First time visiting any Fogo de Chao location. My family and I went for brunch and had a great time! We all tried the full churrasco experience and would say we definitely tried at least 11 cuts of meat. Some of our favorites were the pork belly, the bone-in ribeye, and the picanha. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and the service was excellent! The gauchos were all very nice and so accommodating for meat doneness preferences and even asked if we had any meats we still wanted and would offer to send it out next for us. I think the market table had good fruits offered but would love maybe some labels to know what all the different options were and would have liked maybe a few more hot items to go with my meal. Food was ok I have done many Rodizio and was excited about trying this one but it was mediocre. We were not served the meats that were offered. The servers were rude it felt like they were bothered by everything. We did best of Brazil advertised for $49 we were charged $54 each one of us had 1 drink and bill was $270 that included tip. The location is very pretty. It was my bday and they gave me a crème brûlée wh/ was really good. The salad bar is ok. Overpriced and under delivered. I recently dined at this location for the first time and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing form start to finish. It started as we were escorted to the table it was very noticeable that the hostess was annoyed. The food was equally underwhelming. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass entree along with the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It was served about 20 minutes apart so naturally all of the food items were cold. Beyond the temperature issue, much of the food lacked flavor and seasoning. For the price point, I expected well-balanced flavors, but everything tasted bland and uninspired. The dining area was also uncomfortably crowded. The tables were placed extremely close together so as the waiters were practically on our table as they tried to serve the infamous rodizio. It felt more chaotic than upscale. To make matters worse, at the end of the meal I was given the wrong bill. Overall, I left feeling that the quality of service, food, and overall atmosphere did not justify the cost. I had high expectations, but sadly, this visit did not live up to them. read more

Had lunch here the other day. Great selection. We did the salad bar only and enjoyed it immensely. I was full after 2 plates. It was not just greens, but different cold cuts including smoked salmon, a cheese selection, rice and beans, and soup. The waiter was on point and super sweet. Management came over to check in and we told her our waiter was the best. Great selection. The fruit can be benefit from a bit of a check-in to make sure they look fresh. I love fruit. This place discriminates against people on a wheelchair..... SHAME ON THEM! My husband and I tried to have an early dinner at this location which was our very first time visiting this restaurant BUT after waiting 30 minutes we were told by a very unfriendly "customer service representative " (we were told there was no manager in the restaurant) that they were understaffed and unfortunately for us there was no space for wheelchairs at their restaurant. We could see two huge areas with empty tables but they couldn't accommodate a person on a wheelchair...... THIS IS NOT OK!!!! read more

I've dined twice at this location within a year and both times have been incredibly disappointing. Last night we were crammed at a table with the folks on either side of us less than a foot away. Service was painfully slow and meal timing was bizarre. Twenty minute wait for one glass of wine (that looked like a three ounce pour). We ordered a lobster tail with our meals that showed up at our table before we even got to the market table. We saw the same cuts of meat three or four times. No filet. No ancho. No beef ribs. I mean it's a chain and the food tastes about the same as the others. However, this place had extremely dirty floors. Our table had left over giant pieces of food from the previous customers. The service was slow and lacking. We were out in the corner in the back and hardly anyone came. Place definitely needs to be closed for a day and cleaned top to bottom. Meat was good all around. The girls and I got together and got dinner. I found parking in the mall plaza lot. I walked into a dimly lit, nice restaurant. We sat in the bar area first because they wouldn't sit us until half the party arrived. They have an all-day happy hr for certain items, and I got the red blend wine, and it was good. We then went to sit at the table, and Angel was our server, and he was great. The girls got the market table that had all you can eat meats and a salad bar. The restaurant was so nice to let me get the bar item of the chicken sliders. All the food looked so delicious and when I dug into my slider it was good! The girls enjoyed their food as well. After hearing of my review, one of the managers reached out to hear about my experience, and offered me a second-chance at this establishment. To be honest, I really didn't want to come back (see previous review), but everyone and every establishment is worth a second chance. Off the bat, the service of which I was highly-critical of at my first visit, was much better this time around. We were asked for our drinks, the sides came out, and we were explained on how to go-about the buffet experience. The food? How was it even more delicious than the last time? The winner for me this round was the Lamb Picanha. That piece of meat was exquisite, especially with the fat belt around the meat keeping it moist. I am also a sucker for those pao de quijo balls and beans with farofa. All the food was absolutely amazing, and the ambiance too --- it was a Tuesday evening --- was filled, but I didn't feel squished in the establishment either. The manager Harold, came to check from time-to-time, and even was on the floor several times to ensure quality was being kept, whether with the food or service. For dessert, I had the papaya cream (which, if after a rich meal you want something easy on the stomach --- go for this), which was light and mildly sweet. Overall? This experience was a 180 turn-around from last December. Best of Brazil is a bust. 3 of the menu offerings were not served and the others came out with great irregularity. Of the 7 or so items that were served, only two of them were good enough to ask for 2nds of (Picanha and Bacon wrapped chicken were the highlights). The meat quality is ok, but almost everything is completely unseasoned. Service was fine and everything was clean. This place lives up to it's mediocre reputation. We won't be back. read more

