Love stopping here whenever we come to McCall. Have been here enough times that I decided it deserved a review lol. Highly recommend the coffee, but would skip the burritos. Let me start off by saying that the atmosphere is amazing! I loved sitting inside and just relaxing for a minute on the couch while music played in the background. Coffee shops are my favorite for that. I will also mention that I did not try any of the food, although I hear it is pretty good! I had already had lunch and was looking for a coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up. Now...the coffee. I was actually very disappointed. I hate to call myself it, but I believe it's time to come to terms with my true identity. I am a coffee connoisseur. I was really in the mood for an iced coffee. They only had 1 size available. It was a 20oz. I never can finish a coffee that is more than 12oz and that's all I was really looking for. Their 20oz also came with two shots, which seems to be the average in McCall, but for the price is a complete rip off. The coffee also had a very strange aftertaste that was not pleasant. I am in the coffee industry myself, so I can say that there are many factors as to why my coffee did not taste well. It could have definitely just been my barista. I would have loved to have been offered more than one iced size and would have liked to have seen more shots or lower prices to compensate not having as many shots in the drinks. Also, better educated baristas would be nice. I know it's a small town and the nearest supply house is 150 miles away, but these are simple fixes. read more

Best breakfast in McCall! Eggs Benedict is to DIE for! A busy spot for sure, but worth the wait. Indoor and outdoor seating, you can even call and get your order to go. The bagels are divine, and the biscuits and gravy are the best you will ever have- The sausage gravy melts in your mouth and has a delicious kick of spice on your tongue. Went in for coffee this morning and it was packed! One of the older gals behind the counter yelled rudely at everyone in the store, "I need you to form a line outside!" And then mumbled "holy shit" under her breath loud enough for everyone to hear. Really unprofessional and rude. Lost 8+ peoples service. We won't support a business that talks to customers like that. McCall's best coffee, and the best huevos rancheros breakfast I've had in Idaho. There are lots of things to love about McCall, but the food options can be the exception. Not so at Fogglifter. Exceptional coffee, the only really good huevos rancheros I've had in Idaho, and bagels that constitute our kid's favorite McCall breakfast. Can get crowded on weekend mornings, but they're pretty efficient and quick. read more

Went to this little place on recommendation, mistake! The menu is very limited and when you ask for something else they act as if you asked for their first born child! Then I had the audacity to ask that our server have the people lining up to order to move to in front of the cash register instead of through the tables. He looked at me with a straight face and said "I won't do that this a free country" while I waited for him to smile he just walked away. If he hadn't just delivered my food I would have asked for a refund and walked out. While the food was good, the fact that white supremacy is alive and well in McCall is a reason to not go back! Cute little café nestled on a corner in McCall. They offer some slightly eclectic (but good) breakfast choices as well as sandwiches and bakery items. I ordered the eggs benedict with spinach, tomato and avocado, instead of the ham, and loved it. There are three different versions available. I also enjoyed a perfectly cooked side of hashbrowns! They were the stringy kind but when cooked so that the top is golden brown and crunchy and the underneath is soft...YUM! My friend enjoyed herself the juevos rancheros with extra salsa verde! She loved it! If I have the pleasure of visiting McCall again I am sure I will enjoy breakfast here again. read more

A really nice coffee house. Big windows make this a very light place, or sit outside when the weather is right. Their poached egg and ham sandwich is great and only $3.50. One of the best things about Fogglifter is the fact that they get assorted pastries and cookies from the best bakery west of the Mississippi, Flight of Fancy in Donnelly. This convenience is most welcomed. Wi Fi, good coffee, good food, toys for the little ones. I look forward to visiting this great new cafe every time I am in town. read more

There aren't a ton of brunch options in McCall so we ended up here twice during our recent trip. First meal was great...second was okay. I love that they do 1/2 or full portions of some items. The first meal I did a 1/2 order of the huevos rancheros which were great. The second time we ate there I did a 1/2 order of the eggs benedict (tomato and spinach) and they weren't stellar...was kicking myself for not going with the breakfast burrito. This place is BUSY since there aren't tons of options in town so don't expect your food to come out lightening fast. I don't drink coffee but my husband didn't have any complaints with his and being a Seattle native he does tend to be picky about all things coffee. This place is cute and had been around for a busy minute. We have enjoyed the food for years although over the food quality has been going down. My last meal was $20 for a mini burrito and a breakfast sandwich that looking like a $2 gas station frozen deal. I feel sorry for all the very young girls busting their behinds with little customer service training. I'd say it's a typical tourist joint. I spent my childhood summers in McCall and was thrilled to discover this little breakfast/lunch spot with our children last summer. Because our little ones rose so much earlier than others, we would head down to the Fogglifter Café for breakfast almost every morning -- and it was absolutely delicious and memorable for us all (incl our 4 yo and 7 yo), and plan to have our breakfasts here again this summer. Lovely, quaint ambiance with an upbeat vibe. You truly can't beat the menu, fresh food, coffee/ espresso drinks! Kid-friendly is a huge plus, and wait-time is minimal despite how busy it gets. My husband and I wanted to grab coffee and breakfast on our way out of town. We stopped here based on the reviews but it was not what we expected. Walking in is like any other coffee shop with a counter and dining room type area. We ordered our lattes and our food at the counter (not restaurant like at all). I had the black bean huevos rancheros and my husband had the denver scramble. My dish was delicious, the green salsa tasted fresh and homemade and the eggs were poached correctly. My husband's hashbrowns were dry and stringly but the scramble was good. Our lattes were very good as well. Pretty quick service as well. No wait staff, just people who bring your food and then bus your table but you will have to grab your silverware, napkins and sauces and find an open bench area to sit.
