They were great selling the suit and $250 Eton shirt. Then came pick up...couldnt find the shirt , then when found cuffs were too tight and came with a black stain on the chest. I cannot thank the incredible team over at Giblee's enough. Specifically, I'd like to shout out Mike from the Danvers location on Andover St - from the moment I walked into the shop to the moment I dropped off my groomsmen's rental tuxes, Mike took care of me. For context, I was a walk-in when I met Mike, having just come from a terrible experience searching for my wedding tux at a nearby location (let's call them Wen's Marehouse...). With my head hanging low, Mike picked up the energy and efficiency in getting me into the perfect tuxedo. Not only that, but he was able to walk me through picking out the rental tuxes for my groomsmen. I purchased my tux, so I definitely appreciated Mike's expertise and attention to detail when I was browsing all the great options. Mike then made himself available for any questions and troubleshooting, as my wife and I wrangled a bunch of disorganized twenty-somethings to get fitted and pick up their tuxes in the proper locations around the Northeast. But the kicker is... every single one of them handled it with ease, thanks to the clear instructions and impeccable organization on Mike's end. All my guys needed to do was just show up, pay, and say "Thank you!" Truly couldn't have been easier on them. On the day-of, if any of them needed alterations, they just walked in and Mike and the team took care of it on-the-spot. My wedding venue was nearby, but I believe you can do this at any Sarno location. Every person in our wedding party looked and felt like a million bucks. I've never felt more confident in my appearance, and I'm so happy with my purchase (and with my new married life!!). I came here to get my wedding party suited up a few years back. The level of service was great. Ralph (the person I worked with) really cared about getting everything right and I never thought that I was getting upsold. It was a very sincere process and refreshingly not sales-y. At some point they had a shipping issue with a supplier close to the date, and he recommended some great ways to fix the problem. I think the solution was actually more expensive, but he didn't charge me for the fix. He also called a bunch when I was running behind schedule to keep me on track. Planning for weddings is stressful, but I felt like they had my back and were committed to making sure everything went as smooth as possible. My brother ended up using them for his wedding too. Todd and his staff did a tremendous job getting us everything we needed for my wedding. We ordered 9 tuxedos and everyone's came out superbly. We had all different sized gentlemen in our party, coming locally and across the country. Everyone's sizes and preferences were met. These people are a class act. My father once stopped in just as they were locking up. He said he'd come back but they stayed open and let him shop. Being a businessman himself, he really appreciated that and we talked about that every so often. You just don't find Giblee's quality of service too much these days. Most companies just want your money. Giblee's wants your *business*... they want your loyalty and they earn it. The inside is clean and classy, everything is displayed nicely and the sales staff know how to help without being overbearing. They know what the clientele wants and, if they don't have something, they can generally find it for you. I bought a pair of shoes there a couple years back and loved them. Went back for the same shoes and they didn't carry them any more but they called around for me and found them. You can't find that kind of service any more. I've been to Giblee's a number of times my suit needs. Be it weddings, company functions or what have you. This place is awesome. Giblee's has been around the North Shore forever and the man behind the name, Jeff, is always available out back in the suit/tux rental section. I'm a hard guy to size up and Jeff gets it without even having to get the tape out. That is years of experience there. The staff is always friendly, professional, and attentive. I haven't gone there to purchase any clothes, but the selection is top notch, the store itself over at the new location is beautiful. They really did a heck of a job with the new digs. Don't waste your time at the chain rental places, Giblees has better prices, more selection (Hey, if we don't have it I will get it for you!), and expert service. I arrived with my husband's old shirt in-hand and three children in tow. He has a very tricky size but I was confident that Giblee's would have a new shirt for him! We were greeted by Dimitri and he was very friendly. He listened to my request and immediately got to work trying to find my hubby's new shirt. He spoke with someone "upstairs" about finding his size in storage and returned to invite my three cherubs to join in on munching on a donut while waiting for the shirt to arrive. This was gracious and brave on his part where they are aged between 4 and 9 and kids get crumbs everywhere. I was nervous but the kids did well to be respectful about those crumbs lol! Dimitri returned with our new powder blue shirt and helped us to match a tie. He was so great! I highly recommend this store and implore you to seek out Dimitri when you arrive. Extremely dissatisfied with the experience my fiancé and I recently had with Giblee's for our wedding tuxedo rental. First visit went fine and we discussed exactly what we wanted to Groom/FOB/Groomsman's tuxedos. Confirmed orders shortly after. Everyone was measured, my nephews measurements were called in (due to distance). Then I was told that they never received measurements, close to wedding day. Those were lost by Giblees, and had to be given again. The tux that my nephew wore was too large for him and he was uncomfortable on the wedding day. One groomsman went in for a fitting, was given incorrect items, tux way too small. My father was given the wrong tux completely, and this was fixed, but was given a tux that was HUGE on him, even though he was measured prior. It was early thank goodness, and this was fixed. My fiancé and I visited and went over again what we had ordered, and I figured that everything was clear and would have no issues going forward. The next night, my fiancé with two groomsman went in for fitting, and the groomsman again were given incorrect items, good thing my fiancé was there to correct for the groomsman would not have known. Corrected them again. Groomsman was given shoes too large, and had to wear his own that didn't really match the other groomsman. Created a lot of unnecessary stress for us, had information been written down and properly communicated within Giblee's regarding our order, there shouldn't have been an issue. We are upset of the lack of coordination on Giblee's behalf. We spent a lot of money on tuxedo rentals as they were 220$ per tux (I'm not complaining of cost), and expected better. I hope they will fix this internally going forward for future weddings they are dealing with. I understand they went through some staffing changes but I do not accept that as an excuse. read more

