Staying at Seven Springs for the weekend, I patronized the Foggy Goggle FAR too often, both for lunch and at night. It's about what you'd expect. A fine bar with normal prices and standard bar food. For lunch, the Foggy Goggle has a nice atmosphere with large wooden tables and plenty of TVs. The service was also shockingly good, friendly and VERY fast. Food-wise, the sandwiches are all very mediocre. They come out lightning fast, since they are all pre-cooked and re-heated. I had the turkey sandwich ("The Foggy Goggle") and the grilled chicken. Both were very edible, but not much more. The portions are very large. I have never seen more french fries with one sandwich ever in my life, so splitting an app and a sandwich may be a good idea. The wings were good (and very saucy), and the nachos didn't seem particularly gourmet, but they were GIANT. The "full-size" order is served on a pizza tray. As a bar, the Foggy Goggle has a diverse and Pittsburgh-y crowd. Drinks are priced about what you'd expect. Since the room is giant, there's plenty of space to grab a table or check out the sketchy dance floor in the center. Last call is before 1 AM, which is kinda lame, but it works out well if you want to go to bed anyways after a long day of skiing but don't want to admit it to your friends... read more

As long as you skip the food the Foggy Goggle is a pretty awesome bar in the winter. It's part of the Seven Springs Resort but don't worry parking is free and you don't have to be skiing or anything, just come on in. The bar is lined with windows overlooking the slopes and the interior is all wooden and rustic feeling yet it's clean and modern, it's really beautiful. You can grab a table, high top, grab a seat at the bar, or even a table outside on the deck. Beers aren't dirt cheap but they're not a rip off either. I could have used a proper pint glass instead of the plastic cup but other than that it was nice and cold and fresh. 5 stars for the atmosphere, 3.5 stars as a bar, 2 stars for the food. read more

This is by far the best bar in seven springs. Every night I was her there was one specific bartender that really just made my night. Nick Johnson. If you ever have the pleasure of having him serve you take advantage of it. The other bartenders are superb but he was my primary. Went with a large group of friends and our experience was underwhelming. It took awhile for our food to arrive. And when it did, it arrived inconsistently. Some people had their meals 10 minutes or more before the last people to receive theirs. The only consistency was that everyone's food was slightly cold or lukewarm. I got the Groomer and the bun was so old and crunchy, it might as well have been a cracker. The meat was OK, but - again - it wasn't hot. My fries were cold and I had to ask the waitress for some fresh ones. Many people in my group chose not to finish their meals. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good by any measure. And for the price, it was nowhere near worth it. The only positive was the service. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately for her and us, the entire meal was brought down by the incompetencies of the kitchen. A real shame since I was looking forward to enjoying it. read more

Went here this past Saterday night with some friends to drink / have fun. Foggle Goggle is big, it has 3 bars so there is never a long wait for drinks. It's a ski resort bar so of course it isn't going to be the cheapest around, but you can get a 16oz can of beer for $4, Mixed drinks for $5. They have a DJ at night and the crowd was fun. read more

My family has a big group and we have gone here for the past 3 years on our annual trip to seven springs. The first year was mediocre at best, the second year was bad, and today's meal and experience in general was disgusting. I had to wait an hour for my fried pickles that were undercooked. I waited an additional hour and a half for my fish and chips, which tasted frozen. I was lucky. My cousin had to wait 2 and a half hours just for some Brussel sprouts. At one point, the manager came out and told us that our food would arrive shortly. But it took an hour after that. The manager hid in the back as we waited and waited for our food. In fact, the only reason that I'm giving this 1 star was because the pickles didn't taste that bad. But the fish was horrendous. My stomach has felt terrible since I left the restaurant. In fact here are some of the other mishaps that happened. My cousin ordered a burger well, but received it well done. Another one of my cousins ordered pretzel sticks and they managed to burn the pretzel sticks. The manager tried to bring out the checks before we even received our food. After about 4 hours of this, the manager finally came out and blamed his newly hired waiters and waitresses who were just caught up in the chaos. In addition, the place wasn't very festive. It just seems so dark and depressing compared to the rest of the lodge, which seemed so bright and decorative. All in all, if you're looking for a place to go to eat at seven springs, the foggy brewery is not for you. There are plenty of other places to eat and this one just isn't worth your time, much like the Pittsburgh pirates. The common denominator-Bob nutting. The Foggy Goggle was... ok. I may not have had such high expectations if they didn't claim to be the "Best Ski Bar on the East Coast!".. but they did. Which leads me to wonder... if they are, infact, the best ski bar on the east coast, what exact;y does that say about the rest of them... yikes. Anyway, after a long day of snowboarding, we decided to grab a bite and drink or 2 before heading home, and it was a quick and convenient stop. The food wasn't bad, but the menu is so small, that when I asked our server what she recommended, she literally named all 10 or so items on the menu. the bar ONLY offers beer and different varieties of bloody mary's, so if you're not a vodka or beer drinker, I guess you're out of luck (this is when ordering from a table... not sure if there are more options if you're actually sitting AT the bar). The service was decent- not great, but not horrible (I asked if we could get the penguins game on the tv near us, and our server told me "yeah you can just go change it"...what?). I will say, the view is great. You have an awesome view of the slopes from almost anywhere you sit, so that's a plus. All in all, we were satisfied and full when we left, and not totally bummed about anything.. we did expect a little more from the seemingly self proclaimed Best Ski Bar on the East Coast (I just can't get over that, if you didn't notice), but it wasn't a total let down. read more

It took over an hour to get our food 20+ minutes for a bar drink and the kids glasses were empty for 15+ minutes. What's worse is the manager was "too busy to talk with us". The server sections are simply too big preventing them from providing the best service available. And at the premium prices... Every experience at a resort should be top notch. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Also, it's worth noting that foggy "brews" is highly lacking selection of craft brews. If you're a mainstream bear drinker... You'll probably be content. I don't consider Sam Adams and goose Island worthy of "brews". That said, the bison burger was delicious. read more

