    I have been to Chima in Tyson's a few times, so I decided it was time to try Fogo De Chao. We visited on a Sunday night and were seated right away. We did the full churrasco, which gives you access to the salad bar and the meats. The salad bar was delicious and they replenished it frequently. The meats that were brought around were very good and came quickly when we had our tokens green. We did get a few meats that were a bit undercooked. I like my meat rare but some were less than rare. The service really sucked, and will probably keep me from going back to this location. My friend ordered a beer and it took a while to be delivered. Once they delivered it, they didn't open it and we didn't have a bottle opener. We also had a waitress that only visited our table twice but was frequently checking on other tables. We kept trying to make eye contact with our waitress to get our check, and she just kept ignoring us. We barely got water refills as well. The table beside us also didn't get helped much, and they ended up making a complaint with a manager. For the price, I did expect that we would get some service, it felt like our table was invisible to our waitress.

    First let's start with the thought: What a GREAT ALL day HH spot! So, I came here on a Friday and thoroughly enjoyed the casual, cool, and welcoming vibe. I sat at the bar, which gave a sense of community. The consistent customers and waiters of Fogo all knew each other's names and gave a sense of genuine care for one another. I ended up getting the Saucy Legs and the Picanha Burger for a grand total of $16 ish dollars... what a STEAL! Then the portions and taste... no disappointment! Needless to say, I WILL be back.

    We've been going to various Fogo locations for years and love it. This location can get packed so make sure you have reservations and be prepared for vibrant noise. Get the Churrasco Experience. This is the real deal here. Continuous tableside carving of Picanha (prime part of top sirloin), Fraldinha (bottom sirloin), roasted chicken, ribeye, lamb chops and sausage. All juicy and super flavorful. Prices are not cheap but for the amount of food and the quality it is worth it. Reservations via Open Table.

    We came here two days after landing from Brazil and four days after visiting the Brazilian Fogo de Chão in the Brazilian city centre. Very different places, this one was very loud and the frequency of meat offered especially the higher end meats were infrequent. We were offered more chicken lamb,, gizzards, bacon wrapped in things. It was only after I complained that someone came over to my spouse and spoke to him. The place is not conducive to an intimate evening. The meat was hot and seasoned well; however service didn't meet up to expectations, drink was good- we had the traditional Brazilian drink- Caipirinha. After walking away with my mother, my spouse said people came by and served him because Melissa, the Customer Service Representative,brought them to him. She was very responsive to our feedback. We stayed and decided to order dessert, just to give the another chance. We ordered Coffee and dessert just to check on service consistency and it's an issue. Melissa came over and asked us if was ok. My 95 yo mom asked " where's the dessert " she asked if we wanted more coffee and said that she'd check on the dessert. Barry asked if they provided sleeping accommodations here to me. I told him no. Dessert came with Melissa's help. She's great- we're thinking that they had a busy night.

    I've been to the Reston Fogo 3 times and must say the latest one is the least enjoyable experience. It was for a Father's Day lunch with my son a day early on Saturday. The salad bar selection seems to be of less quality than before. The plates they bring to the table with mashed potatoes and plantain is smaller than before. The meat going around the restaurant seems to be only around 5 to 6 selections with lots of chicken variations. I do like their chicken but Fogo is known for their meat so a bit disappointing. I had to ask for Beef Ribs and Lamb Chops which is unusual. Maybe it was Saturday vs. Sunday At least the waffles are still around for a good dessert to end the lunch. Might have to go to the Tysons location if I want to do Fogo again or try the other Brazilian restaurants.

    Not every Fogo de Chao is equal! I've been a loyal Fogo customer for years, and I can definitely say that not all locations serve the same quality of meat. This Reston spot is probably the second best after the DC one, not just because of the vibe but also the steak quality. They always nail the perfect temperature, and the steak runners here really know how to get you the right cut.

    I took a group of 13 coworkers to Fogo de Chão for an after work dinner and we all loved it. We got the"Best of Brazil" special. Service was spectacular! The meats just kept coming - one juicy morsel after another with stops at the fresh market bar for adding greens, cheese, fruit and salads. This was truly a memorable meal! Atmosphere is lively with lots of wait staff proudly bearing mouthwatering steaks to slice at your choice of rare to well done. Don't forget to save room for the dessert! I recommend the tres leches cake for a real treat. I can't wait to return for more!

    5 Stars: Miguel at Fogo de Chão - The Best Bartender in Reston Town Center! I simply had to write a review for Miguel, the bartender at Fogo de Chão in Reston Town Center. If you're looking for a consistently great drink and phenomenal service, he is your guy. I've been to this Fogo a number of times, and every time Miguel is behind the bar, the experience is top-notch. His drinks are consistently delicious. Seriously, whatever I order--whether it's a classic Caipirinha (which he makes perfectly, naturally) or something more complex like a custom martini--it always comes out balanced, ice-cold, and exactly right. It's rare to find a bartender who nails every drink, every time, but Miguel does it. Beyond the quality of the cocktails, his service is incredibly fast and attentive. Even when the bar is completely slammed (and it often is!), he manages to take orders, mix drinks, and keep the whole area running smoothly without ever making you feel rushed. He's efficient, professional, and genuinely seems to enjoy what he does, which makes sitting at the bar a pleasure. If you're dining at Fogo de Chão or just stopping by the bar, do yourself a favor and sit where Miguel is working. He's a true pro and a huge asset to the Reston Town Center location. Highly, highly recommend!

