Honestly, not sure how to rate this one. First off, Rodney's is probably 80% bar and 20% restaurant. If I had to sit inside, I would not come here. The inside is basically a poorly lit bar with a few tables. The outside, however, is a different story. They have a very nice patio area, which is where I chose to sit this evening. I was surprised that the restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday night at 6:00. The waitress informed me that things don't get hopping here until after 9:00, when they have live music or a DJ. Again, this is mostly a bar. Onto the food. I had their messed up taters and their caprese BLT. Let's do the bad first. The BLT was a poor attempt. It was mostly lettuce with some sort of balsamic sauce. I could swear I also tasted mustard for some reason. Very little bacon. I think there was supposed to be mozzarella on the sandwich but I couldn't find any. Two stars. I would stay away from that one. Now for the positive - the loaded taters were absolutely delicious. Lots of cheese, both cheese sauce and shredded. Plus a nice helping of bacon. Can't believe I ate the whole thing myself. Here's why I'm giving this 4 stars - the whole meal cost around $15. You can barely get a fast food meal for $15 and this was way better. My Blue Moon drafts were only $5. I will come here again on a nice summer evening, enjoy their patio, get the taters and try something different for my meal. read more

Had a dive bar feel when you walk in, but staff is very friendly and food was surprisingly good. Patio area looks awesome in the summer.

Locals bar, NOT a pizza place. But the servers were all very nice and it's open late which is hard to find in the area.

We ordered The Cuban sandwich and Chicken cordon bleu both with a side of house made chips. The food was great as was the service. We were traveling from Michigan to VA and this stop was well worth the 5 minutes off of Route 76. I would definitely go back again and I highly recommend. read more

I have wanted to try this place for quite a while and finally got the chance over Labor Day weekend. We had a couple of friends in town and we all love discovering local pubs and we're excited to finally try. First experience, almost getting mowed down by two idiots flying down the street in their ramped up imports. There is a nasty blind spot as you try to cross the road from the parking lot and luckily their cars sounded like wind up toys so we were able to jump out of the way before we saw them fly around the bend. Inside, there was a nice Sunday lunch crowd and we went up to order drinks. No wine....but the bartender did offer a seltzer drink. Opted for a shot of fireball instead. Then ordered a couple of vodka tonics, not a usual vodka drinker but didn't want a beer. Either she didn't put any vodka in it, or they water down their drinks. We asked for an extra shot and it STILL didn't taste like it had any vodka. One and done...not worth the price or the attitude of the bartender. Two stars are for the band that was playing out back! They were very good and very entertaining. The guys enjoyed a couple of beers and we enjoyed the music. A couple of locals that knew the band members seemed irritated that we took up space, and nearly knocked us over to grab our table as we stood up to leave. Rude. Like I said, we love finding local bars and are usually welcomed with happy faces, spend money, chat with the locals. Rodney's Corner is obviously content serving to the local population, and the natives don't like outsiders in their space. read more

We drove between Fallingwater Polymath Park and my preggo wifey needed some food. Checked Yelp and Rodney's Corner came up with plenty of options. We ordered drinks while The Notebook played on the bar TV. Locals made us feel welcome and the bar staff was super friendly. My wife got a Reuben and I ordered a appetizer sampler. The food was a little slow to come out but there were a bunch of phone orders that came in. The Reuben was pretty good and I really liked the sampler. The beer menu offered a few local brews, Helltown was a really good choice on my part. read more

I've been coming here since before the newest owner took over. He's made the place even better. The food is awesome the patio is big too. I love the cheesy hot wings they're unique and delicious. Bartenders are always nice and it's usually pretty busy. The only downfall is the bar area is small but the patio makes up for it. read more

Came here Friday. It's tucked away on a quiet road. But it's a bar-restaurant so busy and loud. I got a table, the bartender-waitress was fast, efficient and friendly. I ordered the meatloaf platter and a beer. I think the meatloaf was a tad overcooked but otherwise all was delicious and hot. Worth a trip! read more

I have to be honest, the food is pretty good...but when people tell you about the food here...it's definitely exaggerated. It is a bar after all.. I ordered the sweet heat nachos, supposed to be nachos salsa and cheese.. it came out in a plastic container with a handful of broken nachos and a few spoonfuls of cheese...no salsa and the cheese wasn't hot. Another time I got the loaded tots, this time it came as described but the tots were 100% fryer grease. They have too be loaded to covered that taste. The drinks are usually good but the service is rough. They constantly bring the wrong things and can't keep the ordered straight. So the owner has to take over and make it right. I really think some of the staff is the main issue here. Some seem very careless. While the owner runs around trying to make everything as good as possible. The atmosphere is great. The outdoor seating is nice. Inside is a bit small when the crowd rolls in. But they always have good music and there is a pool table. read more

If you want your classic dive bar with a metric shit ton of character, Rodneys Corner is the place for you. Walk inside through a thin fog of marlboro red smoke and immediately get smacked in the face with country charm. Chances are some Merl Haggard will be playing on the juke box and a Pittsburgh team on the TV. Their wings are hands down the best I've ever had. Super crispy and drowned in wing sauce. My personal favorite is sweet and hot. Taco night is titties and their pizza and fries are delectable as well. Coldest beers outside the artic circle and there patio is unbelievable in the summer. Great bands and friendly staff. And if you are looking for something on the lighter side their cobb salad is the perfect option. I cannot recommend this bar enough. Its so nice i brought my girlfriend here for our 7 month aniversary. read more

A rustic country bar off the beaten path, I can not say enough about how nice the owner, the staff, AND the regular patrons were to us. There was music, billiards, and plenty of drink options. Try the mini-beer shots for sure!! We were in town for a wedding and heard about this place from a local. I liked it so much that I brought my family back again the following night.
