Eggs Benedict special with asparagus and Black Forest ham.

Fogglifter has great coffee and breakfast items. I've had the eggs Benedict a couple of times. The first time the eggs were over poached but they made up for it the next time with perfectly poached eggs with a creamy yolk. The hollandaise sauce was seasoned well and just coated the eggs and toppings. Their cappuccinos are made well and not at all watery like so many I've had at other places. Hubby had the McCall scramble with sausage and said it was tasty. Their croissant breakfast sandwich is also delicious and just the right size. You order at the counter and bus your own table if you're dining inside or on the patio. They deliver your order to your table if you're dining in. It can get quite busy inside, especially if people like up inside of the restaurant. I've seen the staff ask people to line up outside to respect the diners who are sitting at the inside tables. I think they should have a sign instructing people to line up outside. It would be so much better for all and help to Improve the ambiance. There's always a line and it's totally worth the wait.

We loved Fogglifter, the food and coffee were the best we've had for breakfast in McCall so far. Very small and homey. The breakfast burrito is big, so order appropriately. Service was very good and quick!

All of the food was amazing. One of my favorite eggs Benedict thus far!! I loved the outdoor seating area, the weather was beautiful and there were puppies everywhere. The servers were all so sweet and adorable. Would recommend!!!

LOVE Fogglifter Cafe! We are morning regulars when we come to town. Cute cafe central to downtown McCall. We come for a quick breakfast and coffee. Our favorite is the eggs benedict - the hollandaise sauce is excellent! They are quick and hospitable. Can't wait for our next visit back!

Fun little corner cafe in downtown. We came on a super busy day but luckily the line went fast, while also finding a table big enough for our group. Food came out quick, and was so refreshing. I had the French toast with fruit and bacon/eggs. I contemplated purchasing another plate because it was so good -- I had to hold myself back! My friends also enjoyed their plates and would come back again. Definitely recommend this place if you're visiting.

Expect a crowd since there aren't a ton of coffee shops in town! A few things rolling in my head that I wish I knew before entering: 1. Yes, you counter order and get a number for your table (if you can find a table). 2. You get your own silverware at a station near the counter. 3. Yes, you bus your own table and put your dishes in the same spot as the silverware location. 4. Yes they have wi-fi (not password protected) but it barely works, if it works at all. It seems to be inconsistent. I was a bit taken back with my $13.00 breakfast burrito showed to my table (pictured). I thought the price for something so simple was on the high side. While it is definitely on the high end for what you get, I was pleasantly surprised. I did the classic judging a book by its cover scenario. Don't judge this book until you read it (or eat it!!). I am not sure I will be back often (because prices and because it gets so busy) but I will make this place my extra special treat from-time-to-time. It is so busy I don't feel like this is a place someone can stay and relax. People watch you eat until you are done (so they can swoop in for your table). Excellent stop for a coffee and a quick bite.

I know, I know...I should have taken a photo before diving in. But this breakfast burrito was the perfect morning meal!

On a rainy Thursday afternoon, we found ourselves with a an hour or so to kill before the shops opened. With empty stomachs we stumbled into Fogglifter and were immediately greeted with smiling faces and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Absolutely delicious coffee and drinks, fluffy eggs, tasty pastries, and more! We had the breakfast burrito and holy heck, YUM! A tasty treat from start to finish. They heated up the sweet pastries too! And kids portions are perfectly sized. Seating is first come and in sunny days they have a lovely outdoor patio. This spot is a "do not miss" if you find yourself in McCall! I already miss this place and would be a regular if I lived here!

The coffee is good but avoid breakfast. Both the huevos rancheros and breakfast burrito were awful. They use canned refried beans and an overwhelming amount of cheese. The corn tortilla underneath was raw as well. Terrible breakfast items. There are several other places in town that do it better.

