Located on the golf course, I would choose here over Brady's ANY day. Most days I would choose here…read moreover Out Of The Fire (OOTF). Why? They have booze, yo. Here's the real deal: OOTF is casual fine dining, this place isn't - but if you are considering OOTF, you should consider this place too. It's a no frills, fake flowers on your table, type of joint. They turn out pretty good food, you don't need a reservation, and you aren't getting charged a cork fee because they haz all liquor. If you want something with the pretense of fine dining, or if you have trouble admitting that a well executed sammich is always better than "fine dining" executed with mere mediocrity, just go to OOTF and don't be mad at me for leading you here. I really like their potato chips. I really like their salad bar (which is awesome for a quick, light lunch). I like their sandwiches - and am partial to their version on a club and one called the birdie. I've never ordered an entree, but have attended a special event there that had a buffet -- they had solid offerings (I don't think those appear on the menu, so no point in talking about them too much -- but everything was cooked properly and nothing was over cooked, which hard for a buffet set up to pull off). The only thing I don't like is the cheesey broccoli soup - which is an unnatural color of orange that I remember from my mother's "homemade" mac and cheese, which contained so much Velvetta. Anyway, check this place out.

I was going to give 3 stars, but then I saw they had Duquesne beer...on tap! Wow, I haven't seen…read morebeer like that since, well, since my childhood when I watched my uncles drinking it. Do yourself a favor, and just get a tall cold Duquesne and one of their hamburgers. The burgs are hand packed, the old school way and served with pub chips. It will take you back in time! Oh, and the prices aren't bad either. Just look for the little Duke sitting on top of the beer tap!

A friend and I golfed in Somerset and in returning back to the Pittsburgh area were looking for something to eat. I suggested HillBilly's as I stated previously, has been something I wanted to try. It has a fun vibe with ceramic characters and animals throughout. The entrance included a gift shop with fun Hillbilly merch, the bottom floor that was more of a standard dining area, the second floor includes a bar and a decent stage area, as well as a decent deck/outside patio area. When we visited karaoke was going on. We ordered drinks and as for food, my friend ordered the pot roast, which he really liked. I got the meatloaf sandwich, which I liked as well. It was meatloaf smothered with pimento between two slices of Texas toast Service was fine. They were busy and it was loud, but we were well taken care of.

Salad...not very good and again...the dressings looked like they had been reused for several days. And hey...guess what...your customers don't want Texas Toast for every item that they order...you don't get offered an alternative. I got the club sandwich, and it was a single level sandwich served on Texas Toast. If I want a greasy bread sandwich, I'll ask for it. Don't get me wrong...I like Texas Toast, but this was waaaaay overdone. Overall, it was barely okay. Service was decent...the couple sitting next to us...hey...cover your mouths when you are sneezing loud enough to shake our table...and when your child drops its food on the floor...no...it is not okay to pick it up and put it back on its plate...or maybe I'm wrong...you may have been working on boosting lil Bubba's immune system... Meemaw (the hostess) was pleasant enough.

Very friendly calm restaurant, they do achieve a calm ambience with a slightly smaller parking lot but that's not an issue. They deserve a bigger parking lot and more customers but either way, they're doing it right here. I got the "fiesta" which was a fried tortilla bowl containing mixed greens, pico de gallo, avocado, corn salsa, cheese, grilled chicken and homemade ranch for $16. Very worth it. While I eat small portions, a normal person should expect to be satisfied with this amount of food. It was everything I wanted in a salad. The waitress was very friendly and polite. It had good reviews on Yelp, so I decided to give it a go. And I'm glad I did. Everything was excellent. The outdoor seating was nice, the workers were friendly, my waitress Jae was very attentive, and most importantly, the fish sandwich was top notch. It certainly seemed to be freshly made and not frozen. I ordered fries on the side in addition to Cole slaw. The slaw was nice and creamy. While I generally don't like battered fries, these were pretty tasty. The only slight negative was the cost. At almost $30 for my sandwich plus a beer, it seemed a little pricey to me. But sometimes you have to pay for quality. I will return.

When you walk in, the main entrance is where you do the tastings at. I walked around and didn't see anything at first. However Dave greeted us. He was super friendly. It was nice to learn the location in Mt. Pleasant is where it all started at. That place is not the best brewery area to hang out at. However if you're going for beer it's a good choice. All of the beers were good. My favorite was Idle Hands. A double IPA, I'm not an IPA guy but two of the breweries I've visited have been my favorites. We ended up walking away with 2 cases of beer. That's a first for us. I paid $85 for two cases. That's a first for me as well.

Have been here a couple times before, and visited the Pittsburgh location, so understood the quality of the beer - good selection and most beers are medium/high ranked. Price is pretty fair, given the location. My only concern about the visit was that there was a small outdoor tent/booth selling the same beer for an additional $4 per cup, which is extreme for the area and kind of confusing. You can walk to the interior behind the stage and get the same (as well as more variety) beer for $4-5 less? Unsure whether the lady charged me more than intended but it seemed like a gouge. Be aware of that....it was kind of a bummer.