This place is gorgeous and captivating as it feels like an experience when you walk in BUT do not be fooled because the price of the meal ends up being a nightmare. The food is good but not $500 good for 4 people...2 drinks (not good), Coca Cola, & 2 bottles of water. The servers are nice but the structure is horrible! Servers are not assigned to tables so in the first 20 minutes we had 4 servers come to our table asking the same thing. We were interrupted every 5 minutes from the beginning until the end so having a conversation was frustrating. Not the servers fault but it does become annoying. Went here with family recently on recommendation from family member. We were quickly seated at a comfortable table quickly, and promptly greeted by our server. Drink orders were quickly delivered, albeit, expensive. I don't know why an establishment must charge $6.75 for a $1.25 bottle of Budweiser, or almost $20 for an Old Fashioned. I know I know...liquor license cost recoup....but that's high for NJ rates. I felt those are very much NYC drink prices in the burbs of Jersey. $4 Bud feels better, they're also making money on the food at a place like this. I didn't order a second, but would have with more reasonable charge. We all got the unlimited meat main course, whatever they call that. We went to the salad bar and warmed up with lots of greens offerings, potato salad, many other treats. All fresh and plentiful. Then the meat started arriving. As to a previous review where the patron noted lack of service, this was not our experience at all. As long as our table cards were on the green side, the servers came by every minute or so with the freshest serving from the kitchen. Some were absolutely piping hot, so caution was needed....it was fresh from the grill. My only complaint is that they employ a number of foreign servers, which trust me is NOT an issue...but I simply could not understand what meat they were serving even asking a few times. Very thick accent, so hopefully others have better hearing. I just went with the look and said yes or no at will. Some of the meat was absolutely amazing, while other servings left me rather disappointed. The full chicken leg was absolutely inedible with the worst flavor I've ever experienced. I left it with only one bite taken, couldn't eat it. Most of the beef served was either very over or under cooked....hard to find that perfect middle ground. Also, most had been very much over-seasoned, the sodium levels were out of control and I was mercilessly sipping water as I could almost feel my fingers swell on the spot. I believe I'm overly sensitive to salt, but I sense this would have been an issue with most dining adults. If you go here, drink lots of water to prepare for the full-on assault from salt!! If you go with ladies in your group, it's likely you're overpaying. My wife ate about two pieces of filet (which she felt was from Australia and not flavored to her liking. At $69 per adult, I guess that was $34 per medium sized strip....wow. Go with the guys and put your feedbag on to get your money' worth. If I got to a premium steakhouse, I can get a 16-20oz steak cooked to my liking for about $54. Hum....interesting. Not sure I'd go back, honestly, but it was an interesting dining experience. read more

Just had an absolutely wonderful meal at Fogo de Chao. The restaurant sits in a corner between Macy's and BJ's in the Willowbrook Mall. The restaurant itself is very nice, like all of the Fogo de Chao locations. The staff and management were so pleasant. We had the full experience and the food was just fantastic. All of the different meats we tried were seasoned to perfection. The sides were delicious and then we ended with an incredible dessert. Just a perfect evening. I've been to several of their locations but this location is by far the worst. The food was mediocre, the service was awful. We were a table of 6, 3 of us had the full experience and we barely saw the servers all evening. When we did, the meat was full of gristle and fat. First time visiting this location, but have visited the location in Fort Lauderdale. Had reservations this past Sunday for 8:30 pm with my party (6 of us) and we had arrived a good 5-10 mins early. Waited for about 2-3 mins before someone came to the hostess station to greet us. Spoke with the lady after the 2-3 mins wait and told her we had reservations for 8:30, she told us to wait 5 mins before we could get seated. Restaurant was already not busy at all and plenty of tables that were open. 5 mins passed by and we waited again to be seated. The hostess sat a couple that showed up after us first, then came back to seat us. Sat down, was given the menu to look over and we all decided on the $72 experience and ordered our drinks. We all got up and went to the salad bar ( one of my favorites) loaded up with just about everything and then sat back down and had 2 baskets of pao de queijo and asked for them to keep bringing it once our original two baskets were done. Then the meats started coming but we didn't have the place cards at the table to tell the servers to bring us meat or not. So our server came back and apologized for not bringing the place cards as he wasn't sure which experience we were doing. The food was good, but some of the meats I wanted to be med was given to me on the more med rare side and about 2-3 cuts of meat were salty and not edible. The restaurant was very dimly lit and had to bring the menu close to my face to read the menu for dessert. I will not be returning back to this restaurant at this location again. I had a way better experience in Fort Lauderdale and that establishment was packed the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out of there. I plan to visit the NYC location next time read more