Scrambled eggs were lousy. Water glasses had white things floating in them. Toasted bread on sandwich came out burned. Bisque was watery. Plating was several steps below rustic on plates that were too small or too large for their contents. Tortilla on burrito was tough and crumbly at the same time. I'm sure other things were wrong and I've already forgotten. Couldn't do iced drinks because they were out of ice. There is a grocery store 2 blocks away that someone could have been sent to get ice from. I'm pretty sure the bland jarred salsa was from there. read more

We stumbled in here reluctantly because Bistro 45 wouldn't serve us breakfast after 11:00 am; it was 11:07 :( I'm glad we found it. We had 3 kids breakfasts, a breakfast burrito, & a bowl of oatmeal. Fabulous start to our morning. Outside in the sunshine planning our day & eating some of the freshest food to power us up for another nonstop day in McCall. There is a reason this place is bustling. The food atmosphere and location are perfect! Moreover, the staff is friendly & accommodating. They made all sorts of substitutions to please our picky children! Homerun!! read more

Such a cute place but what a disappointment! We ordered 5 bagels with cream cheese. They got busy right after we ordered. I went up to check on my order and was told "I'll check on that". Don't think they did, 10 minutes later one bagel is brought out. We asked about the other 4 and the guy said I'll check. Came back and said another customer took them. Not sure that happened because I was watching and no bagels were put out that matched ours. They were for dine in not to go. Said they would remake ours. Still waiting, that was 10 minutes ago. Hope I get them soon as you have to pay when you order. Yeah just brought them out. They look good but I won't be back. read more

Great spot with all the right COVID precautions! Delish coffees, REALLY good eggs benny, a nice outdoor dining area and dog-friendly too. We ate here two mornings during our McCall camping trip. A plus is that you can easily ride your bike here from Ponderosa State Park. read more

This place had some really solid breakfast food. The eggs Benedict are very good. The carrot cake cake muffin was bit dry but tasted great and the blueberry cake donut was delicious. The patio seating is nice, but the ordering and seating setup is a little confusing. Might be better on a less busy day though. Even still, the service was friendly and quick! read more

Hands down our favorite breakfast place in McCall. They have the magic formula down, everything here is so good. We have a standard order (eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros) that is always delicious. Just tried an iced mocha too, fantastic. Only downside is that there isn't a Foglifter in Boise. Otherwise I'd have my favorite breakfast place in Boise too. read more

Well we ate here for three mornings in a row so that definitely means we loved it they've got a great patio a lot of healthy choices it superquick and really good. Friendly people and great selection breakfast menu with several choices of coffee. Seems to be a local hotel spot, but someone will always jump up to give their seat when it's crowded. Say hi to Randolph....the local good guy and Foglifter fixture. read more

Visited McCall about a year ago - man I miss that place! And part of that is the Fogglifter Cafe. I went there EVERY morning and was never disappointed. My lattes were perfect - I should have bought more whole beans before leaving town. But I also loved the eggs benedict and the heuvos rancheros for breakfast! I think I ordered one or the other every day I was there. Again - never disappointed. It has a cool ambiance, cool location and if you get a chance to eat outside in the morning sunshine, your morning will be damn-near perfect! Cheers! read more

Sorry I didn't do this sooner. We went to Mc Call for the winter festival. I stumbled upon this gem while my hubby skied. I had probably the best veggie breakfast burrito ever. I loved being able to just hang there. They have fantastic coffee. I went back and bought a couple of pounds. All of the people working there are fantastic. read more

Recently came through McCall returning from a river trip. Some members of our group suggested this place as a good stop for breakfast in town. I wanted to order something quick so I ordered a slice of banana bread and 2 bagels. Nothing special, which should of taken 5 minutes or less to do. Well, it took at least 30 minutes to toast and spread cream cheese on 2 bagels. I consider this to be an act of poor service and logistics. Bagels are simple to make and shouldn't be placed in line with the prepared breakfast orders like eggs, and waffles. And the bagels were tiny! A better method would be to have toasters available for the customers to toast their own bagel. There's a very popular coffee house in my town (a much bigger lake town then McCall) that does just that and it works perfectly. If yo don't mind waiting around for ages for your food, then give this cafe a try. read more

Nice little place, B.S.T.A. was good, tomato soup was . Tasted like Campbell's Tomato soup mixed with water, no flavor. Price is about what you'd expect for McCall and ambiance was nice. read more

Overpriced for what you get. But if you love cold, watery, powdered eggs, store-bought muffins, frozen hash browns...and then want to wash it down with a tall glass of orange juice reconstituted from concentrate, then this is the place for you! read more

Had a less than satisfying breakfast experience. Eggs and hash browns very boring, but the bacon was top notch. Condiments little plastic bags. The cost far exceeded the product served. Service was friendly and helpful and all were masked! Seemed clean. Probably won't go back. read more

