The restaurant was very busy, we had a reservation and arrived early, got seated right away. Gio was our server, very friendly. The food was delicious, my husband and I got the tomahawk , potatoes au gratin and lobster Mac. The part where they lost stars and possibly our service is with the drama between the staff. We ordered drinks when we first sat down and it took over 30 min to get them. Our server kept coming and giving us updates but he said that everyone else is getting their drinks except his patrons. We asked if we could talk to management and he said they're aware. Once our drinks finally came I did see him discussing it with management, which I appreciate. Came in on a Thursday lunch time... Was actually the first to be seated. Dined alone. There was no wait. The dining area was probably half filled. The spread or the "buffet line" was pretty lined up. I believe the one in Brea was a little longer but I did see that they had a couple more table for bread, candied bacon, and soup, rice. So I think it even out. Ambiance wise, it was pretty elegant. Well... that's the vibe it feels. It was nice to see people somewhat dressed up than the normal tshirt shorts, some were wearing business clothes while others were giving off that date vibe..... Now.... the food service started probably with the cheap eats..... Chicken, chicken wrapped bacon, steak wrapped bacon, pork.... then after a couple rounds of this, the spicy picanha, picanha, sirloin, popped out..... towards the end of my meal, they served beef ribs which were a delight.... after I paid for my lunch, lamb showed up for the first time.... So from there, you see how they tend to space it out... Probably it would be best to space stuff out just because they tend to serve multiple items before bringing out the pricier stuff... Taste wise... it would mostly hit... some misses were due to some meat being too dry and even after a long time chewing it just wont go down.... Anyway it's not bad.... 1 lunch with a soda is around 66 usd + tip. So probably 80 per person? Protip: go to costco or sam's save 20 usd for every 100 .... not bad... protip #2 go on a weekday lunch. My family and I decided to try the full churrasco experience at Fogo de Chão with the all you can eat option, and while the food was good, the overall experience didn't quite meet the expectations we had. At the beginning of our meal, the service was excellent. The servers came by our table frequently with a great variety of meats, and everything we tried was flavorful and cooked well. Unfortunately, as the meal went on, the pace slowed down significantly. Instead of the meats continuing to come around regularly, we found ourselves having to ask multiple times for cuts to be brought to our table. Even after asking, they were only brought out occasionally, which was disappointing considering the premium price of the all you can eat experience. The drink service was also much slower than expected. It took quite a while for our beverages to arrive, adding to the feeling that service became less attentive as the evening went on. Overall, the quality of the food was good, but the inconsistent service made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. As short staffed as most locations are, it just feels unfair to the people left trying to keep things running. However, in the past year Ive dined at the DTLA, Brea, and Irvine Fogo De Chau locations, and each one was phenomenal. Living up to their name and reputation. Since this Rancho location opened, being as its now much closer to me, I've dined there 3 times now. EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT. HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. Its has been the worst service I've ever experienced at any Fogo, any Brazilian steak house, and any restaurant period. We get seated and its like they completely forget about us. Going as long as FIFTEEN minutes before meat offering, all throughout the night. What makes it even worse though is the staff is so unattentive. They stand in groups, chatting, on their phones, completely unbothered. As if the concept of actually looking up and paying attention to their patrons is not their responsibility. For anyone wanting great Brazilian BBq, there are other much better locations. For those wanting the Fogo experience many of us love, drive out of the IE and visit any other one. Very disappointed with the service at this branch. I celebrated my birthday here with my daughter two Saturdays ago. Since it was a weekend, we decided to come around 3 PM to avoid the busy crowd. Unfortunately, that did not make a difference in the level of service we received. We were seated at a table for two in the middle of the dining area. Beside us was another couple, while most of the surrounding tables had larger groups of 4-7 people. It quickly became apparent that the servers were prioritizing the larger tables and were not attentive to the smaller parties. Every time they brought out the meats, they would go around serving the larger groups first. By the time they reached the tables with only two or three guests, there was little or nothing left to serve. This happened repeatedly throughout our meal. We were there for about two hours and were hardly served any of the good meats. At one point, I made eye contact with a man serving but he only looked back at me looking stressed but never went to our table. I even mentioned the issue to one of the staff members going around for drinks, hoping things would improve, but unfortunately, nothing changed. Eventually, we just gave up and left extremely disappointed. I was also asked if we were celebrating anything. At that point, I was so frustrated with the experience that I no longer cared about the complimentary birthday dessert... so I said