Ordering online was easy, unfortunately some items didn't fit and we needed to exchange them. The worker who helped is find the new sizes was nice. The whole process was slow...and during checkout there was a HUGE misunderstanding about what was being "credited" vs. "refunded." The worker was very calm throughout the process, but I was not. It was the most frustrating experience of my life. And I'm serious. Everything worked out in the end, but the only reason I will ever shop here again is because we HAVE to for my kids school. They are most expensive than other uniform brands, but they supposedly hold up better. So fingers crossed! Here are my tips for working with Flynn O'Hara: -take your kid and have them try on items so you buy what fits. Don't go based on their size at other stores -don't go when it's busy -if you're returning/exchanging be VERY CLEAR about what you're returning and bring it up right away and mention it often. I'm very dissatisfied with the service I received from this company. I'm from Rhode Island and went to Donnelly's for years without any issues. My daughter's new school uses Flynn O'Hara. She was sized over Zoom, and when everything was sent to us, the shirts were extremely big she is practically swimming in them. I called the customer service number, and I'm now told I have to ship them back to get a refund and not an exchange and lose out on the sale prices. It's really unfair and unfortunate, I wish I did not have to deal with this company at all and could take my money elsewhere. read more

Why in the world is there only two cashier's during busy back to school season ?? Waiting in line for 40 min just to be helped then waiting 1 hr 30 min just to BUY the products ? This is honestly torture and a waste of time. I should be compensated for my time lost. Even pick up orders have to wait to be helped. With all this traffic you're getting it seems like you could afford more help. Do better. read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service my daughters and I received today, and this is not the first time. For starters, I ordered a blazer online that was to be monogrammed and shipped to me, but when I received it, the monogram was paper clipped to the blazer. I called to inquire and was told to bring in to be properly monogrammed. I bought it about 6 months ago and brought it in today. I was not given a timeline of when I had to get the product that they sent me incomplete. I was quite surprised when I I was told by a very rude lady at the front register, who barely left her seat, that they don't do that there. She told me that since I bought it at the store I would have to take it to have it done elsewhere and that they had no way to do that at the store. It was only done at their warehouse. What? I ordered it online from the warehouse. ... So now I have to pay someone to sew this on, and take time out of my day, when I already paid $100 for this jacket, and I have bought several. This is the first to be delivered without the monogram. Disappointing To the young man who appeared to be new on the job, and was trying his. best. That same rude lady sat in her chair at the register, and as I was checking out, she would yell over the counter to the young man at the greeting table, "Nope! That's not right! Mind you, this poor guy was working with a customer at the time. Her negative comments to this young employee continued. I felt badly for the him. Heaven forbid she get out of her chair and walk over to the young guy and help him. No.She seemed to prefer to embarrass and degrade him..Guess that made her feel better about herself. I couldn't wait to get out of there. As I walked to the car with my daughters, they commented on how the people working there were all having some conversation they deemed not nice, and while they were working. I am not sure who is in charge of this particular location, but there were more employees than customers, and yet service wasn't great. It seemed that the lady working with us, although seemingly nice, was completely unknowledgeable when it came to sizes, boys or girls, and just overall how to help us. read more

I was there yesterday with two super energetic kids under age of 8. From the moment I walked in the ladies helped me immediately and had the school list for my sons school. They offered to size him even if I didn't order anything. They had shoes, socks and everything else you could think of. I ordered what I needed and walked out ready for the first day of school. I don't understand how people are complaining about this store. The cashiers were efficient and the guys in the back were ready to re-stock anything I didn't need. They have book bags, lunch boxes and I even heard someone getting help in Spanish. I came during the busiest season 2 weeks before the school year starts and was impressed. Give them a chance they are ready to earn your money. Good luck moms and daddies! read more

It was young people working there but they were friendly and helpful. It's clear they are well versed in what the needs of the school are and how the outfits must fit. It's very expensive and I only had to special order two items. After reading the other review I realize I don't know if they are mailing them or do I need to pick it up. The fabric is seems terribly stuff though. Hopefully washing and lots of fabric softer helps!! The store is very clean with good dressing rooms. The return policy seems fair. I am a newbie to the private school uniforms but can see where in the future I will be more savvy on what I actually have to buy here versus other outlets... read more