Very nice outdoor seating area with lots of shade. Excellent homemade sandwiches. My daughter ordered the Meghan caprese and said it was the best sandwich she ever had. Would definitely recommend. Wide selection of coffee bar beverages as well. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped to get their coffee and it was the best coffee we had in McCall! I got their white chocolate latte with almond milk and it was heaven. It wasn't too sweet and it tasted so satisfying. My boyfriend got a caramel Cappuccino and he loved it! We both felt after walking around for the winter carnival and after a long day of snowboarding that coffee just hit the spot! read more

I've been coming here for a long time, ever since i was 7 and live in cali, I would have to say this is probably my favorite coffee place i have been to, their coffee is to die for, I have never had to anything to my coffee when i receive it. I just visited an hour ago, and I find it funny that they call it the fogglifter, I was feeling a little down today so I treated myself to some tea and huckleberry danish, and i feel SO much better. the tea is delicious AND beautiful, I'm saving my danish for later :) the atmosphere is very calming during quieter times and the people who work there are extremely nice. Overall i have to say i wish I could replace the starbucks next to my house with the Fogglifter Cafe read more

Yay! Real coffee in McCall. Breakfast goodies and WiFi. This place will get you up and running for the day. Often crowded, but I always seem to find a spot and a newspaper. Orders get filled eventually. The people working here are not exactly helpful. read more

Not the best place for "full" breakfast. 2 scrambled eggs looked like 1 and tasted like powdered eggs at Holiday Inn. English muffin was warm, not toasted and two pieces of bacon tasted like leftovers from two days ago. Nice location, good cappuccino however. Probably fine for just coffee drinks but go someplace else for a real breakfast! read more

My husband and I had breakfast here today and it lived up to the hype! We loved the vibe and the people were really friendly. I had the special - Prosciutto and Asparagus eggs benedict and really enjoyed it. We were lucky it wasn't a busy weekend, I could tell that it wouldn't be enough seating during the winter festival. read more

We were hungry for a sandwich so we stopped in the Foglifter Cafe. Thank goodness we found this place. The turkey panini that I had was fantastic. All the ingredients on our sandwiches were good quality and fresh. I also liked all the different varieties of coffee drinks that were available. Yummy food and great coffee what more can you ask for??? read more

I have never been made to feel more unwelcome or uncomfortable by the patrons or staff of any establishment anywhere else I've been. They will yell at you if you squeeze your beer can before returning it to the bar. I have no idea why. But they'll get so angry they have to leave the room. And the food is awful. I got sloppy joe meat on my tacos. And they clearly don't clean their fryer oil, ever. I don't know where the "Wild" in the name comes from, because a wild time is had by none at this miserable hole, ever. Avoid at all costs.

The service was on top of all the duties, even though they were understaffed. The food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. I had the McCall omelet - which I could only eat half of, so it was leftovers. My son was raving about the Philly cheese sandwich and dirty tots. My daughter had a fried egg, with fruit and toast. My wife had the spinach eggs with hash browns. All wonderful.

The specialty coffees are also consistently good, as is the food! Wonderful eggs benedict! But keep in mind that the price is high given the quality and service. Excellent breakfast! We also ordered lattes, two breakfast sandwiches, a vegetable burrito, and a side of eggs, bacon, and sausage. Food was wonderful, and the coffee was fantastic! We would like to stop by while we are leaving town early in the morning if they were open a little earlier. I couldn't recommend it more! The baristas and staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is inviting and makes you feel right at home. read more

McCall really needed a casual coffee place that served food! Not to mention a place where you can see and be seen! They have a cute lounge with a kid table. I really appreciate the fact that Fogglifter thought of all the little ones! The Fogglifter serves delicious breakfast items (eggs benedict is amazing!) and yummy lunches. The coffee is so good. Our party of 3 had breakfast here on Tuesday 6-3, you order at a counter and they bring your food to you. The young lady working the counter was really pleasant and there is a good selection of items and the 3 of us all got something different. The food was great and I will come back. read more

This is simply the best breakfast I have ever had. Top notch bacon, hash browns and the best country gravy ever! Very friendly staff. I noticed that this is where the locals go to eat and get some coffee and chill. From San Diego to Seattle you will not find a better place. read more