no. What should have been a special birthday celebration with my daughter ended up being a very disappointing experience. It was especially sad because I had been looking forward to having my Fogo fix. We usually go to the Pasadena location, but decided to try the Rancho location this time because we had plans nearby. Sadly, this experience completely dampened my birthday. Second time going to Fogo De Chao. I have been to the Brea location previously.This location is a little smaller with less selection at the salad bar. The restaurant is clean, modern and has a good amount of space between tables. Service was friendly but definitely not as attentive as it should be for a place like this. I booked online by clicking through a reservation link that said "best of Brazil" $49. I assumed that reserving through that link booked me for that meal type.When we arrived they found my reservation and seated us. We let the guy know that we were just doing the churrasco no add ons again assuming that the best of Brazil was just what we were doing. However, at the end when I was talking to the waiter about it he said that the churrasco that was the best of Brazil was different and that we were served and that we should have told him that specific name.I know it was not his fault nor the fault of the restaurant. I think it is a good ol bait and switch with the franchise as a whole and just a shady way to conduct and do business.At the end of the night the manager gave me 1 Best of Brazil price then 2 at the regular price.Overall, the meat was "good" and the service was friendly. The salad bar was ok. It's always a good time at Fogo. My son loves all of the meats rotating through so when I let him choose tonight's dinner location, this was top of the list. The food was good as always. My faves are the lamb and the rib eye. Leo knows my faves and makes sure he rotates through several times with them. We were sat on Alex's section again which is always a plus because he takes good care of us. Roman helped him out and he was really good as well, and of course we had the amazing Mya who comes by checking in to make sure we're good. This place is normally way out of our price range, but we found out about the bar menu with all-day happy hour food. Amazing prices! You can still sit at a regular table and ask for the bar menu. The $10 burger was delicious, and an amazing value for the price! We also got the lobster and shrimp tacos, which were okay, but mainly felt like we were eating a fancy and spicy cabbage salad. The 8oz filet mignon board for $17.50 was also very good. With 3 dishes total for the 2 of us, we came out of there spending $50 total, compared to other people spending $70+ each for the buffet. We visited Fogo de Chão for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday with my best friend. I had been looking forward to the experience, so unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The food was good, but not great. The market table, or "salad bar," was definitely a highlight--it was fresh, beautifully presented, and had a great variety of selections. There was plenty to choose from, and everything we tried from the market table was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the meats were underwhelming. With the reputation Fogo de Chão has and this being my first visit, I expected the meats to be the star of the meal. Instead, they just didn't stand out the way I had hoped. For the price and the occasion, I was expecting a more memorable dining experience. Overall, we had a nice evening together, and celebrating my birthday with my best friend was the best part of the night. I've been to this Fogo location twice this summer and have enjoyed it both times. We get the full churrasco and it's amazing! The market bar has tons of different options-fruits, charcuterie, pasta salads, etc. The waiters come around constantly with different meats, as well as Brazilian cheese with honey, and cinnamon pineapple. That pineapple is epic!! It's on the long skewer and they carve a piece off; it's hot, sweet, and cinnamony. It's like eating dessert! One star off bc on our 2nd visit our waitress started off so friendly and kind, but after bringing us our drinks we didn't see her again. We eventually had to flag down another waiter to get the check, even though we saw our waitress stopping at other tables. We've been here several times and always enjoy it. We usually go with the Indulgent Churrasco Experience, and everything is consistently delicious. I also never skip the Market Table and the Mango Habanero Caipirinha is my favorite drink. This location is always busy, which speaks to its popularity but it can feel a bit crowded since the tables are fairly close together and there's not much room to move around. If you're a local, they took over the old Johnny Carinos on the north west corner of Foothill & Day Creek. They are located in the same shopping center as Chick-Fil-A, REI and Ulta. There's plenty of parking available, but you might have to park a few lanes from the restaurant depending on how busy it is, but it's not a far walk at all. Made a reservation for my birthday dinner 6 days before, on the Open Table app. At that time, all the evening time slots were available and I thought it would be funny to select a reservation time of 6:45 pm instead of 7 pm. My reservation was for a Saturday and when we arrived, the place was PACKED! My sister arrived a few minutes before we did and checked us in and the waiting area was full. We waited about 15 minutes until we were seated, and during that time I heard someone ask how long the wait is for walk-ins and the hostess said 1 hour 45 minutes and I believed it. I encourage everyone to make a reservation ahead of time because I didn't think it would be busy, especially