So I had to shop here on the worst time of the year because I thought I'd wait to see what used items I could pick up at the school's used uniform sale. Big mistake. I work during the week and kiddo doesn't live with me, so it was Saturday in August. Oh god the crowds. But the good news they had lots of staffers. Appeared to be high school students but they knew the stock and had access to the school's list. I did too but I found it to be confusing, so they helped me sort thru it. I'd say the only mistake was buying the Flynn-recommended Peter Pan collar. It turned out that nobody at the school was wearing them. The problem was the school's list differed from Flynn and O'Hara's list. It was okay because polo shirts were worn the first couple of months and by that time, we figured out the correct collar. As we hadn't ever removed the shirts from their packaging, they exchanged them easily for the right ones, even though it was at least 60 days from original purchase. Of course it's expensive but this isn't Walmart. It looks as if the students get several years wear from the skirts and shorts, so not so bad. Parking is easy but it's in a neighborhood that has lots of traffic on the weekends. Fortunately, there is a rather nice Argentinian restaurant serving adult beverages to enjoy after the shopping ordeal. read more

How is it there's like a million people working here and the service is so slow? there has to be a better way to flow the customers, so expect an hour wait. It wouldn't be so bad if the we had a place to sit. they only have two chairs! geez.... the quality of the uniforms is exceptional but the flow and wait is a huge pain. read more

Worst customer experience we ever had... Don't know why our school works with these guys?!?

Flynn & O'hara is the only place that carries my daughter's school uniform, so I can't refuse to shop there. The website works well. The person with whom I spoke at the 800 number was pleasant. But this branch of the chain is mostly horrible. I recently ordered a uniform via the 800 number because they only had 3 jumpers left for my daughter's school in the store and none of them fit. Since I didn't want to pay the $10+ shipping fee, the warehouse shipped it for me to pick up at the store and said I would receive a call in 7 to 10 business days to come pick it up. I never got a call. I tried calling, but only got disconnected several times. When I walked into the store there were two employees chatting at the cash register. They never even looked up. I said hello and told them I'd been trying to call; they responded that the system was down and went back to their conversation. Oh, how I hated to interrupt them! Such a scintillating conversation about what they were planning to do that night, who was doing what with whom, etc. I explained my situation and they pointed to a different register. I re-explained my situation to the guy *ten feet* away at the second counter. He dutifully climbed a ladder and got the jumper. I started to ask him why I hadn't gotten a call and he just told me to sign the slip saying I'd received the goods. I asked when they had gotten it in and he said something about not understanding my question. His English was not great, but there was no help from Heckel and Jeckel at the main desk. But don't worry! I'll be back! Unless next year I decide to pay $10+ to avoid having to go into this place again. Maybe I'll just stop feeding my daughter so she doesn't outgrow her uniform....hm.... read more

Terrible, slow service. I wish my school would choose a different uniform provider. I try to avoid the store if possible because the service is so bad. They hire mostly kids who don't know what they are doing. The assistant manager is especially rude and unhelpful. Even the online service is not good; I've had items ordered in July that were back ordered until well after school started. You would think that a company specializing in one thing could provide decent service but this one does not. read more

Dealing with this company has been an education for sure. The sizes are completely different from anything I have seen before. Why can't you standardarize these sizes? The staff that are hired are very nice but are young and not knowledgeable about the uniforms or sizes. I am on my 3rd try to get skirts that fit my oldest daughter and she has been in the store twice. I am still waiting for dresses for my youngest. I had to order them online because they were left off our purchase when we checked out. I ordered them online 6 days ago and they are yet to ship. I will be advocating for our school to use a different company. read more

So I went during busy season(big mistake). I thought I had everything until my daughters school informed us that winter uniforms are starting in a week. I look at receipt and saw that I had paid for the item but when I searched through the bags it was clearly not there! I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with the assistant manager named Karae. She was the sweetest employee I had ever encountered at that store. She found the items that were missing and informed me that she would ship them out same day. Needless to say, we got the winter uniforms JUST IN TIME! I've had bad experiences at this place but I must say I was very impressed with how well she handled the situation. She even sent a store business card with "Sorry for the inconvenience" on the back. read more
