Score sheet...we played a basic game similar bowling...

My first time axe throwing...So glad I tried it. I've seen axe throwing posted on my friends' social media pages throughout the country, and it took me to travel to Omaha to try it myself. The building is barebones, cold, but exactly what it should be for this type of activity. The plus was that the bathrooms were roomy and warm comparatively. Also, they have a pretty big cooler full of canned beers and cocktails that they will serve you as you wait and throw...You can get three during your visit. We threw for one hour, there were four of us. With the training to start, we did wish we had more time, but next time would be better without the instruction time. So, I'd still do an hour, but you can do two. It took me a minute to get the hang of it, but another in my group got it to stick just about every time with no experience either. Bottom line, all levels of competitors will have fun here. The reason for knocking off one star is that our board was really torn up. There was very little red bullseye left and the line, must be where righties tend to throw, between the middle and second board to the right was really cut up. I'm attaching a picture...if you zoom in, you can see the difference between the boards on the three lanes of our section, we were on the right. It just seemed like more of our axes would have stuck had we had fresher wood. We had a good time, girls bonding night, and I would go back...

We went here for my son's 13th birthday party. Brooklynn greeted us promptly at the check in area. After the waivers were signed and our coats hung up, it was time to head to our throwing lane. Jacob was our stellar axe throwing trainer showing us the proper way to hold the axe, technique and etiquette (yes, there's etiquette in axe throwing). He was patient and encouraging with our group. Very important with a group of first timers. My wife and I also got a chance to wield an axe or two at the target. I must say, it's quite addicting. Is it wrong to go axe throwing on date night? I think not. Tracey K and I will definitely be back. Service here is top notch and a wide variety of beverages. Also, free popcorn; can't go wrong with that!

Love this place and the event was setup well. Love that there are instructors on hand to give you pointers. Place is pretty spacious. I would definitely tell people to give it a try. It takes some getting used to but definitely enjoyed myself! Thanks for all the swag Yelp!

What a cool place. I wasn't sure what to expect but really loved this experience. Flying Timbers is set up well and was really fun. For $20 per person per hour you can throw as many axes as you want. The staff is available to coach you (it's harder than it looks) and there are scorecards available with several different scoring methods to make the game more fun. For me, I was just so psyched to finally hit the target and have my axe hold. I can totally see this being a great team building event. I'm looking forward to bringing my kids for a family day event (12 and under won't bee admitted). In addition, they have wine, beer, soda, etc to quench your thirst. Lots of bathrooms too which I especially liked.

What a hoot!! Fantastic and unique bar for axe throwing. There are several bays in here you can throw axes and the staff gives you your own lessons on how to throw. Safety is a priority since you are required to sign a waiver, wear socks and closed toe shoes. If you come without the proper footwear, no worries, they have it covered since they have shoes and socks you can wear. The staff is friendly and very accessible.

We had so much fun learning how to axe throw at Flying Timber!! The facility is so clean and the people are friendly and helpful. Having trouble mastering your axe throwing? No problem, just ask for help! After a few throws, we semi-got the hang of things and enjoyed a friendly traditional game! They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from and you can bring outside food in to eat at one of their many tables. I highly recommend this place for a fun outing!

They are 4 and 7, and immediately the extremely friendly front desk clerk made me aware as nicely as possible, that these games are designed for kids 8+. I totally understood as lot of these games are violent, and/or phsycial with the hand tools. However, she graciously allowed them to come back and try some roller coaster rides, my son LOVED it, and my daughter liked it, but as she stated at the beginning these are for older kids so I wasn't surprised. I would definitely recommend coming here with kids in an older crowd. There are so many games and things to play. And clearly they're passionate and friendly, while it wasn't the experience we were looking for, I left feeling really happy we tried it out. I appreciate their customer service!

Pricing was $53 total for my 2 daughters to play for 30 minutes each, but they will have happy hour pricing available throughout the summer where kids can play for 1 hour for $25. On our initial visit, we attempted to walk-in and they were booked so keep that in mind. I wish you could book sessions via their website, but we were able to get appointments secured via email easily enough. We plan to return!