since Texas de Brazil is literally the same concept and across the street, but it was busy. We were seated on the south east corner of the restaurant which is all window seating and pretty nice. It has a scenic view of Foothill Blvd. (not super glamorous, but it's nice). Our server was Chris and I'm elated to report he was super attentive and took care of any requests, right away. Only one person in our party had never been to Fogo de Chao before and he was kind enough to explain how it works there. We've been to many other Fogo locations before and this was our first time visiting the Rancho location. We all agreed this was a great experience and on par with all of the other locations we've visited in the past. All of the gauchos were really nice, but our favorite one was the sirloin guy. The Pichana/sirloin guacho. He ran out of meat and was only able to give the last piece to one of us and said he would be back. We were worried he'd forget about our table, but he came right back with a new sword of sirloin, the best one we had all night. We asked for 2 pieces each it was that good and that gaucho kept saying it was the best one! We gave our server Chris, a few party favors (chocolate chip cookies) and he was nice enough to give us a free dessert on top of the birthday one I got. Chris was on top of all of our drink orders and refills throughout the night as well as our appetizer orders (we ordered lobster Mac and cheese as well), he cleared our table out quickly and brushed off any crumbs left behind before dessert. For dessert, we each ordered dessert (4 total) and the staff came out with like each one that said happy birthday on the plate and lit a candle for us. It was honestly a simple gesture but made our night. It was my birthday, but they involved all of us in the festivities and I got to blow out a bunch of candles. I had the Crème brûlée and enjoyed it, my sister had the papaya cream and she said it was good and tasted like papaya ice cream, my other sister had the lava cake and I thought it was ok, and my other sister had the Crème brûlée cheesecake and that was the favorite dessert of choice by the entire table. Highly recommend if you're celebrating a special occasion or want to take a date to a nice dinner that will satisfy both people. There is a bit of a dress code, we all wore dresses and a lot of the people dining in were wearing dress clothes, but there were a few people dressed in jeans or cargos and that passed for the most part. One guy showed up in fitted gym shorts and a polo and I definitely gave a look, cause one, tacky and it was not the vibe of the place at all. There were kids there as well and people with strollers so that's normal, but the kids that were there definitely did not make a scene and were well behaved. If you have wild kids, I would not bring them here because there's swords with like the hottest meat on them and if the kids were to run around and accidentally bump into one of the gauchos I'd hate for them to get any part of that. With a party of ten, we arrived between brunch and dinner hours, which allowed us to experience aspects of both. However, there were some aspects that were not ideal. They began by serving a selection of lower-quality meats and cheeses before any of the beef was offered. It seemed as though the intention was to fill guests with less expensive options and the buffet before the more desirable items were presented. I have visited similar restaurants where the meat service is continuous. However, at this particular establishment, I felt the need to repeatedly request that someone bring protein to our table. Considering the price paid for this experience, one should not have to actively seek out service. I can likely count on two hands the number of times someone approached our table, despite our large party. I must commend our server. He ensured our table was clean, drinks were refilled, and all our immediate needs were met. Furthermore, he managed all of this by himself and did an outstanding job. We arrived just before our reservation time at 7. We walked in, no one greeted us. In fact, if the hostess staff wasn't too busy talking amongst themselves, they would have noticed not just us walk in, but a couple other parties as well. It took at least 5 minutes for us to tell them we had a 7pm reservation. We then waited another 20 minutes to be seated. Our server Giovanni was non existent. He came by the table (on his own) maybe one time. I had to ask for the sides. My husband had to flag him down for drinks. It took forever to get a dessert menu. We chose Fogo de Chão to celebrate our anniversary, we made a reservation week in advance, we checked in and seated within five minutes. The table captain explained the menu and was very helpful and nice. He made drink suggestions which we really appreciate it. My drink came out pretty fast however we had to wait around 30 minutes for my husband's drink which was similar to mine (we waited 20 minutes until I had to ask the server that drink is still missing and then waited another 10 minutes to arrive). Although staff was very nice. I noticed that it would take them a very long time to come offer us meat despite us having the green side up of the meat coaster, servers would focus more on the large groups, while we were only 2. For the second round, at one point we waited 20 minutes for anyone to come by and offer meat. They did offer us a free delicious dessert due to our anniversary celebration, my biggest complaint is that when the check arrived I told the server that I had follow the instructions at the time of reservation and made sure I wrote down "best of Brazil" so that we could get the $49 advertised price by their main website which by the way, the only instruction that says specifically is "Mention "Best of Brazil" in the Special Request section when making your reservation online" the server, then said that we had to tell the server at the beginning so that they could give us a different type of coaster, (which by the way we never accepted the excluded meats like lamb and rib eye, specially with the lack of service at the table) anyway that was never explained on their website (that we had to tell the server) I insisted on this $49 pricing but she refused to even offer one regular price and one discounted price for their lack of proper instructions on the website. If she had made this small but significant accommodation, we would've gladly come back in the future. My first time trying a brazilian steak house. The decor gives an elevated feel and the smells were appealing. But would say that servers need more training: 1) We weren't made aware of the churrasco chip (red for "no more" and green for "more) until our waiter noticed that we hadn't been served any meats. And even then, we were told that it just needed to be on our table to be served. As we ate our dessert, overheard another waiter explain what each flip side meant to another couple that had just sat down. 2) when it came to paying, we were told our two gift cards were defective. Frustrating, but we went to Costco to remedy it. They informed us that whoever had served us, charged it and then canceled it, leading it to be flagged and locked. Frustrating to deal with. Back to the meal: Since we got the churrasco experience, we had access to the "salad bar". They have more than salad but be aware food is served chilled. Personally, certain things I like to have warm (asparagus, mushrooms, grilled cauliflower). I would say keeping certain items over a warming tray. Idk, just less appetizing to have it chilled besides those Kalamata olives, whole grain mustard, and hummus. Note: the plate you used for the salad bar is where your churrasco meat will be served too. "Gaucho chefs" would make their way around the dining room announcing the type of meat and offering it to those tables with chips. Only when waiter noted our missing service (and chips) did we have a wave of 5 chefs come by. After that, it was sparse. We must have been in an overlooked spot or maybe its intentional so you get full from nibbling on the sides provided? Unsure. I mostly enjoyed the sweet bread and Maduros (fried plantains). The meat experience varied. It would be over salted, overcooked edges, or fatty but sometimes you would get a succulent piece, if sliced at the right spot. By the way, the mini tongs they have at your table, are for holding the meat they are slicing for you. Be aware the juice can spurt as theyre cut. Overall, I would say I liked the drinks (Caipirinha). The strawberry hibiscus was made with fresh fruit but the chunks were a little too thick. That and the ice made up half my glass and also got stuck in the straw. Habañero mango was much smoother. Make sure to get those in as the timing was off. My partner was having Stella's and even his drinks would take 20 min. to get to our table from the bar. Fogo de Chão - Father's Day Visit. Visited Fogo de Chão for Father's Day and, as expected, it was extremely busy. We had a 1 PM reservation and still ended up waiting about 15 minutes past our scheduled time. Once inside, the restaurant was packed. With guests dining and servers constantly moving around with various cuts of meat, it was sometimes difficult to navigate through the dining room. Despite the crowds, the ambiance was excellent. I remember when this location was Johnny Carino's, and they've done a fantastic job transforming it into an elegant Brazilian steakhouse. The décor, lighting, and overall atmosphere are beautiful. Service was good, especially considering how busy they were. I ordered the sea bass, and it was outstanding. It tasted incredibly fresh and was cooked perfectly. The rest of my party enjoyed the endless selection of meats, all prepared well. The salad bar was decent, and the bar area looked fantastic. I also had the Strawberry Hibiscus cocktail, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely return. Next time, I'll just avoid visiting on a major holiday when the crowds are at their peak. read more

Made my way back again. Maybe an off day since last time was SIGNIFICANTLY better and this time was very off-putting. Staff was friendly but whenever they mentioned they would do something it never got done. Had to ask for a drink 3-4 times just to get one drink. Many of my colleagues decided to just leave because they never got the meats they wanted. We asked for cinnamon roasted pineapple maybe 5 times throughout the night and kept being told it was on the way and NOT ONCE did it arrive throughout the whole night. The salad bar - argula looked shriveled and many of the fruits looked unappetizing and dry. My colleague described the salad bar items as "sad" looking. On top of all of this when pouring the cheese honey, the waiter dripped honey off the plate and onto my pants. They also dropped bacon while slicing the meat, on to my dessert takeout without realizing. Worst of all they dripped oil onto my jacket which was resting on the back of my chair when moving around the meats. I did get to compare the chocolate dessert items and highly recommend the Chocolate Brigadeiro over the molten lava hands down. The cheesecake brulee is still the classic and my favorite but the brigadeiro is also delicious. Overall, was very disappointed with the service and quality today. We were there for quite some time and felt like we didn't get much of the meats or food items we wanted and I walked away with multiple stained pieces of clothing. read more

