For quality customer service, do NOT go to Focal Point Optical in Eugene. The frames they fit me for initially were painful, even after months of trying various adjustments. They finally said I should switch to a style with nose pads. After I tried on several, they said there was only one frame that would work, so of course I got that. Weeks went by while a lens kept falling out; they eventually glued the screw in. It fell out again. Finally they agreed to order me a new frame but it had to be the same model (I did not trust this model anymore, but they refused to let me get something else). Weeks later it arrives from France. After about a month of wearing it, a lens also fell out. By now nearly two years had gone by and I gave up trying to get Focal Point to properly fit me. I asked for a refund of my portion of the cost; they could keep the insurance payment. They refused. Any other optical shop in Eugene warranties their products for two years. Focal Point does not. They stubbornly refused to budge both on the product and on a refund option. Putting profit over customer concerns is poor business. read more

I just picked up my glasses and they are perfect! There is a great selection of a variety of really nice frames. Customer service was excellent. They took the time to answer all my questions and tell me about my glasses (progressive). Very happy with choosing them! read more

Horrible, uncaring customer service. Staff could care less about you. Glasses are beyond bad. I can't wear them and they don't care. I've got a $1600 pair of glasses I can't wear. The guy there told me to deal with it. DO NOT go here. I should have read the other reviews and gone elsewhere because I can't afford another pair. read more

Two exams and two pairs of lenses and I still dont have glasses that work. They dont seem to help you with a solution. The optical and the drs side have a huge disconnect between the two. What a waste of my time and money read more

They are Covid safe. Decent customer service but cheaply made overpriced frames. Family member gave them a second try after a bad experience a few years back when they were having personnel problems. Where do I start? If you want to buy over priced glasses, deal with horrible customer service, have no communication after purchasing glasses and wait weeks beyond weeks before they realize they never actually ordered your glasses, then once they finally come in have the prescription wrong... you've found your store! I left voice mail after voice mail and never got a call back. I don't think they actually listen to their voice mail. Update: reached the Florence Focal Point and was told my glasses hadn't arrived and Eugene had not sent them yet. When I told her I wanted her name, her supervisors name, and up the chain of command, I was again told, I'm new here and I don't have that information have a nice day and she hung up. I tried the Eugene number again and surprise, someone answered the phone. She seemed to know what was going on and said all the glasses that had been sent to Eugene by mistake and been sent to Florence. She told me she was going to check tracking information and get back with me. let's hope! Went into Focal Point Florence on May 27th. Was told my glasses should be back with 10 business days, not counting weekends or Holidays. ok, that's pretty much normal. Called on June 21 (no problem getting anyone to answer the phone) to see what the status was. I was told pending plus I owed more Money. When I questioned The optician as to why I owed more money she said it was for enhancements. (I have $0.00 charge for enhancements). I tried calling 4 different days after the June 21 call and had to leave voicemail; no one ever returned my calls. On June 28th I called again and had to leave a voicemail. After 3 hours and no return call I went down to the shop. There was no one in the shop at all and there were three women sitting behind the counter just kicked back chatting. When I told the optician who I was and why I was there she started checking on things. When I reminded her she had told me I owed more money she said no you have a zero balance. Then she preceded to try and track down my glasses and said she would call me later with and update. Everything things was I'm new, my supervisor is on vacation, I can't get anyone in Eugene to answer the phone. At 5:15 that afternoon I received a call stating my glasses had been sent to the Eugene office and they would UPS them to Florence. On July 1, unable to reach anyone at the Florence office or the Eugene office (the Eugene office you can't even leave a voicemail) I drove over to the shop, once again. I was told the Eugene office had not mailed them but I could drive to Eugene to pick them up. I told her NO, either someone from the Eugene office could drive them over or she could go pick them up. I told her this was absolutely unacceptable and I wanted my glasses by July 2nd. I have never been so discussed with the lack of concern for patient/customer service. The owner on a previous comment replied stating to call him at the Eugene number. Well, that would be fine and dandy if someone would pick up the phone or you had the option to leave a voice mail. THIS IS THE WORST place I have ever gotten glasses from in my 40 years of getting glasses. THIS IS JUST SO UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! read more

I agree with what most of the other reviews said. Girl who first measured me for my progressive lens took no time doing it and as a result got the progression wrong. I complained. Went back in and a man readjusted how the frames fit. I tried them again. I could see distance OK but again because of the progression, I could neither watch TV or work on my laptop or read a book. I went to a different optical provider associated with my ophthalmologist. She remeasured the progression, called Focal Point for me and got them to agree to redo the lenses. She called me and told me she had done so. That was just after Christmas and I have not yet heard back from Focal Point. I paid over $550 for these glasses. When I first bought the glasses, I didn't want to pay for their $700 package and opted instead for the $500+ package. The girl gave me only one choice for a frame. It does not even fit my face very well. I will never deal with Focal Point again. I'm going back to my "cheap" one day service business that I have purchased from in the past. With them, even though they had to send my prescription to their main optical office because my prescription requires a feature they don't do in their satellite offices, I still got my glasses in a week. I got to choose from a variety of frames and I was able to get there top of the line lenses for just slightly more than what I paid Focal Point for their bottom of the line lenses. read more

I would definitely not use these folks again. I presume their professional knowledge is OK but the prices are exorbitant. Example - new glasses for my wife at Focal Point - $1000.00. Same glasses at Costco - $350.00!! Too bad we didn't check Costco before buying at Focal Pont. read more

The staff, with one bright exception, was rude and acted as if helping me spend $550 at their place was beneath them. I was rushed in and out, and when my glasses were delayed by a week because of a manufacturing error no one called to let me know or apologized when I finally called them to find out about the delay. I'm not one to go online and write negative reviews, but I've never had a professional establishment treat me so poorly. One staff member actually smiled at me and talked to me like a person--the rest all treated me as if I were in their way. read more
