I can not say enough good things about this place. They did shirt printing for my dance team 3 times now. They printed directly onto the shirts I brought in which was cool since I could pick exactly the shirts I wanted - other printing shops force you to buy their shirts. Sports Extra did exactly what I wanted and it turned better than I ever imagined. And they completed the job very quickly and the price was very reasonable. The owner Todd was very friendly and helpful and helped me decide on the size font and placement on the shirt. The font I wanted he didnt have so he downloaded it for me. His printing guy Rick also helped me on those decisions and had such a warm and calming energy I really feel like it went into our shirts and gave our performance good luck. An adorable little store that I've been passing for years and have always wanted to go in. Why? Because I always see something with the Maryland Flag on it hung up in the window, whether it's socks, shorts, the state outline on t shirts. Let's be honest. Maryland is the bees knees. Awesome in every way, but especially our state flag. The combination of our state flag, unique shape, and general amazingness should be a point of more pride amongst our residents. In my opinion at least. So I like to rep Maryland hard. Anyways! The store is small and carries a lot of lacross equipment and a few other things. I didn't really pay attention to the sports stuff as I was just there for Maryland stuff. I got a t shirt that says "Keep Calm and Crab On, socks that have the Maryland flag design on them, and sports tape that has crabs on it" They were out of the Maryland shorts when I went, but the friendly cashier said that they'll have some in soon and directed me to follow them on Instagram. So I did, and about 2 days after I left, they posted a picture on instagram saying that they have more shorts. Good deal, I gotta go back and get those shorts. read more

Street parking in the area, plus garages. A small dressing room with mirror in the back hallway. I prefer to shop at smaller stores, but there comes a point where I have to draw the line and say that there doesn't seem to be a point to shopping here for non-customized goods. What little Under Armour inventory they invest in is menswear or sized for super petite women. No skating wristguards to be had either. City Sports is just a few blocks away and stocked much better across quadruple the space, so unless you're picking up something minor for your kid's lacrosse practice... skip it. Even Target would be at least $5 cheaper. read more

The team at Sports Xtra did a great job in bringing our sorority's custom soccer jersey vision to life! The price was very reasonable and the quality of the embroidery as well as screen printing was great. Although we had a minor mishap with one of the designs, Todd quickly rectified the issue, and made sure the order was delivered before my outgoing flight. My school ordered custom-designed products to boost teacher and staff morale, and I was pleased with branded face mask, although it doesn't breathe as well as a cotton-cloth one. So I went back to their website to see what else they offered. I ordered several more face masks and a couple of face shields - and THEY WERE DELIVERED THE SAME DAY! I couldn't believe it! Nice people, knowledgeable about lacrosse. Decent inventory and average prices. Parking is a problem The place is worn and ugly The staff is a little disorganized. They need a process. My child bought a lax stick and head there. The head cracked and they immediately offered to send it back for a replacement. They gave us a loaner stick to use for the 7 days it was supposed to take. 3 weeks later, we still don't have a correct replacement. Problem is they ordered the wrong head, and lost the shaft! 2 mistakes. They mean well, but they need to write things down and document facts, instead of rely on verbal commitments and memory. read more

Terrible service. I've had my son's lacrosse jacket on order through them going on 5 1/2 months now. After the jacket wasn't here after about 3+ months, I called and emailed them. They said they would look into it and get back with me. I had to call them again because they didn't get back to me, and they said (same story every time I reached them): it should be here on Monday. No apologies or explanations. It wasn't here on that Monday or any Monday.They finally said when I called and emailed that they would order a replacement and let me know about it, but still no word on the replacement. Just a word of warning: they are not reliable, and not good about communication. I will never do business with this company in the future. read more

I get a lot of custom screen printed t-shirts made here for my job and for friends. Sports Extra is close to my office and to the metro plus they let me come in to do press checks. The best prices in the area (and the some!) for the kind of custom work I need. And Todd is always very responsive on email and really great to work with. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. We live in DC and I ordered a pair of the DC lax shorts for my fiancé. Unfortunately, the wrong size was sent to us, but as a lifelong lacrosse player, my fiancé wanted to return them in person so he could check out the store for additional gear. We met the two owners and they were the nicest guys. One offered to let us keep the shorts and send us a new pair. That was too generous as we were happy with just an exchange, but they were kind enough to give a substantial discount on the other items we purchased. Overall, I would recommend Sports Extra to anyone because they will make sure you are satisfied with your transaction. read more

Do not shop here! Terrible product + terrible customer service!! I ordered several t-shirts and a book bag as part of a youth sports team order--nearly two months later, I received the WRONG t-shirts and no book bag. I returned the shirts and was promised a full refund (I never did receive the book bag). It's been a month and after contacting the store multiple times I have yet to receive a refund! They charged me $200 for the wrong product (or no product in the case of the book bag) that I waited 2 months for. Buyers beware of this store!! read more

Great place, awesome service! In general Sports Extra is just a great store. I've been shopping here for years and have never been disappointed. These guys have a great selection and I can always find what I need. After stopping in on a regular basis I contacted them for some custom print work for my fantasy football league and found out how much better these guys are. Wow, I have been a youth football coach for over 20 years but have never received such amazing service as I have from this establishment. I needed jerseys for my team and the owner (Todd Bradley) was beyond helpful. He took an hour and a half to help me pick out the color scheme and logo and made sure I had all the various sizes I would need (some of the boys on my team are quite husky and require adult sized jerseys which other establishments charge hefty amounts for but Todd kept it all quite reasonable). The jerseys arrived earlier than expected and I was out of town but Todd was able to hold them until I could pick them up and they were in pristine condition. Thanks for a great experience! read more
