I felt this is the best time to share since American Legacy is always trying to make everything everyone else's fault. I worked there this last summer and started boarding my two horses there . I've been quietly reading reviews and seeing how they are always blaming past boarders and past employees. I have received 15 pages of texts from past boarders and past employees stating how this toxic place has done them wrong. Even on here they hide comments so people can't see the whole conversation. Despite anything they may say or try to coverup from me - let pictures say a thousand words. Let me start off with I worked part time weekend feeding. I did a lot that I never got paid for. I bought a lot out of my own pocket like hoses, nozzles, etc. never asked to be reimbursed. I supplied my own grain and alfalfa for my horses. I would buy grain for the barn if needed but was reimbursed. So for the longest time Dorothy loved us- my husband helped out never got paid. But now people leave reviews and it's ex boarders fault. The reason we left is due to the sub standard care that this barn is ok with. We gave notice and paid and did everything we were supposed to but 4 days after paying - I was attacked by their crack head employee. He broke my arm- the night it happened We went to the owner's door and she shut it on us until the police came. She took their side and said we were trespassing. She said we could not see our own horses without a police escort. She gave us just a couple of days or she would keep them. Needless to say they were out the next day. We went there with the police and they said they were out there a lot and she is "difficult". She has kept the meth head employed even after he did this as they sat on her porch laughing saying I faked this. He was even there after he had another outburst and the police were called and he was taken away for it after my attack! Feel free to read the initial face book post on my page! Her media person and will post positive reviews after negative ones to up there ratings. The owner ask people to make fake accounts to post positive reviews. She also refers to her lesson kids as barn property. They only feed the cheapest sweet feed with no good nutritional value. That's why all the horses are losing weight- not only that they do feed bad hay- every month there is moldy hay and hay filled with fox tail. They feed by flake which are some times 2 lbs and sometimes 5 lbs so they do not always get the same amount. I spent week after week staying till 10 pm watering horses during the high heat. One of those being their media persons horse who was in distress. He says he is out there 6 days a week and that his horse is well cared for -would come in and see his horse and never even fill his own water bucket. I also found and helped with two horses that had colic. After I left I was told they told people I stole grain but I would buy $250 every couple of weeks and had 3 locked grain cans as my grain was being stolen. They only muck stalls once a day so we would do ours at night. She would order the same amount of wood chips no matter how many horses she had and started to blame us for using them all. I told them there are cameras check to see if we had on the last two shipments and nothing. Everyone knew I bought my own and had it outside the stalls so they could be properly cleaned. When something was said about being out of chips or stalls going a week without them- the response was- they'll survive. Since I left over 9 horses have left and the best of people have quit. The management spend all there time talking about people and boarders. The owner tells everyone who is late on board or who is doing what. She talks bad about good boarders and employees. The are toxic and think it's fun to make people miserable. They want to blame me for being rude or as The owner said to my friend- she won't be happy anywhere.
