I wish I could give Pine Grill more than 5 stars. I initially reached out to pine grill to plan a…read morefuneral dinner. Mark, the owner, communicated with me directly and was EXCEPTIONALLY flexible when additional guests joined us last minute. The food was fabulous - we were there for pasta night and the pasta choices were all great. Gotta recommend the perogies as well, a pennsylvania classic. I also gotta say - if you're a vegan, this place will be hard for you possibly (but i think the grain bowl or beyond burger will work!). Vegetarians will be happy, as the vegetarian options are great! If you're looking for a nice spot for a comfortable meal, this is your spot!

They always say, "eat where the locals eat." And I've found that to often be true. Pine Grill was…read morepacked locals.... And....it was okay. The salads were ice cold, good start. Unfortunately the salmon was a bit overcooked and dry. And my Blue cheese pasta with beef tips was overwhelmingly salty and a tad extreme and the beef a bit chewy. They were out of pumpkin!! The cheesecake was standard fare frozen NY cheesecake: good enough. Most impressively the staff in this place either love their jobs or are under extreme duress because we were exhausted watching the exemplary service. The interior is awesome, all decked out in 50s pine, beautiful wood lighting diverted and old school French doors; beautiful. Overall just okay.

We had reservations at the Crystal Room on a Sunday night. This is upscale dining at its best. The…read moreservice was stellar and so was the food. The room itself is lovely. Hundreds of old photographs lining the walls. They were portraits and most were dated in the late 1890's. Interesting mix of people, clothing and expressions. So the food....my husband's filet was so tender and perfectly cooked. My homemade raviolis were delicious in a creamy sauce with prosciutto and spinach. Excellent salad, salad and dessert course too. And a wonderful dirty martini!

My mom talked about this property for years. She lived in Pennsylvania and attended a wedding and…read moreshe was always convinced I'd love it here. I was living in California and every time I'd get back to the east coast, she'd suggest going here. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a visit here together after she suddenly passed from an aggressive cancer. It became my goal to come here and visit with her on my mind. Years later, I moved back to the east coast and booked a random weekend just for fun. I'm married now with kids so we made the drive here to experience all that the Omni had to offer. I've stayed at other Omni resorts and I wavered on what this place would land on ratings wise. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history that I loved learning about. My kids absolutely loved the indoor pool. It is as gorgeous as the photos look. It's a nice spot, especially when it's a chilly Pennsylvania day like when we visited. With that said, there isn't a ton to do here with kids. It was the perfect amount of time for us, but met other families who were struggling to keep their own kids occupied. There are some really nice trails around the property, which are perfect. And you can also check out some free toys and games from one of the shops inside. That said, if you don't have great weather, options can be limited. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa, but the space looks amazing from what I saw online. The rooms were spacious and well set up for a family. We ate at a few of the restaurants on site. Service was mostly on point though the tavern was really off. Our server was perfectly friendly but pretty much messed up the entire order. I would go back but not sure I'd be eager to rush back anytime soon. We did enjoy the experience but I think a few bumps could be worked out such as helping with our luggage upon arrival. We were able to valet but couldn't find anyone to help us with the bags and the rolling carts don't easily go over the front door to get inside. Between me and my partner, we were able to make it work. But it's those small details that make a property really stand out.
