I had to ask if I was talking to Scrubs and Beyond as she did not identify herself or the store. She said "yeah" again. When I asked the hours, she said till 7. I went in, she was talking to a friend, never acknowledged me until I was walking back out the door with nothing. Then she said, oh....did you need something? I asked about the Cherokee line as I've seen it on the website and wanted to try some on. She immediately got stiff and said we do t carry them. I said, oh just not in store? She said no, we don't have a contract with them. So, then we had to show her their own website! She then says "go ahead and try to order it, it probable won't ship out" So, we just left. If you can get over lackluster customer service, or if all you're wanting is to just try things on in person so you order online to get a better deal, then go here since there aren't many storefronts anymore.

They printed directly onto the shirts I brought in which was cool since I could pick exactly the shirts I wanted - other printing shops force you to buy their shirts. Sports Extra did exactly what I wanted and it turned better than I ever imagined. And they completed the job very quickly and the price was very reasonable. The owner Todd was very friendly and helpful and helped me decide on the size font and placement on the shirt. The font I wanted he didnt have so he downloaded it for me. His printing guy Rick also helped me on those decisions and had such a warm and calming energy I really feel like it went into our shirts and gave our performance good luck. Our performance went perfectly and we got so many cheers and compliments on our performance and our shirts. See pics below. Thank you to Todd and his team!! Highly recommend!!!

An adorable little store that I've been passing for years and have always wanted to go in. Why?…read moreBecause I always see something with the Maryland Flag on it hung up in the window, whether it's socks, shorts, the state outline on t shirts. Let's be honest. Maryland is the bees knees. Awesome in every way, but especially our state flag. The combination of our state flag, unique shape, and general amazingness should be a point of more pride amongst our residents. In my opinion at least. So I like to rep Maryland hard. Anyways! The store is small and carries a lot of lacross equipment and a few other things. I didn't really pay attention to the sports stuff as I was just there for Maryland stuff. I got a t shirt that says "Keep Calm and Crab On, socks that have the Maryland flag design on them, and sports tape that has crabs on it" They were out of the Maryland shorts when I went, but the friendly cashier said that they'll have some in soon and directed me to follow them on Instagram. So I did, and about 2 days after I left, they posted a picture on instagram saying that they have more shorts. Good deal, I gotta go back and get those shorts.

"Better than new"…read more I had a fantastic experience with Luggage & Leather Depot on the good ol' Hamden Road. I was dashing out to a meeting a week or so ago. Grabbed the trusty messenger bag con laptop, and bang! - strap broke, and everything spilled onto the floor. I collected everything, checked to see what had happened, and proceeded to be late to my meeting. When I arrived back home, the first thing I did was try to locate a leather repair shop, and the depot was at the top of the list, and less than a mile from me. I called, and the gent said that they would likely be able to fix it, so I took a walk over, and dropped off the bag. In less than 3 days, Mr. Kim called to inform me that he'd completed the repair. Again, I walked over to retrieve my Mark & Graham bag for a grand total of $38. Not only did I just save a few hundred dollars by not having to buy a new bag, but the repair was as advertised - "better than new" - with new leather, and an added metal bar for strength. I can't recommend this business highly enough. I'm looking forward to my next interaction - think I'll buy something new there next time. See you in town!

Mr. Kim restored my suitcase to "better than new" as he likes to say…read more After a 2-week long trip across Southeast Asia, my brand new luggage took a beating. Broken zippers. Popped stitches. It was definitely in need of repair. Mr. Kim was able to get the repairs done in a little over a week and the repair work was so seamless that I could barely tell what had been fixed. The only telltale sign is that he added a new, stronger zipper to replace the broken one which actually made it much easier for me to open and close the interior compartment. The $45 I spent in repairs was a worthwhile investment to ensure I would have many more years of adventures to come with my fabulous ruby red suitcase!