4.5 star Came here with my husband for our anniversary. The restaurant is located right at the main entrance of Willowbrook Mall. I learned about this chain/location through an article on nj.com. The food did not disappoint. Some items blew us away, some could be better. All in all the food served were good. We also had the papaya cream and creme brulee for dessert. They were excellent. Knock down .5 star because of 2 things: first we waited a while before being seated. The ladies did not seem to know what they were doing. Second...I am not sure why we had 2 wait staffs. I felt that they both thought my table was theirs. I will say Giovanni was excellent. Didn't catch the name of the second waitress, but she definitely needs more training. She did not know about the pastry that came with the papaya cream, saying that she had never had it before. Giovanni came back and guided my husband how to eat the dessert. Including drinks and tips we paid over $200. Seems a little bit pricey, but I am sure it's pretty standard for this type of restaurant. Costco sells their gift card at 20% off. I will grab some gift cards before going back again. read more

I had to rewrite this review a couple times as it was getting long winded so here is the shortened version: I love a good churrasco experience and want to love Fogo de Chao, but the service is the killer at this location. I chock it up to growing pains of a new location. Between disappearing staff, slow drink and checkout process, to the limited meat selection (supposedly 13 varieties but only offered 5 or 6) and salad/charcuterie/fruit bar, maybe they are trying to figure out what does well with the local clientele. The offering does seem limited compared to other churrasco grill restaurants, especially for the price. The ambiance is very upscale and will give it another shot in a few months. Hopefully they get the service part fixed soon. read more

Went for dinner on friday night 8:30. Not sure how long this locations been open, but we've been to the one in ny so we knew what to expect..meat sweats. Instead of the usual $70(?) we asked for the Best of Brazil menu, only $44. Please insert waitress' face of distain here lol. We didn't know it then but we'd only see her one more time for the rest of the night. The meats were forgettable. I'd really recommend the Best of Brazil menu for as long as they have it available otherwise I'd say skip it and just go to a steakhouse. read more