I have to pick one star but would most DEFINITELY pick ZERO stars if that was an option. People that work here are complete assholes. My friends and I age from 23-33, and they caused problems for us the moment we walked in. I am BEYOND offended to be treated this way as I was just trying to relax after a day of skiing. I will never return to the foggy goggle OR seven springs. Peek 'n Peak is where I'll be for all of my future skiing trips. Also, the food was overpriced and tasted horrible. We had a great time, good atmosphere, good music from a dj. Bartender was super nice (even though we are ravens fans). Nachos were HUGE and tasty. We also ordered a turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun which wasn't anything fancy. Portions were big and beer selection was vast. Nice, clean joint. read more

Compared to all of the other restaurants/bars I have always liked the options here the best. A bigger selection of beer and better meal options in theory. This time I saw Ramen on the menu and thought what better way to warm up after snowboarding. It was truthfully the worst soup I've ever had. It was room temperature and had no flavor at all with dry chicken. I didn't even know chicken could be dry when soaked in a soup. Rather than a medium boiled or pickled egg there was just a chalky over cooked hard boiled egg. My recommendation is to for the brews and safe food options like pretzel sticks. read more

There is no hurry to be waited on nor is there any interest to keep patrons in the bar. When the ski lift shuts down at 9pm, no matter how many customers are in the bar, the bartenders give last call and begin to push people out. Food seems to be frozen and heated up.. Eek! read more

We went to "foggy brew" part of the foggy goggle. Pretty much the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. After waiting for almost an hr to be served, and an additional hour to get our food, our waiter spilled an entire cup of water in my friends ski boot!!! To top it off, no comp or attempt to make things right! So ridiculous! read more

On a busy weekend don't expect your food to take less than 45 minutes to be ready. The food is pretty darn decent but if you want to get back on the slopes, it is not at all timely. Too many patrons for far too few servers. Update: because my meal took so long and wasn't complete when I got it (and took 10 minutes to get the missing portion) they didn't charge me. Myself and 14 friends went on a ski trip to Seven Springs and had a great time at Foggy Brews during our ski/snowboarding break in the afternoon. We revisited the bar in the evening and had a terrible experience. A patron of the bar began harassing a gay friend of mine. We brought this to the attention of the security staff and they told us it was a "he said-she said" scenario and refused to do anything, in spite of the ongoing and very visible harrassment. One guy kept trying to physically attack my friend. It was hard to miss... After a lot of frustration, we finally requested the security facilitate separate shuttles for us to go home as the homophobic harassment was so severe that we literally thought the crew from the bar might chase us home and commit a hate crime. My group of friends was so stressed out, I suggested a tequila shot to salvage the night, but the security team told us we couldn't order drinks as we were getting kicked out. No one from my group was violent or retaliative in any way. As the group of "harassers" were getting kicked out they very openly pulled at the end of their eyes to make fun of the asian girls in my group, by squinting. It was incredibly rude and very visible. I was apalled by the actions of the bar clientele and even more so by the actions of the restaurant security. They openely allowed homophobic and racist harassment and kicked my out my group of friends who were nothing but polite and well-mannered all evening. I certainly don't want to spend anothet dime at an establishment that is racist or homophobic or who supports the views of bar patrons who act out on homophoboc or racist beliefs. My husband and I came to this restaurant for a bite to eat and a few beers on a winter day while at the resort and what a mistake that was. First and foremost, Foggy Brews can not handle the volume of people that come here. We were told it would be an hour wait for a table but we could go down to the bar end and see if there was anything open, so we did that and sat there for a half hour until a waitress who was completely frazzled and stressed out came up to us to take our drink order. 20 minutes go by and she comes back with our beers. We asked her for food menu's, 10 minutes goes by and she finally brings those. We placed our orders with a bar tender because our waitress did not come back to our table for quite some time. I got the quattro formaggi grilled cheese & soup and my husband got the pheasant pot pie- a very soupy consistency. Without a spoon. We never did see the waitress again until it was time to pay the bill (about 45 minutes after we were served). My husband was extremely disappointed in the price that we paid for these food items and the poor quality, quantity and taste. I'll spare the details- but my lunch made me extremely sick. We saw various groups of people sit down at tables then get up and leave because no one was serving them or even greeting them. As we were walking out, we overheard the hostess saying that they reached their maximum occupancy and were not letting anyone else in. I will say that this place has an extensive and impressive beer selection and maybe if it wasn't so crowded or could handle a larger crowd, i would give it another try. read more

This is more of a review for the "Foggy Brews" that recently opened adjacent to the Foggy Goggle. Foggy Brews is attempting to say they are a craft beer bar. DON'T be fooled. The beer is mostly Goose Island, Full Sail and Red Hook---all are owned by A-B (Budweiser). It is a disgrace to the area. They have a choice to carry Rivertowne (they have two of their beers only), Full Pint, Helltown, East End --all great local beers-- and they have all Bud products. read more

This review is for the foggy brews that is located near the foggy goggle. I would not recommend this restaurant. There were many staff members but no one was very eager to wait on us. The poutine was the appropriate serving size for a toddler and the price was too high. The chicken pot was also small even though it was listed under substantial meals and tasted like it came from a freezer meal. Our bison burger was still mooing and missing the onions. The bratwurst was nothing like the description. When we confronted the staff about this, the manager was only able to say I'm sorry, but did not offer to take anything off our bill. After I insisted they take the bratwurst meal off, our bill was still $92 for four to eat mediocre bar food. This restaurant charges gourmet prices but the food doesn't represent that. read more
