Has been two months, still have not received my order. had to call customer service just to have a ticket placed so I could start getting updates on my order. ordered when they ran a sale. order consistently went on back order. Last update I got said I should receive my products a week ago. any good company would know the inventory they have to sell And mark out of stock when inventory was purchased. Lands End Quality of clothes have gone down hill....not worth the price and don't bother with wasting you time on orders. When you return something you not only pay for your return labels but they also take money back for the shipping fee of when they send the item/items to you. What company does that and they do not even tell you this up front...they just take the $$$.. I have been a Land's End customer for numerous years even prior to Sears stores carrying Lands Ends clothing. Their clothing is now being poorly made one sleeve longer than the other, jeans with faded dying across the front of the pants 3 pair not just one pair. They now charge $6.95 you to return an item that does not fit or if you don't like it. I called Lands Ends today at 5:02 Daylight Savings time and it is now 6:41 and I was told get a return call within 14 minutes as that was my place in line. I texted them and that person was multitasking and gave very poor attention to my texts. I have never had such poor customer service in years. Apparently Lands Ends is no longer the great company they were and 99% of the clothing, towels, pillows etc in my house are Lands Ends Brand but it's time to go look for a company that has better quality products and clothing. What a disappointment I had a large order to place over $160 but I am Not going to chance paying $6.95 if I have to return poor fitting items Or drive one hour to the three stores that carry Lands End Per their return policy you don't get charged if defective only. Amazon does not charge you to return an item if you like it. Maybe Lands End does not care about customers service or customers anymore. It's a sad day to see this company become horrible read more

I've shopped here many times and usually received good service--today an exceptionally kind and gracious person helped me at the counter and it really made my day. Clothing selections are a little limited but I've still consistently found good sweaters, shirts, and accessories. Sale items are usually especially a good value--I was able to find a very well priced sweater and shirt today for one of my sons and was very happy with these purchases. read more

Dreadful return process. Rhonda at online returns is terrible. Rude, unpleasant and made the return process horrible. I'd not been in the store before and went there to make an online return. When I asked where online returns were to be made she pointed up at the sign and snapped with attitude that "the sign says online returns." WTH? She was curt, rude, and acted like she was above her job and if she was doing me a favor by doing her job. She sighed and breathed deeply as if she were in pain. Just abysmal. Won't ever return here again. If I have a return I'm going to mail it back. A distasteful and terrible experience that I won't ever repeat. In addition there was a line of about 15 people at the register trying to make purchases. There was a sole cashier while someone else next to her steamed clothing. A customer asked Rude Rhonda about opening another register and she snipped that the registers were not 6 feet apart. (Well move something to accommodate customers. Be creative. I have shopped at Lands' End the catalogue for years and have never been disappointed. Their service is great and their return policy is even better. I had a very old winter jacket(about 2 years or so) that I never got to wear because the zipper broke on it. It happened to be the second jacket I had this happen to so I thought I was going to have to pay for a new jacket. Not only did they pay shipping back, they were having a sale so I bought a new jacket with free shipping on this. I sent the old jacket back that had the broken zipper which they paid shipping on and they sent me the full price of the jacket on a gift card since I never got to use it. We went to this Lands End because they were listed as a coat donation drop-off site. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of free parking. The store is nice and clean, but the staff was a little disorganized. Richard went up to the register and said we wanted to just donate coats. The cashier didn't seem to understand and just told him to go to the end of the line. While he waited in line I browsed the store. The displays were nice and neat, and a nice selection of merchandise, but I don't need clothes so was definitely just looking. In the meantime, Richard got to the front of the line and put the coats on the counter. The cashier started looking for price tags and he tried again to explain they were a donation. Finally another employee overheard the conversation and came over. She explained to the cashier they were a donation and to just put them on the counter behind her. The cashier asked "then what?" She was told if we made a purchase we got a 50% discount, but since most everything in the store was already on sale it wasn't a huge incentive. But since I wasn't shopping and could feel good about the donation, I didn't care. read more

I have to say that for a store this size, the selection was truly limited. The selection of clothes is tiny with zero options. Almost to a point that it was a joke of a store. I think the men's selection had like 20 different pieces of clothes. There is a women, child,men's and kids, women plus, women petite selection. No ladies tall options at all like in the catalog. There is a home selection but maybe 4 kids of sheets towels and totes. I think most people were coming here to return things. No dresses or variety of clothes. Sales people seemed nice. Very odd but in the men's pants there was nothing over a 30 inseam. read more

After reading previous reviews, I was dreading making an online return at this store (had never been there before). Happy to report that it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Very friendly and efficient sales rep (Jeriel) had me in and out of there, refund in hand, in no more than three minutes or so. I made sure to get there close to opening to avoid lines, and maybe that made a difference, but on the basis of this encounter, I will definitely return. read more

I had a ton of items I ordered online that I needed to return at their store. I walked in with my huge box of clothes and Jana greeted me and directed me over to her table for returns. She was really nice and patient, despite that she had to manually enter in the barcode for each clothing item. I really appreciated the fast and friendly service. read more

If you are male, don't bother! At most 15% of the store is men's clothing, and the clothes in that tiny section are Traditional Fit only.

To some of the reviewers who point out to the small store location, I say "Who Cares?" You get the best of the clothes and home items right here in Rockville. And oh by the way... department stores are dead. People now want to get in and get out with pre-selected merchandise (think J.Crew; Banana Republic, Ann Taylor). The days of swimming in merchandise is gone and I am glad that Lands End is keeping up with the times. They have the same amount of merchandise as the stores that I just listed, if not more. The store is clean; non -cluttered and you have plenty of space once you get in there. The merchandise is in flawless condition. The clerks were super friendly. They bring a neighborly way about them as though you know them. I saw items in the store that are sold out online and was super excited to find things that I fell in love with. Hopefully, the reviews here get back to corporate. I visited the new store in Congressional Plaza yesterday to do a return and also planned to shop. I was very disappointed. The petite section was very small, much smaller than the area in the now closed Sears in Montgomery Mall. The space dedicated to the home section was about the same size as the petite section; the home section might have been bigger. I am not really interested in purchasing home goods from LandsEnd. It also makes more sense to use store area to stock clothing rather than home goods since clothing has to be tried on. I want the store to stock the same styles and options in petite size as they do misses. There were only two registers in the entire store, but the clerks had the option to use a handheld device. The manager did complain about the computer system, and the store was cold as noted in another review. The lines were slow because of this, not due to the volume of customers. I was disappointed not to see the familiar associates who served me at Sears. I do want to commend the young man who took my return for being pleasant and efficient. Overall, I expected a better stocked and more efficient store. This brick and mortar store gives me very little incentive not to shop online. I usually qualify for free shipping, and I will continue to return unwanted items to the store. Oh well, Landsend, can you do better? read more

I didn't even want to give a star, I am trying to exchange something at this store and it's horrible! The line for returns is so long and they didn't have enough staff. People in line with me are also furious. On top of that the manager was rude to everyone who had already been standing in line for 45 minutes. I was going to exchange, but instead am waiting to return. They will no longer get my business. read more

I love Land's End for men's clothing. I am more prone to shop online with catalog orders to get more selections and sizes (a differing approach for those who commented on lack of these at the storefront). It's comforting to have a store nearby for the convenience of returns. read more