Very tasty and too easy to drink fast lol Apps: We got the baked shrimp and the beef carpaccio. Both outstanding and so flavorful. Just needed some bread to soak up the sauce in the baked shrimp. The lemon rind in the shrimp was a perfect compliment to the sauce and the carpaccio was perfectly seasoned and the thinnest slices I have ever had which made it delicate and delicious. Entrees: We got the sea bass and the short rib bolognese. Blown away by how good both of these were and so very different. The short rib bolognese had a rich but not heavy flavor with fresh pasta and a delightful velvety spiciness - not heat though. The sea bass was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked with a carrot ginger puree that was sublime with the spinach and fish. We loved both of these entrees. Really wanted dessert but sadly not more room which was better for our stomachs and our wallets. It's not a cheap endeavor here but worth the cost for a fabulous meal out and a very cool vibe.

I did ask for a side of balsamic to drizzle a tiny bit in - but it really didn't need it. Dinner consisted of their braised short rib - AMAZING! So very tender and flavorful... YUMMM!!!! A nice balance of flavors, sweet and savory in this dish. Their pasta menu looked so very nice that I wanted a pasta too, so prior to the mains, I split their smoked chicken pasta with a colleague and that dish was crazy - so smokey and flavorful! We were prepared to pay a corkage fee so we could enjoy a bottle we had brought for the occasion, but the manager explained that it was a firm policy set by the owner and could not be overridden. While we understand the need for policies, a bit more flexibility for special occasions would have gone a long way. Overall, the experience and food were very good, but policies like this can impact repeat business. Parking nearby is somewhat of a walk. Alternatively, valet parking is available at the nearby JW Marriott, which may be more convenient. I think the restaurant may have its own valet parking although I did not see it being offered the day we came.

After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The one blip was when we first entered, the young-ish man at the host desk looked at us with a "What are you doing here?" grimace. I was stunned since the hosts are usually very happy to see patrons come in. Beyond that, though, we had a lovely time. Our server was quite friendly and got hubs customized Cuban order just right. I had the killer tomato basil soup and tasty grilled cheese. I also got an order to go of the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It was yummy the next day for lunch. We hadn't been to NYAJ's in years. It had somehow fallen off our dining radar. We'll be back more often after our recent terrific dinner.

I meet some old friends at this restaurant fairly often and we are always well taken care of. We often have Caesar as our waiter and he has been there a long time, and always does a great job. He is polite, friendly, professional and attentive. The food is good. I don't know if I would say there is anything fantastic about it, but I have never had a bad meal there. I've had the chicken parm, the Cuban sandwich, burgers, and salads and everything had been tasty and freshly prepared. I love a good Cuban sandwich and NYAJ's is a good one, and they are one of the few restaurants with a Waldorf salad on the menu, so I have ordered that several times. My only critique of that would be, I wish it had the candied pecans that are listed as an ingredient on the menu, but the last 3 times I have had that salad, they have been missing. I also love the French onion soup there, as well as many of the appetizers. You really do not have to worry about getting a bad meal at Not Your Average Joe's, it's very reliable.

I do think that a mix of the steak and other dishes is a good balance but it would've been great to have more greens as an option. I looked at their menu, then set out to learn about their various entrees. My husband agreed to give it a try. Before going, we settled on trying "Pabellon Criollo" which is considered the Venezuelan national dish. We were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and were surprised to see a few large parties dining in. Also, people came in to get their takeout orders. Not sure as to how the ordering worked when dining in, we made our way to their counter. The owner, Carlos, spotted us and got 2 menus. We confirmed that we wanted to dine in. Carlos is very friendly and welcomes customers with a smile. He also was our server. To drink, I had a lemonade while my husband had a can of Coke. We let Carlos know that we were both having the Pabellon Criollo. This dish consists of black beans with a bit of shredded cheese on top, white rice, carne mechado (which was shredded), 2 arepitas (small arepas) and some platanos maduros. When the food came, it was obvious that the platanos were freshly made. Carlos also brought a bottle of brazza sauce (also called "salsa de amor). He told us we could put it on any item we wanted. It's a mild sauce which is mayonnaise based with cilantro. We enjoyed this dish. Everything was mildly seasoned yet still well flavored. Nothing went to waste! When it was time to pay the check, Carlos rang us up. We both say we would like to return and try their steaks. From start to finish, we had a great experience.
