It doesn't come across as high pressure, it comes across as: "I see that you liked this floral skirt, we have a similar skirt that isn't floral, and we also have two different blouses that match that floral skirt." (I like having those options.) The prices tend to be reasonable, with some things a little high and some things amazing deals. The dressing rooms have a chair in them, so I'm not trying to balance like a stork and try things on. They always package things nicely when you check out. Tissue paper and a sturdy bag. I don't shop here often, but was in the area to have dinner and was killing time beforehand. It is located right next to the garage which is convenient. They have a lot of tank tops and neutral colors. Unfortunately the quality of the material is on the cheaper side and I don't think it would last long. Also don't like that most of the laundering instructions say that they can't be tumbled dried. I typically don't purchase items that have to hang or line dry unless I really it. I found and purchased a black top that was on the dressier side. Their styles are fun snd tailored to younger clientele so I am a fan, but likely won't shop here often due to the quality and laundering instructions.

The store had placed the wrong tag on an item I purchased. When I went to return it, the manager refused to accept the item because the description on the receipt did not match what was on the item. Rather than simply scanning the item or checking the tag to determine whether the discrepancy was caused by an error on the store's end, he immediately accused me of lying. What made the situation even more frustrating is that I had purchased several items during my visit and was only returning this one $40 shirt. The manager's assumption that I was being dishonest over a relatively minor return was completely unnecessary and deeply insulting. A store manager should be able to handle a simple customer-service issue professionally, investigate discrepancies before making accusations, and treat customers with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this manager did none of those things. His behavior was rude, dismissive, and completely inappropriate for someone in a management position. I can understand that mistakes happen, including incorrect tags being placed on merchandise. What I cannot understand is why the customer is made to feel like a liar because of a mistake that appears to have originated in the store. This experience unfortunately reinforces the poor reputation this location has for customer service and staff attitude. I have been shopping at H&M for years, and I should not have to reconsider shopping at my local neighborhood store because of one manager's unacceptable behavior. I will be contacting H&M corporate to formally report this incident. I hope they take the matter seriously and address both the manager's conduct and the customer-service culture at this location.

I do think they should look into an appointment scheduling system to help combat this (hence why I took away one star from my review). Again, all of my interactions with the staff have been great. Some will try and upsell you more than others. I did go ahead and accept the VIP 19.99/yr membership, as I go through more than one pair of shoes in a year so I do find the benefits to be worth it for me personally. This is technically where the new stuff comes in. - If you buy furniture and can't drive it away in your car, you're going to need to contact someone to have it delivered. This wasn't a problem and it mostly went fine but it's NOT a Salvation Army service, meaning some third party is doing it.
