So my sister graduated medical school in NJ and we were looking for a quick restaurant so that we can dine. The staff at the front were welcoming and courteous. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server, a shorter male who I believe was named Ricardo, took our order. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and yuca fries. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked a staff member serving steak to check on the order, and he agreed. After 45 minutes, I followed up again with another staff member, a woman with reddish hair in a ponytail, and asked her to check with the kitchen. After waiting over an hour with no update, when she passed back, I informed her that I no longer wanted the food, and she acknowledged my request. Throughout this entire time, our server never once checked in on us. When he finally came to the table, I confirmed that my order had been canceled, and he said yes. He then proceeded to tell us that cooking takes time and that we needed to be patient. I dine out regularly and understand reasonable wait times, but the lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable. The comment made by our server felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. We celebrated our birthdays here and had such a great experience at the Wayne location. The ambiance was chic, modern, and really set the tone for a special night. We started with drinks, several of us ordered the caipirinhas, and they were delicious. The salad bar offered a wide variety of options, though I do wish there had been more fruit selections. Service throughout the evening was excellent. Our party went with the unlimited churrasco experience, which was fun and interactive. You are given a coaster with red and green sides to signal when you want more or when to pause. The meat selection was impressive, with a steady flow of picanha (prime sirloin), filet mignon, ribeye, garlic steak, chicken, pork, lamb chops, and sausage, all well-seasoned and flavorful. My personal favorite was the pork belly, especially with the honey drizzle, such a perfect combination. My least favorite was probably the chicken, I thought it was a little bland and needed more seasoning. I do wish shrimp had been included in the churrasco rotation, but it is available to order separately. Our main server, Mary, along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. We came here for a relative's birthday, and it was definitely a place for a special occasion. It's at a mall, so plan accordingly to give a few minutes to look for parking or navigating around as needed. There's not much of a waiting area if your party isn't all present. But there are a lot of tables and if you want rodizio, there are a few different types and quite the ample market bar. Some of the highlights of the cold food (which you can start going to after you order, include cold cuts, smoked salmon, a variety of fruits and vegetables, which is good because you need a little variety in content from the salty meats. I will say, one of the people in my party is very difficult and the waitress, Daniela was extremely helpful and got the assistant manager Rafael, to confirm they were able to cook a meal to their specific dietary specifications. Despite this family member not even thanking them, I thank them for going above and beyond to meet those demands. The rodizio ranged from sirloin, filet, picanha, ribeye to chicken (even bacon wrapped), lamb, and sausage. It's quite a parade of decadence. They were all very juicy and not too salty, they came around frequently, and you can also request a specific meat you haven't seen circulate in a while. I will say the the cheese rolls and the grilled cheese (Queijo Assado) topped with honey were also fantastic accompaniments. Overall, everyone was able to get what they wanted and plenty of it. Went to Fogo to Chao in Willowbrook plaza for a birthday with 8 people today. We all ordered the full churrasco experience with a couple people getting the upgraded option. The service was very slow and unattentive. We had to ask for certain things numerous times. They seemed to bring the same cuts of meat avoiding the actual churrasco options as they are more expensive. It was still a nice time. The salad bar wasn't anything to rave about. Some highlights were the Brazilian lemonade, lobster Mac and cheese, the chicken with bacon, and the sirloin cuts of meat. The Seafood tower offering fresh seafood this just seemed to be very overpriced. Wayne, NJ - we found ourselves here on Christmas day when the duo forces of indolence and holiday over-exertion led us to decide last minute to dine out instead of cooking an elaborate meal at home. Since I didn't plan ahead, the rodizio place I originally had in mind was fully booked already, but Fogo was ever the reliable standby. I love the Fogo in Manhattan, which you can always count on for a large group reservation or a last minute one due to its sizable space, and always enjoy the bountiful market table/salad bar as much as the meats, full of a great variety of antipasti, salads, charcuterie & cheeses, grilled & roasted vegetables, breads and soups, seasonal fruits and more. I was rather disappointed by the more modest market table spread at the Wayne location in comparison, as not everything tasted fresh and some items looked like they'd been sitting out a while. But no matter, we came for the main attraction of churrascaria, and stuff our faces we did! The servers arrived right away so we didn't have to wait. In fact they were so enthusiastic that they entirely ignored our table's "no thanks" sign the whole evening and kept coming up lol. Better than being neglected and having to wave down the food I suppose! For the most part, I enjoyed the survey of meats across categories - steak, chicken, lamb, and sausage, as well as the fried polenta (yum!) and maduros that were brought to us, though some meats were a bit dry. The servers seemed harried and didn't ask us what cuts we wanted (rare, medium, etc.) so we quickly learned to make our requests before the meat was sliced. The service was very kind however. My little one fell asleep on the way over having resisted his nap all afternoon, and snoozed through the whole meal (our corner booth was perfect), finally waking up after we'd already asked for the check, but the staff were sweet to still bring the food around and made sure he had enough to eat. Went here for a special family dinner out. Reservation was easy through OpenTable. The restaurant is huge, with lots of seating and beautifully laid out. The food is delicious and lived up to expectations. My favorites were the Picanha Top Sirloin and Ribeye. There was also this special Pork with Cheese that was good. I like fruits, and enjoyed the bananas, pineapple and papaya. Had dragonfruit for the first time, and I didn't find it special. We had the lava cake for dessert, and it was exceptional. They also have a tres leches cake, which I will try next time. The hostesses were not accommodating and need some extra training, but the rest of the staff was incredible. I came here for my birthday with family. I didn't have a reservation but since it was only a party of 3, the wait wasn't too long. I got the churrasco which came with access to the buffet area. My mom got the salmon entree. I tried it and it was cooked amazingly. All the cuts of meat were delicious. The sides were tasty as well. My favorite was the cheesecake brulee. It's probably one of the best desserts I've had at a restaurant. The service was a bit chaotic. It was a full house so everyone seemed quite busy. We made a reservation a week in advance and we're able to get a table just fine, the place does get packed so I would recommend making a reservation or calling ahead. They have two very big "rooms" and even smaller separate rooms for bigger tables so if you book for around 8-10 people I believe. As with most rodizio places, at the beginning, we only got chicken and not so good cuts but at the end we were able to get some really good ones. We were bombarded though once we switched our signs to "green" which was very overwhelming - I've been to other rodizio places and yes, they come to the table often, but this one was much more, which wasn't our preference at all. The bar for the salad and the sides was OK, I had a lot of options and I really did like their baked vegetables but considering other places I've been to, this one they didn't really stand out as much. I order their passionfruit caipiriña and I was really good, just very strong which for $10 was a pretty good deal! Because we were celebrating a birthday, we did get a dessert on the house, which was their version of Tres leches and I really did like it - they seem to have flambéed the outside of it, which gave it a very nice caramelized taste. We came here for Valentine's Day and had reservations. When we arrived, we were honestly shocked to see a line wrapped outside the restaurant. We checked in, but I've never seen a place so packed -- it was extremely crowded inside. It was freezing out, and we were trying to find space to stand, but it felt overwhelming. Even with reservations, we waited about 40 minutes to be seated. Once we were finally seated, it took quite a while before we received water or were able to order. Our waitress forgot to bring us tongs for the table, and throughout the night it felt like every time we needed meat served or cut, we were waiting a long time. The whole experience felt drawn out and draining -- by the end, we just wanted to leave. They did offer us $25 off for our next meal, which we appreciated. The food itself -- especially the meat -- was delicious. That was definitely the highlight. However, the long wait times and slow service really took away from the overall experience. Unfortunately this was by far the worse Fogo de Chao experience we had. Not only was the service inconsistent, but the selections from the salad bar was not fresh, and the seasoning on the meats were inconsistent, with some pieces either being completely unseasoned, and some being extremely salty where it was inedible (as evident on the filet mignon where you can literally see coarse of salt on its surface. We requested specific pieces from Angel and other waiters, where what we requested never came. The servers bringing the meats around also stopped coming to our table despite our mark displaying "Yes, Please" for over half an hour. At the end no additional meats ever made its round to us, so we decided to leave. This was by far the worse experience we ever had at Fogo de Chao. Most other times, we would be completely satisfied where were offered more than enough, and the selections would be fresh. In the photos below, you can see how unripe the pineapple and papaya both were, with the salad dishes being displayed almost empty without being refilled. We came at 5pm on a Tuesday so they really weren't that busy, with at most 6 tables. We mentioned the issue with the overly salty cuts of meat to Angel, but ultimately nothing was done about it. Overall, this experience unfortunately tarnished the great reputation of other Fogo de Chaos, which will make us second guess next time we think about having Brazilian steakhouse. This was doubly unfortunate because the restaurant itself looked so classy, warm, and welcoming, with so much potential of providing such an elegant dining experience...which sadly wasn't the case for my family. I have been here multiple times- for work and for personal. I have to say it is horrible and really gone down hill on the weekend. Weekday service and food