bummed to find out that they actually are not 24h Friday and Saturday. They open at 7:30 on Saturday. They have a huge menu, good variety and good coffee. Their cornbread hash was delicious (some of the best we've ever had), as was the French Toast, but it was a little soggy inside- not cooked enough. The potatoes and sausage were also good! That said, the food was just okay. The waffle burger was an interesting idea, but it didn't really wow me. For the price, I expected a bit better quality and execution. Was drawn in by the cute retro diner facade. Was hoping for a great meal, but left underwhelmed. I ordered the "world famous chicken sandwich " and it was small, greasy, and totally unremarkable. The $10 milkshake was tiny and just average--definitely not worth the price. As other Yelpers have mentioned, they tack on an 18% mandatory gratuity, which feels excessive given the below-average food and service. And to top it off, they don't even accept MasterCard. For a place just a couple blocks from the beach--loaded with a variety of better albeit overpriced sidewalk cafés with better food and vibes--you're better off heading in that direction. Season 3 Episode 9 ... DDD ... Guy visits the 11th Street Diner & shares its heritage!! It is an original Art Deco Diner from Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1948 by the Paramount Dining Car Company of Haledon, New Jersey and transported to Wilkes Barre, where it opened that year. It continued serving traditional American food for 44 years, at which time it was dismantled and transported to the historic Art Deco District of Miami Beach. After many months of restoration work and with the help of the people of the city of Miami Beach, the Diner was restored to its original Art Deco design and opened on September 11th, 1992. "Now a Miami Beach landmark, the Diner has been showcased in magazines, movies, music videos and TV food shows, including The Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