Let me start by saying how our first experience was not so good during New Year's 2026. The manager was very understanding and did not allow us to pay when we decided to leave. He provided us a return opportunity to give them a second chance. We returned recently and decided to forgo the churrasco experience. We shared the recommended wagyu ribeye and had the salad bar. Definitely a much better experience and the service was great. The restaurant offers a great busy atmosphere and offers a great selection of happy hour cocktails. The mint cucumber cocktail was very delicious with a great presentation. The ribeye arrived on a heated salted stone. I had never experienced the salted stone and if you have never tried it, it's a must! Love how you can continue to cook your meat to desired consistency. This was a great recommendation. Our server had other great recommendations that we took advantage of and they were spot on. We had great service all evening which definitely made up from our first experience. We witnessed another patron who was grabbing several food items with his fingers at the salad bar. However, one of the staff graciously confronted the customer to prevent future behavior. So glad we returned for another opportunity for the business to redeem themselves. Two concerns: 1. We had to wait about 20-25 minutes after our reservation time. 2. The handicap parking is across the parking way. Not sure why not in front of restaurant. When we left we saw two exotic cars parking directly in front and one even believed he was so entitled to park between two cars in the wall area creating his/her own parking ‍. I say tow it! Newer location located in a shopping complex. Parking wasn't too bad when we went for lunch time. Not as big as other locations but very nice decor. We sat in the bar area for the happy hour menu and relaxed. Our bartender was friendly and provided nice conversation. We always enjoy their HH food times and drinks. Sometimes we don't want to eat to heavy so the amounts and variety are satisfying. Complimentary cheese rolls are great when they're fresh out of oven. Our favorite food item on HH is the queijo assado - fried cheese with honey - not sure what kind of cheese but it's GOOD. . They also have good cocktails on HH, but today we just enjoyed a nice cold glass is Stella from tap. Fogo had a good HH and I would come back again if I'm in the area. read more

We had four adults and one child and ordered à la carte. Every dish and the service were disappointing. The sea bass was drowned in butter and lacked real flavor. The chicken breast took over an hour to arrive, and every time we asked, we were told "3 more minutes." The picanha was served extremely overcooked, which is unacceptable for a steakhouse. Our waitress disappeared before we even received our final entrée and never informed us she was leaving or that another server would take over. We never saw her again -- even after closing our tab. We also ordered strawberry ice cream and received vanilla with artificial strawberry syrup. Not good. If you want quality food and service, Texas de Brazil across the street is a much better option. Damn first 1 star is a while. Love Fogo been to the Beverly and Vegas location. Heard it opened near by so I was excited to say the least. Unfortunately, they have so much to do to level out there location. Yes it's new but damn corporate needs to do more quality checks on the management team. Booked a Birthday party at 6:30 pm checked in 20 min prior. Had a friend drop off a cake 3 hours earlier. We didn't get sat until 50 min later. So no point of a reservation. We all ordered, the waiter gets one order wrong. My friends ordered the Tomahawk to share. Server asked for a temp they say mid well. They get served a waygu ribeye. The waiter explains they need to cook it off on the salt stone to desired temp. So my friend and I lock eyes and wondered why they ask for a temp. So we inquired and they gave them the wrong item. Mid level manager comes over after we see them dispute at the side station and says he will price match to the tomahawk or they can make that but it will take a long time. So they agree to just keep it. Then it's cake time, server can't find the cake. Had to come back to ask my friend 3x on the name what it looked like etc. So foh doesn't communicate to BOH or the server that is serving the table for a birthday on the placement of where the cake will be. So we wait as the serve tries and hunts down the cake, dirty dishes cause he's busy. No one else helps although he said others would help him through out service. Cake was found about 30 min later. Then the bill comes with the ribeye priced incorrectly. So the serve again had a back and forth with the actual manager who seems reluctant to honor what his other manager said to us. Again no communicating, how do you run a restaurant without that. Manage your subordinates better and the floor better. Set down expectations and standard practices so you don't get mad or don't agree with what they said. Manager basics. Oh also, birthday boy really wanted bacon wrapped chicken. We asked everyone even the mid tier manager, it never came. Overall, we will continue the trek to other locations and avoid large parties in general. Manage needs to stop standing at the edge of the bar "managing" and engage with your staff who all looked frantic when we started analyzing the dynamics. Lastly, the dining floor feels cluttered with tables so close together they must have not had sq footage to build out like their other locations. Someone will get nicked with the knives moving through out the floor. We were scared for everyone. In terms of the meat, there was not much variety. I had the salmon which was good got the tail piece which is the best cut of you like it a bit crispy. Only good thing all night honestly. Sad customer experience. read more