is better but on the weekend it's absurd. The meat was dry and flavorless. The seasoning was off. $200 later and I feel like I just threw away money. We did let them know that we weren't happy with the food and they gave us a free dessert which unfortunately the Keylime pie tasted old and I love Keylime pie so it's very rare for me to not eat it. There was one individual that was amazing with service and went out of his way to give us our favorite cut of meat and it wasn't his fault but the food wasn't that good. The servers are constantly running around, which would be impressive if they actually had time to notice guests. There's a table sign that's supposed to signal when you're ready for more food, but in reality it doesn't do much. Whether you get served seems to depend entirely on whether a server happens to spot you while sprinting past. The food is fine--nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. The one thing this place does well is quantity. Once someone finally notices you, they're more than willing to keep feeding you. If the goal is simply to eat a lot, mission accomplished. I was so excited to try FDC in Wayne. The restaurant is gorgeous, beautiful interior, upscale appearance, huge elegant bar. The market table was so colorful, full of variety of cheese, salads, fruits and vegetables. But sadly, it was a straight downhill experience from that point. We started with Sirloin and Parmesan Pork which were good. Then it was a 5-8 minutes of wait time between each item. Eventually they started bringing them in faster. But quality and taste, lord have mercy. The lamb I got was raw, pure red in the middle. Other items like ribeye, steak, lamb chop, chicken were so overly cooked, they were impossible to chew. Most of them also lacked flavor. Grilled cheese was the best item in the whole churrasco for me. Final nail in the coffin was when I got the check, I saw we were charged $71.50 each for dinner experience, even though we were in for brunch experience that is $54.50 per person. Stopped in for the New Year Eve churrasco with Red and everything is perfect. Our favorite waiter, Jose, treats us like family. We look forward to seeing him as much as eating the savory meats. Jose is quick to offer me some lamb chops which he special orders for me right away. Red orders the bottled water which is nice and cool. I order the Coke with no ice. Yes, it is nice and fizzy, not flat. All the meat is amazing from the chicken, and pork to the beef rib and tenderloin. The salad bar is bar none one of the best and freshest you will find. Do not hesitate to indulge in the soup and beans table. I would really like if they offered one free refill on soft drinks. Other than that, we know several of the friendly staff who always take good care of us and the restrooms are always nice and clean. We travel about 15 miles to get there. I have to admit I was going into this experience as a Newark "Ironbound" snob - thinking how can this chain compete with the authenticity offered by Newark Ironbound's terrific Spanish/Portuguese restaurants - the food, the ambiance, etc? Well, Fogo De Châo did a great job! For $44, you get a nice salad bar to pick from, a menu of specially-priced drinks, along with potatoes, biscuits and fried sweet plantains at the table - even before the meat arrives! Ambiance-wise, Fogo is a bit more subdued than the loud , busy, bombastic experience you'll get at some of Newark's greats but, for me, a 10 minute drive to Fogo works well! Don't get me wrong - still love Ironbound but this is a nice alternative! When the meat does arrive - it's all delicious and coming at you fairly quickly. Service was great. Now, for $44 , you don't get certain meats, such as filet mignon, but I gotta tell ya - I don't think I missed out at all. The Top Sirloin was excellent, as was the lamb - my two favorites for sure. Garlic steak was Ok, flank was good, and some turkey/chicken/chorizo selections - all good! Finally, the cheese with drizzled honey is sort of a mini dessert IMO. Delicious! Great place for kids too, hear me out: little kids are free and big kids are 1/2 price, and you eat as soon as you sit down so there's virtually no waiting time and antsy kids. A lifetime of anticipation ended in a disappointing reality Ever since I lived in Brazil, I had been dreaming of dining at Fogo de Chão. I kept teasing my non-Brazilian husband that we had to go together for the "ultimate rodízio experience of a lifetime." We finally went last night (5/17), and unfortunately, my high expectations burst like a soap bubble. As frequent diners who love going out to high-end restaurants like Blue, our standards might be high, but Fogo de Chão simply did not deliver for the price. The food was just okay. Many meat cuts were tasteless, tough, and sliced way too thick, which honestly ruined the appetite and made us stop after just a few varieties. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was decent. However, the bill for two surpassed $230 for just the rodízio, one caipirinha, one lemonade, and a dessert. Speaking of dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée to finish the night, and it was a total letdown--completely cold and tasted overwhelmingly like sweet egg yolks (like a heavy eggnog) instead of a rich vanilla cream. Stumbled in here on a Friday afternoon when I came to the mall to run some errands. Sat at the bar and had 2 glasses of rosè and the lobster & shrimp tacos. Loved that the Rosè was part of their all-day everyday happy hour menu! The tacos were delish. Not what I expected being in lettuce wraps but they were so good and had some kind of kick to them! Also had the polenta fries which should not be missed. The restaurant is very fancy for something that is a chain and in a mall. Went here for a Father's