(Karina Grimaldi dresses, Havana sneakers and ALL their jewelry are my Go To picks). The staff do such a wonderful job displaying merchandise so that it is so easy to grab and grab and grab darling finds!! I can't pick which is my favorite: their clothes or their accessories. So can I just pick BOTH??? I can't tell you how often I have bought gifts, had them wrapped in their classic pink paper and bow, only to go home and rip them open for myself! I love this store! The varied and on point selection. More importantly, the team is wonderful. I stopped in once a few months after having a baby and this team totally got it and helped me feel put together and even fun again. Since then it's my go - to. They never pressure to buy and just make the shopping experience enjoyable. This store has some really nice items and we had a great experience with the girls working there. I think that things in this store were deceptively a little expensive , but they still had some items that were affordable. I bought a really cute shirt for work that was stylish and also practical. The girls working in the store helped with sizes, getting fitted and were not too overwhelming. We liked this store and their inventory is fun. They have just as much jewelry as clothing and maybe when I have a little more money, could afford to shop here a little more. read more

I came in this cute store in the winter when my back was out, I was limping visibly and had trouble with my right arm but man the sale items were so tempting. Virginia helped me try on clothes. Yes, literally lifting the sweater over my head and helping me take it off - which was MUCH appreciated because i would have bought it without trying it on and it looked terrible on! THAT IS AMAZING SERVICE. i find so many people out here act so entitled, maybe it is your attitude that these service reps are responding too? I did not buy the sweater but what I did buy were two pairs of fabulous shoes! As well as some inexpensive arm candy trinkets that I get compliments on all the time. Yes their prices are steep, I would dock one star for that, but I won't because this place does not deserve to be bashed so heavily. it's really cute and if you wait for sales or look around awhile, you can find really cute items for yourself and jewelry girlfriend gifts. every time i go in the staff is extremely nice, all of them and they vary. read more

Sassanova = sad! Their customer service is awful (I've stopped in several times over the past year); they really need to train their staff the basics of good customer service. The people that work there don't even greet you when you walk in the store! Are you serious?! They actually have some cute shoes/boots/accessories; however, the service turned me off so bad. Save your money and do not shop here! I entered the store and there was a young girl standing behind the counter. She spoke and helped me with my transaction. My transaction needed a manager so she brought the manager to the counter. I was in for a rude awakening. The manager was very very rude. She proceed to mock me because I asked if they had an option for "debit" for my transaction. She then proceeded to walk away and explain to her staff that she thought I was a bitch. She was very unprofessional. They have some fabulous things but I will not be returning to this store! I will also make sure other people know not to shop there. read more

I went in to Sassanova because a friend of mine is a loyal customer and recommended it. Alas! The items are overpriced. The customer service was terrible. There were two young women working there who followed me around the store literally both a foot or two away, maybe bored because no one was in the shop and they wanted a sale. The dressing room is tiny and the only way to see yourself is to parade out into the main part of the store so on view from the outdoors. When I emerged and was considering a dress, one of the young women criticized my wearing socks (it was 30 degrees and raining outside), told me to take them off, and said I couldn't possibly try on one of their dresses without wearing heals. I had to agree and so I left. For the price of the merchandise, this store needs decently sized dressing rooms and a 3-way mirror in the dressing room area. And, they need better sales help. read more

I found two fabulous cotton sweaters for spring at Sassanova. I wasn't looking but wandered in, as happens in Bethesda. These have style, great cut (loose but not too big), beautiful subdued colors, and are totally different brands. I feel like my summer wardrobe is updated. Helpful staff, no pressure. I had an amazing experience shopping at this lovely boutique in Bethesda! Being a Baltimore native It was my first time venturing into this location (second location in Baltimore). The staff was very attentive and very friendly! They have a great selection of jewelry, clothing and shoes. The sales associate was able to help me put together a few outfits for my upcoming spring trip! I will no doubt be stopping back in for more spring/summer outfits! read more

