    Toffee Butter Cake
    Ana P.

Dinner was delicious, there was so much to see (even the bathroom decor was on theme), and service was great! We orders the pot roast loaded fries and they were amazing. The fries are lightly battered so they remained crispy even when smothered in the thick gravy and. I also enjoyed the beef cheesesteak, but I wish it was cheesier as it was shown. The steak was very tender and the bread held its own. I added a side of Gouda mashed potatoes and they were a delicious option. The Toffee Butter cake was sweet and decadent. We ordered it in a to-go container because we're very full. The chicken tenders were crispy and also seemed to be double-fried. There were up charges added to our meal. Some were expected (like $2 charge for swapping the side for Mac and Cheese over the standard potato chips for the Cheesesteak) and others were not ($1.50 for an extra side of sauce). Downstairs, the restaurant was quiet, but upstairs, the pub was much more lively.

We have driven past this on the PA turnpike many times. We had the opportunity to stop and check it out. Wow! Fun decor, there was live music upstairs in there bar & people going downstairs to the taproom as well. We stopped for a quick bite before we got back on the road. Food, Beer & service were all wonderful. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner - have an fun drink menu as well and a good selection of . My husband had the Holy Moly burger & I had the Hawg wild. Abby our server was helpful in choosing our sandwiches & highly recommended the house chips! Both sandwiches were packed with flavor. If you are driving down the PA turnpike & see a sign for HillBilly's Grub & Pub or just driving through Donegal go check them out! Good food & Beer at a very reasonable price.

Our first visit to HillBilly's was very good. I loved the decor, and our service was great. We also found the place to be very clean! I was impressed. For appetizers, we tried the Corn Cob Ribs and the Fried Green Tomatoes. Both were very good, but we were shocked by the price and what we got for the Corn Ribs, especially. They were good, but for that cost vs. what we got (three VERY small pieces of corn??)...never again. See pic. For dinners: The Chicken and Biscuits (wife said biscuits were great), and Stuffed Chicken Breast meal (came out luke-warm, but was good). Both, EXCELLENT. Kids tried Hillbilly Cheesesteak, Flew da' Coup, and a Grilled Cheese with their Tomato Soup. They said they were good, but they didn't care for the soup. It was more of a Tomato Bisque, so it was just a preference thing. We definitely want to go back and try something else, as well as make it their for their breakfast buffet they have on the weekends.

Great friendly service and quick. I had the meatloaf with potatoes and fresh Greenbeans my friend had the chicken pot pie over rolls both meals were outstanding. Best meatloaf I ever had we finished with a berry pie for dessert but couldn't finish it all because the port were huge. We will be back again just not today because we're still full from ladt night. Lol Amanda the server and bartender kept everyone fed and watered. She's amazing.

I'm on my way Charlottesville Virginia to see my daughter. So my wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat. Being a Hillbilly I felt right at home. The decor is great I added a photo. I had a great burger and crispy french fries. My wife had the chili in the side salad. She said she liked them both. The service was good and I heard some country songs I've never heard before. This would be a great place to come and get liquored up on a weekend and get in a fight in the parking lot. Stop and you'll enjoy it

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this place deserves a serious reality check. Let's start with the drinks -- I ordered a small draft cider, literally less than half a glass, maybe a sip or two. Guess what? They charged me $2 just for the taste, and a half glass is $12. That's insane. (All the $ on a check it was a sample sip! ) when it's a self serve I guess IAM THE ONEWHO DESERVE THE TIP!! Are you kidding me? What's for to pay tip the bartender for the drinks I poured by me self ??!? Then came the burger. No one asked how we'd like it cooked -- not medium-rare, not well-done -- nothing. It arrived dry, bland, and honestly inedible. Both of us took one bite and stopped. When I politely told the waitress it was awful and asked if they could either replace it or take it off the bill, she just shrugged and said, "We don't do that. Not our problem if you didn't like it." Excuse me? In all my dining experiences, I've never seen such an attitude. The waitress disappeared half the time, the food was below bar quality, and the prices are straight-up robbery. If you value your money, your taste buds, or even basic respect -- avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of good spots around where they actually care about customers and know how to cook a burger.