Day dinner, and was excited to go since I've heard so many good things. Obviously the things I've heard must've been about their other locations cause this probably ranks at the bottom of all the rodizios I've been to. Place looks nice, the cold buffet looks sufficient, and the actual grilled meats weren't bad (some of the picanha was overly salty, but overall not horrible). However, the service was disorganized, and for the price you're paying, a god awful experience. First off, we had a reservation for 5:30, but still had to wait about half an hour to get seated. We were then seated in a room that was off to the side of the main dining area, and the place was so cramped, we kept getting bumped into by waiters/waitresses. Secondly, the people that came around carving the meats seemed like they had no rhyme or reason as to how they were doing it. Some would go clockwise, some would go to the back first, some just went to specific tables.... It was a mess. We were literally at the first table when you enter the room, but the servers were all over the place, often skipping us altogether. A few times we had to actually flag them down to get a piece of meat, which is NOT how a well-run rodizio is supposed to operate. There was esp one server who had a permanent RBF that kept skipping over us like we were invisible (yes Daniella, I'm talking about you) although we literally had no interaction with her. Our waitress and hostess were nice, and some of the carvers were on point, but overall if we're spending over $100 per person, but feel like I gotta chase down someone to get a cut of meat then something's wrong. We all got the full churrasco experience, but I never saw the bone-in rib eye go around once. I think I may have seen it exist in the room at some point, but it might've been just a hallucination/mirage. Even after the waitress asked us if we wanted any specific cut of meat, we still didn't get what we asked for. The bar menu did not disappoint as the drinks were very good as I didn't expect this from a chain restaurant. After sometime, we ended up ordering a bunch of food from the bar menu and this menu was pretty good as well. Had a lovely lunch here today celebrating my mom's birthday. Did the all you can eat and the meats came around frequently and tasted fresh. Some were tastier than others but there was great variety of not just meats, but also fresh buffet food (fruits, cold cuts, salads, rice, beans). The ambiance js beautiful inside and service was very attentive. We also tried the cheesecake brûlée for dessert and it was delicious. Always happy to see another location of Fogo de Chao opening up! This location is nice, especially the outdoor seating I would say! We sat indoors since it was definitely too cold, but would love to try the outdoor seating next time. This is my second time at Fogo de Chao and it did not disappoint! Food was absolutely delicious and it seemed like there were even more variety meats that we had. Some of our favorites were the garlic steak and the honey with the chicharron. Both were so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The market table is always nice with a good amount of options of food and fruits to supplement the Churrasco experience with all the servers coming around with the meat. The only issue we had was that we were seated by the window and often times, we had to flag down the waiters to stop by with the meat for our table. We did that several times, so that was a little annoying since we had to keep looking out for stuff since we would just go through periods of no waiters coming by. So overall, food is phenomenal and staff was friendly, but just takes some time to get your meat to the table so just ask. I'll still be back though since the food was too good! Wow. What a disappointment. I was looking forward to experiencing Fogo for the first time and was greatly let down. Myself and friends made reservations for a double date for a Saturday night and were anticipating getting to dine in. The drinks were the best part of the night and the only thing that I can't give a ding on. We were seated by the bar area which left us feeling a bit pushed away from the main dining room, but figured it wouldn't be a big deal. (We were WRONG) Our server wasn't too welcoming/hospitable and throughout the whole night we had to keep calling him over whenever we needed assistance. The "Churrasco Experience" meats were just okay; along with a lackluster salad bar. I've definitely had better rodizio experiences elsewhere. All of that we could get by, however what ruined the experience was when the churrasco servers stoped circulating service in the bar dining room. We all had our coasters on green (to show we were still dining) and there were NO servers for approximately 20-30 minutes. We had to hail over various employees to request service as we were never offered SIX of the menu items on the churrasco menu. That was a huge let down. All in all it left us really disappointed all around. All in all, and I don't say this often: but I wouldn't return-nor recommend this location to others. read more

Hostess was rude to begin with. She shut down taking a same day reservation within 2 hrs. Meanwhile I went online and made it. Initial drink was horrible and the waiter offered to replace with another drink, never received my drink. Then had the nerve to tell me next time to let them know right away. Could have if someone had come to my table I was the one who asked for assistance from another waiter. Waited forever for glasses of waters then when they finally came only filled 2 glasses (party of 3). Never removed dirty plates so they were piled on the table till the end. Can honestly say I would not return. I understand it was Mothers Day but customer service was very under par. read more