Birthday lunch today !! We have arrived to the Wayne location because Paramus was closed. It's easily viewed from outside. The place is immaculate, the decor is gorgeous & not gaudy. I had to use the ladies room & so clean and well kept. The market table and feijoada bar are in front of where the meats are fired up and set up to serve. They serve the meats using a sword lol. It looked like it. Once you turn that go sign it's like rapid fire meats being presented to you . Now because I like to help people out so they don't look silly like I do ....there's a small tong given to you along with your silverware....when the meat is being sliced at tableside you grab your tong and grab it placing it on your plate. If it's sausage they just cut you a piece and place it for you. On the table there will be these tiny fried pillows that taste like a cheese bread puff ....oh my goodness so delicious!! So we decided no appetizer, in order to fully enjoy the churrasco experience. For drinks my husband as usual ordered a beer and I decided to try a capirinha. That is the national drink in Brasil. The one I tried was Mango Habanero. Not spicy at all, sweet, and refreshing. Our Lunch Churrasco began once we flipped the little signs to green!! We walked over to the market table, they had from charcuterie meats, pickled and grilled vegetables, salads and fruits! I had a little of everything! When we got to our table the meats began. They are cooked between medium rare and medium well. Luckily I had medium rare slices ... I'm know sure if you can request medium rare only ...if anyone goes let me know lol. They serve 2 small side dishes for the table. Honestly we hardly made a dent in them. We were so full, we couldn't take another bite. We did end our lunch with 2 espressos. One thing I must say that the ambiance is a bit loud, not a bad thing but unfortunately my husband & I are hearing impaired. So for my fellow hearing impaired friends, boost up those hearing aids or sit on your hearing side so you can hear what delicious meat is being sliced. I totally recommend trying this restaurant out! Came here on a Saturday during Brunch. Made reservation just in case for a large group of 8 (including a child) because I didn't know if it would get busy. Inside looks very nice with decorations. The service was great in the beginning. They made sure to refill the water glasses so that they were not empty. I saw the cocktails cart, but I didn't go for it. It looked really good the way it was displayed. Went for the Churrasco Experience. The market table where you grab your sides. They had cold cuts, different types of cheese, vegetables, salads, fruits, etc. The different variety of meats were good. There were like 2-3 meats that were on the salty side. The server asked kindly if my family and I needed new plates, which was nice. The manager came to the table to check if everything was good. The chimichurri sauce and hot suace were good. I didn't touch the side dishes of cheese bread, crispy polenta, mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas. But how it was presented was very nice and it looked good. I was more focused on the sides from the market table. In the end, the service lacked because it took about 25 minutes to get the bill. We were trying to get the attention of every employee, but they kept walking away from the table. But I'm guessing they were prepping for the dinner side. It is on a bit pricey side. (I was able to get Fogo De Chao gift cards from Costco. I checked with the restaurant beforehand, and there is no limit on how many gift cards you can use. I had 6 of them.) I chose the brunch over dinner because on the website, you dont see the difference of the meat options for the Churrasco Experience. The list of the meats is the same for brunch and dinner. Unless there were different meats offered during dinner, but it wasn't listed on the website. And the reviews I saw some customers didn't have great experience during dinner time. Happy New Year, everyone! I dined at Fogo de Chão for the first time on New Year's Day 2024, and absolutely loved the food. Firstly, a HUGE shout out to our server: Giovanni (the smooth Gemini). He was engaging, funny, knowledgeable of the menu, & quickly provided everything we asked for. "Gaucho" Gary was also very kind, & was patient with my struggling to get the meat he cut for us. MEAT OPTIONS: 5/5 The "Gauchos" come around constantly and bring AYCE meat. The gently cut the meat, as you separate what you like with tongs. My favorites were the Lamb, Filet Mignon, Garlic Pork Chop, & the Porterhouse. The meat is cooked medium-rare, it's juicy, flavorful, & pairs well with the cold bean/corn salads & the hot Sweet Potato Casserole. *FYI: There aren't any gravy options available (not American-style steakhouse). However, they have the 'Chimichurri' sauce (a fresh, herbal dressing with oil). Food (cold bar): 4.7/5 Between the cheeses, meats, olives/peppers, and salad options, I absolutely loved the cold bar. There were lots of salad options; fresh fruits (pineapple, kiwi, tomato, etc); tomato/mozzarella/basil with olive oil (my favorite); cold corn, potato, and bean salads; "cold cut" meats, & several dressing options for the green, leafy salads. Food (hot bar): 4.5/5 White rice, black beans, sweet potato casserole with marshmallows, & several other soups were available to accompany the meal. The black beans were seasoned, & it was delicious. Decor: 5/5 I loved the mounted white candles, and watching the flames flickering and dancing amongst themselves. There were glass windows all around, smoky high-ceiling lights, & lots of touches of photographs, art, and ropes to pay homage to Brazilian culture. Parking: 4/5 Parking is plentiful, with lots of disabled parking near the front of the restaurant There is also a BJs gas station (BJs is next door & provided cheaper gas). Bathroom was clean & well-stocked with paper towels & toilet tissue. It's also wonderful, that the bathroom is away from the dining room floor. *Make a reservation, best practice, especially for parties over 4 people. - Formal Complaint Regarding Employee Conduct on May 18, 2025 I am writing to express a serious concern regarding an employee's conduct on May 18, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m. The incident began when an employee disagreed with a request to help his co-workers. This disagreement escalated into an argument behind the salad station, where he became visibly angry and cursed loudly in front of customers. This unacceptable behavior created an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment for staff and customers. I can only imagine the negative impact this had on other customers' experiences and overall team morale. All employees must maintain professionalism, especially when interacting with colleagues and customers. Thank you for your immediate attention to this serious matter. Food--For the price of $144.69, it was a costly for two. My Hamburger, for $10.00, had tender meat like filet mignon, but the rest of the food did not agree with the price. I was very excited to try fogo de chao and came in with another couple to celebrate my birthday. They sat us in the back by the bar which was okay by me. It was separated from the main action. Our server was nice but had a flat affect and was not super helpful or friendly. I did love the drinks but everything after that went down hill. The buffet was horrible. When I say I tried a little bit of everything and it either had no flavor or was cold (items meant to be warm). Some of the meats were good but at one point in the evening they stopped coming even though our cards were still green showing we wanted more. We waited probably a good 25 minutes before we said something and then they brought out a few items we specifically asked for. At one point in the night close to closing time, the turned off the music which before this was blasting. It felt like they were rushing the people that were still there out. I probably won't return back and I hope these were just growing pains that they will improve with time. read more

I live in Randolph, NJ I wanted to go to Eddie V's my wife said let's go to Fogo de Chao in Wayne it's closer. The meat coming out was great, but the waitress and manager was terrible she brought a drink over that we didn't order. I said what is this she said they made a mistake you can have it. I left it on the table we did not drink it and they did not have everything to make the drink my wife ordered. Upon getting the bill we noticed the drink we did not order was on the bill. She is going back and forth with my wife and my wife pulled out a pen and circled the unwanted drink then she said oh my mistake. We eat out at least 2-3 days per week we spend about 250-300. I ask her for the check she keeps giving it to my wife. I will never go back to this location I will drive the extra miles. I did not have the same experience in Paramus NJ. I will never go back to this location not sure which location is older but Paramus was very well kept this place it was food all over the floor not well kept for a place that charges this much I expect a lot more. read more