I ordered on line and we picked up our food. Easy process except I don't know why they have a section for special comments/notes if they don't read them! I requested no croutons in my Caesar Salad. It was loaded with croutons. We asked for no bun on the Hog Wild pulled pork sandwich unless it was gluten free. We got a bun but not sure if it was gluten free or not. When I picked up the food I asked for utensils and was basically ignored. Food was fine but service and food prep was not HillBilly Johnny on the spot

    Fall seasonal menu

Went today for lunch after the seven spring fall fest. Got there around 1:30 and sat upstairs area. We had the option to sit outside but was too hot so we sat inside. We were greeted right away and got our drink orders in. I got a pumpkin spice espresso martini and a pumpkin pie White Russian and they were amazing. My fiancé did the beer wall. We got the hillbilly fries which were delicious. We both got some burgers and enjoyed them. Everything was great and it started getting very busy by the time we left. The only issue with the place that I experienced is there weren't any prices on the seasonal cocktail menu. They both ended up $15 each which I feel is a little bit pricer. If i saw the price i probably would've only gotten one seasonal cocktail.

What has changed for the worse? Arrived to HillBilly's a few minutes before 5:00pm. We were seated quickly and our server arrived soon after seated for our drink order. After delivering our drinks, we ordered appetizers, chili and tater soup. Portions were big for a cup. Both soups were good. Soon our entrees were delivered. Git-R-Done burger with chips and Caesar salad with grilled chicken. When I ordered my burger, our server never asked how I wanted the burger prepared. I thought that was strange but, should have said something. Soon our entrees arrived. Both the burger and Caesar salad with chicken looked good. Unfortunately, the burger was overdone. Very brown and because of overdone it was dry. The most disappointing was the Caesar salad. Throughout the entire salad, much of the lettuce was brown and very wilted. Most of the brown and wilted lettuce was under the top layer of chicken. We were trying to make our date dinner pleasurable and not wanting to complain however, after comparing notes, we decided a trip to Red Robin would have given us a much better burger and as for the salad hiding brown and wilted lettuce, we can't think of when this has ever happened to us. I mean, if you have this problem, don't hide it under the chicken. Just mention some excuse and we'd choose a different entree. We've eaten here before with much better results. So, what has happened? Poor prep? Poor what? Diner beware.

This restaurant was on our way home from a long holiday weekend. We had intended to stop by and try it out for a while now, and I must say it did not disappoint. The menu was extensive and I was having a hard time deciding what to order. In the end we had an app of fried green tomatoes and my girlfriend and I each ordered a different burger. Both were excellent. Service was attentive and quick and very friendly. And the decor was incredible to take in adding to the overall atmosphere and theme of a hillbilly restaurant. I particularly enjoyed how the drinks were served in mason jars. I can't wait to make a return trip to try other parts of the menu.

Stumbled into HillBillys and was so pleasantly surprised! The service was so nice and it was a cabin vibe inside. Their moonshine drinks were so strong and sweet and lived up to the moonshine. Their house fries were fantastic and the best thing I ate. Would highly recommend those! I ordered wings and they were alright, the sauces were fun and yummy, but just hoped for a crispier wing.

I was excited to try this place but was sort of underwhelmed after trying it out. The restaurant itself is super cool with lots of fun decorations and photo opportunities. We were greeted a few minutes after standing at the host station by a man who was complaining about how many 'electronic devices' that he had to deal with while working. The guests who arrived after us were seated before us which was kind of odd. At any rate we only had to wait 5 minutes or so to be seated. Our waitress was nice enough but made sure to mention how busy that she was. Understandable, but not really something that you mention to your guests. We were sat at a table that I liked to compare to a highway because of all the employees flying by and nearly clipping you as they did so. One of them used the back of my chair as leverage and did not say a word to me after doing so. Also overheard a waitress complaining about "ladies being rude to her that she didn't even wait on" Maybe we just caught them on an off day? I ordered the cream chicken over biscuits for my entree. The portions were huge but lacking flavor. I would consider trying this place again but would hope for a better experience next time.

Was looking for Breakfast after a wedding at 7 springs. Planned on hillbilly's for the menu but once saw the buffet, knew what we wanted. One of best breakfast buffets I've been to. Bacon possibly best on any buffet or restaurant I've been to. Everything was top notch. Omelette bar was simple yet perfect. All fresh stuff and the bacon was crispy and perfect! My other fave thing was the grits. Perfectly made. Don't think you can go wrong with a place like this. Clean place and great staff. Meemaw our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Def will be back!

The only thing I don't like is the cheesey broccoli soup - which is an unnatural color of orange that I remember from my mother's "homemade" mac and cheese, which contained so much Velvetta.
