I drive through Payette frequently and purposefully stop here. I guess I was disappointed today because usually it is so good! Today I wanted a breakfast burrito but they had no sausage for the burrito. The clerk mumbled what they did have and I said ok. I could tell the clerk really did not want to talk to me. My disappointment was that he did not speak clearly nor show me a menu that could describe it. And the coffee I requested, a 12 oz shot in the dark, was lukewarm and I did not find that out until I started back on the road. I had another 2 hours to drive. Note to self, taste the coffee before one departs. I will go back there again because it is usually so good and no need to be majorly assertive.....now I know. read more

Love this place. Consistently good coffee and tons of choices. The pastries are also amazing, and I love how unique the flavors are. They also make the most delicious garlic aioli on their breakfast sandwiches and I need to bribe someone to give me the recipe. One of the other big pluses is their outdoor play area. This place is seriously a gem. On our way to north, we stopped by Agape, a local cafe for a quick coffee. Agape has an artsy feel to it. There is outdoor seating, with some play area for kids. It wasn't much busy since it was mid-afternoon. There is ample of seating (some with sofa, tables etc.) It is decorated with some art pieces. If I was living in this town, it would have become a favorite spot. The baristas was super nice and friendly - we even had a great conversation. We ordered Carmel Marble and Honey over Ice, both were made perfect. I especially loved Honey Over Ice, never had anything like it before. A nice cafe to come with your kids, have morning coffee before work, or come here to read. Would definitely love to come back. read more

Locals sell knick knacks such as crafts they have made like handmade soap,coffee mugs, coffee beans from specialty store, and paintings. Youth groups and church groups hold meetings there. But usually it's quiet. There's a play area out front and the outside is hand painted in their own unique design. They are all about love. First off five stars are nearly impossible for me to give but wowzers just doesn't cover the amazingness of this coffee and chai. I asked for a bone dry cappuccino and I felt like I was lifting an empty coffee cup which is how it's suppose to be. The roast on the beans is amazing the espresso is really well balanced and is by far better than most shops I've had in Portland. Now let's get to this raspberry chai; mind blowing is what comes to mind when I think of my first sip. The raspberry which u would think would be overpowering was just the right amount and the house made chai is nice and spicy. I just moved to this area from Portland and am so glad I found this place! It feels like a little piece of home in every way. The shopowners are sweet and care deeply about the quality of their drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy; there are plenty of couches and tables for people to sit and work or chat. Even if I could compare it to the hundreds of fancy coffeeshops in Portland (though, honestly, Agape fares better), it still carries with it the spirit of Payette -- with handmade soaps, jewelry, and honey produced by local residents, I can tell the folks at Agape are proud of their home. I love going to Agape - they spoil me there! I only go every couple of weeks and yet they know my order right down to the color of straw I prefer! It's not like they aren't quite busy, too, yet they are so caring that they work to please and to remember. I go there with my friend and she usually has to work while we have coffee so she really needs the wifi and I appreciate it because she is a techie so if I have any questions or need help with something she can see the problem and usually fix it right there since we can easily go online. We have been to several coffee shops over the years and Agape has the least trouble with their wifi of anyplace we have tried. We love to browse through the local crafts and art and food for sale at Agape. Now they are going to be hosting a farmer's market on Tuesday nights this summer so I plan to head to Agape with or without my techie friend. I got some great plants this spring when they had a local nursery selling garden starts. And one of these days I will have to get myself over there for Open Mic Night just to see what they get up to. read more

I can say with all honestly Agape Coffee House the BEST Mexican Mocha from Los Angeles to Boston and Seattle to Orlando. The baristas are all very nice and make consistent beverages.