This is the worst store with the WORST customer service. When I came into the store I was not greeted as other guests were and was never asked if I needed help. Even asking a question appeared to inconvenience the staff. I bought two things on sale and I specifically asked the cashier what the return policy was. She told me I could return in 14 days, only store credit. The items I bought were on sale and she didn't say anything about a different policy for my sale items. The same day I brought them back because they were not as good a fit for my daughter. When I came back I was able to bring my daughter. The staff was also rude and nasty. Different staff by later afternoon. I had just been there a few hours earlier. When I explained I needed to exchange my purchase and she quickly launched into a bizarre thing about giving me a gift certificate which made no sense. We found a couple of things to try on and then he staff rudely told me she could not give me store credit or exchange. I explained to her that that was not the policy that the cashier had explained to me just a few hours earlier. This girl was nasty and rude, showing me the signs to the policy that were not pointed out earlier to me. I explained to her that there was no reason for me to look for signs if I ask the staff the policy and they say it to me. I trust since they work there they know the policy. More than anything the women that work in this place are nasty and rude I will most certainly NOT be recommending this place. Sad because I have been in this store many times and live in Bethesda. Sassanova = Style! The minute I walk into this beautiful store, I feel at home. I used to work for a top fashion magazine in their fashion closet and this boutique is set up perfectly showcasing all the latest, most fashionable styles. I usually pop in with 2 of my children and the staff is always so sweet to them while taking care of all my fashion needs. And I love that the cute girls working there always looked like they walked right out of a fashion mag. Definitely one of my top shops in the Bethesda/DC area! I recently moved to Bethesda and have been going into this shop every other week to buy jewelry. Recently, I bought a necklace and when I tried it on it broke. I took it back the next day to return it. They told me , "sorry but you can only have store credit, not have your money back." Even the girl at the counter agreed that she thought it was unfair. The fact that the girl behind the counter checked with her manager and the manager refused to give me my money back really turned me off. I will never go in the store again just because now I know how they treat their "good customers. " read more

Well decorated and inviting based on appearance. The service is not great because the employees are not that friendly and don't offer much help. The products are on the pricey side and for a while they were seller shoes at a lower price point, which was appealing, but now they are selling the pricier stuff again. They then sell jewelry that is at a fairly low price point. Their overall inventory is not consistent in quality or price point - they should commit to being more high end or being more affordable but the mix of both is odd. Also, they have recently started selling knock off Cartier jewelry, which I find wilding unappealing and tacky - maybe even illegal. That alone knocked a star off of my review. read more

Sassy ain't Classy! While Sassanova has beautiful shoes and accessory's, their customer service could use a high heal upgrade. When I walked in the store, Christen, (the manager) didn't even look up from reading. When I asked her if I could try on shoes, it was if I was bothering her. Finally, when I purchased the shoes, she made eye contact with me. Shortly after I bought my Tory Burch shoes and wore them twice, I noticed that they were coming apart . When I returned to Sassanova I was given a song and dance by Christen who informed me she couldn't help me, they would have to go through their rep. I didn't have a problem with that. However, When she promised to call me the next day and two days later I didn't receive a call, I decided to call her. She said she was busy and hadn't had a chance to call, but she would call me the next day. Three days later I called and again, no info. I asked Sassy (co-owner) to call me, and unfortunately I missed her call, but her message was not delightful. She said, This is Sassy, I was supposed to call you. I will only be here for ten minutes. Well Sassy, that's not how you handle business and you should be ashamed that you and Christen acted so snotty. I will not be buying anything again at Sassanova. Just because it's cute, doesn't mean its pretty!! read more

I purchased a pair of adorable Kate Spade shoes for a business trip out of town and dropped almost $350 on them. Two days later while on my business trip, I put the shoes on for the first time and took the elevator to the lobby of the hotel. As soon as I reached the lobby and walked a few steps, snags inside the shoes ruined my pantyhose, and the shoes turned out to be too small and incredibly uncomfortable. I went back upstairs, changed into a different pair of shoes (and put on new pantyhose) and figured I'd have to return the shoes when I got back in to town which is exactly what I did. The friendly woman in the store took them back and told me I'd get store credit. A week later I was back in the store looking for something to use my store credit on. The same friendly woman was in the store, she realized who I was and informed me kindly that the manager looked at the shoes and could not take them back because I had worn them. Well, Ms. Manager, you completed a(n unwilling) sale, but you lost me as a customer. It's not like I can't buy every single thing you sell someplace else. And I will! read more

Bought a beautiful bag today and want to acknowledge the adorable sales staff and extremely friendly atmosphere of this Bethesda Row boutique. While helping me, they also entertained a clients child, and helped pick stunning jewelry for a teenager. They are extremely knowledgeable about all of the items in the store. You can seriously find something for everyone at Sassanova. In addition to the beautiful shoes and bags, there are wonderful accessories and gifty things (jewelry, gloves, iPhone covers, stationery) in a wide range of prices. There is a very nice selection of kids' shoes and they're thoughtful enough to have a small doll house/farm for kids to play with if they happen to be out with Mom (or Dad- my husband goes there for gifts too because the sales girls are always helpful and seem to have a read on what's current).
