This place used to have quite a variety of Gothic fashions for men and women in here and I have found it to be incredibly minuscule. Other than the shoe section, I have never seen so many shirts that represents Salem in the store and barely anything else. I would come in here and find a ton of horror. Movie shorts, funny shirts, nice dresses and tops for women and etc.. Needless to say I was not impressed. I would hope that things are going to change when it gets closer to the October season, but they used to have things like this all year round which is very disappointing that they did not have the things I was looking for during my visit again.

They have a nice selection of T-shirts, sorted by size, which made things super easy to find my size. They also have witch hats, which everyone seems to want and have while in Salem, and again, they are affordably priced, whereas others charge $30 or more. This is a really nice shop and definitely a place where you'll find lots of options.

That being said, when I first moved to town I checked out Twilight House a couple times. I found a pair of shorts that I liked and after eyeing them a few times, decided to make the purchase. There were no fitting rooms in the store (at least that I could see), so I had to make my best guess with the size. Once at home and trying them on, with the tags still attached, they were too small. I bought them back and went to the front to ask to return them. The young girl working the register wanted to help but owner immediately started saying in a snappy attitude that there were no returns whatsoever. The best they could do was offer me to exchange for a different size, but even then, the fit was still off. At that point, I was so disgusted at their terrible customer service that I didn't want the shorts anymore at all. Funny enough, if you look at their website, they offer refunds for items purchased online. It would be one thing if just a few people had this terrible customer service experience but if you read through their reviews, about 50% of people have noted this to be the case. I know I will never return to Twilight House and will not take friends visiting from out of town there either.

Every place that an individual turns is far better than the next place. This particular location and business seems similar to other shops that we have been in and around, but the energy is tranquil and calming . The counter individual is respectful and welcoming. She does not seem pushy and lets a customer browse through the shop. The store offers many local flavors and other items that an individual would enjoy as one of a kind too. The shopkeepers are super friendly and even showed me the inside of the former bank vault which was decorated like the Pirates of the Carribbean ride with treasures and a pirate skeleton. I asked to smell the Peach Melba tea and they actually bagged a bit for me to try at home. So nice. (And yes it was good) Definitely a great place to find some gifts for the tea lover in your life!

They even got us with the tour "if you're curious you should check out our ghost tour..." and so glad we did , it was an Incredible tour and I believe it was with the owner! Very great value for the price. I loved how patient and kind he was during the tour especially with people asking questions. I didn't want the tour to end. Best tour we had the entire time we were in Salem. Shop was a little humid.

But on my way out. I saw there was a line outside and a staff member hosting the line. I guess they limit the amount of patrons they want inside the store at time? There is a lot of magical and mystical things to look at and see in here. Some are props from movies just to view, theres a throne like chair where you can sit down and take a pic. Plus there are tons of items for sale from jewelry, to candles etc . I liked seeing all the Harry Potter stuff since I am a major fan. The lightning in the store is dark and moody very fitting for the town. There are lots of staff walking around to help. Enjoy!