Giblees was recommended to me by the bridal store upstairs, so I took my fiancé here for tuxes for him, my father, and the groomsmen. They were incredibly disorganized and did not follow through. My fiancé came back multiple times to try on the tux that they said would come in by that date, but it was never in on time. My fiancé had to come to this store more times than I had to get my wedding dress fitted!! And every time he went in, a random sales guy would try to sell him shirts. Two days before the wedding, I was in a panic because the tuxes still weren't in as they had lost the notes about what he wanted. They didn't even try to compensate for their issues. I do not recommend this place for anyone who wants good service or a rented tux. read more

Went to Giblees for an alteration on a couple pairs of pants. They don't usually do alterations on items that weren't purchased there but I went in and asked nicely and they were kind enough to accommodate. Also it was brands that they carry so they felt comfortable doing it. I worked with Dimitri who is very knowledgeable and fit me up properly. The alterations come out to a T and I am very pleased. They have a huge selection and give great pricing especially when they have sales. I am going to be going back there for all my dress needs! They carry very high end and moderate brands so you can go in and spend $400 on a great trendy suit like Ted Baker or huge boss or spend $3000 on a phenomenal suit like Canali or Brioni, the choice is yours either way your getting great service. read more

We used this place for the guy's tuxes for the wedding. Great selection. Prices are fair. But the customer service is HORRIBLE. My fiance (now husband) had to go in there/call several times to clear up a few issues as well as my father. Me, as the bride, had gone in a couple times and called to change the color of my dad's tie and come to find out when he went into pick it up a couple days before the wedding. They hadn't even ordered it. No one even knew about it. One time I had gone in you couldn't even read the scribbles on the order form. They act like it never happened. They didn't explain their ordering procedure with me either. I called the manager to complain and explain my problem, asking to speak to his superior for recourse to no avail. After some disappointing stops at the chain men's stores/tuxedo rental places, we decided to stop by Giblee's. We met Todd, and actually had a normal person-to person experience discussing what would look good not only on me, but with the style of our wedding as envisioned by my wife. We had an issue or two well in advance of the wedding with sizing, but once everything was measured and ordered it was a smooth process, all the way down to fine tuning our cuff-link and shoe selections. For a price consistent with the chains we visited, we got great style and knowledgeable service from people who truly specialize in this type of business, and I felt comfortable throughout the process which was very important for someone who doesn't dress up on a regular basis. Honestly, the thought of renting a tuxedo nauseated me, but with the newer styles we found I was put at ease. The fact that this is not a chain lend's itself to a superior customer experience as the staff have a personal stake in the business's success. Tailors on staff also offered peace of mind if something needed to be altered at the last minute. I have not had purchase experience with their retail offerings, but they have quite the selection of items you won't find in your average department store. read more

Booked an appointment here to look at tuxedos for my wedding in March. From the moment I walked in the interaction was terrible. I got passed off to different sales associates 4 times to go help other customers. The owner spoke with me for a couple minutes and showed me the tuxedos and passed me off to a different sales associate because he had to bring his daughter somewhere . One sales associate kept telling me "oh there's no rush , you have plenty of time." If I'm booking an appointment for 7 tuxedos you'd think they'd assign someone to help me and prioritize me over someone just walking in the door.At no point was I able to try on anything even after I told them I really liked this one . I was told go ahead and take pictures of the different looks . When I called to make the appointment I specifically asked if they had this particular color to which they told me they had a few off. Of course when I got there , there was none . You'd think in a time where covid has cancelled so many weddings since March and now are allowed to do them that the customer service would be way better with small businesses hurting . If I could give 0 stars I would . You lost my business along with my 6 groomsmen. Service sucks beware!!!!!!! read more

I brought my brother to Giblees to rent a tux for his prom. You would have thought my 17 year old brother was royalty. After they messed up our sons bow-tie for his prom, upon rental return they admitted it was because they were busy during the fitting and made a mistake on the paperwork. Then blamed us saying we should have noticed on the day we picked up the rental. The problem with that was they were partially closed for some private Ernie Boch Jr Subaru Dealer function, so they rushed us out of there. Admitting a mistake but then placing the blame on us just doesn't cut it. I should have gone to my old standby Russo's Tux. But Giblees was a bit closer. Live and learn. read more

I came in knowing nothing about dressing up. I had my military dress uniform but that isn't appropriate in all situations. I needed a suit for a job interview and whenever else it'd come in handy. I let them know this and Dominic explained everything and helped me put together a whole suit from scratch, even re-taught me how to tie a couple types of tie knots. I had a clip-on in the military and forgot after a couple years. Knowing nothing about suit shopping I thought it'd be like regular clothes shopping and just grab a pair of 34" x 32" pants for example. For those who don't know, the pants all have really long legs then they hem them to each individual. Since I didn't expect this and I happened to arrive after the tailor had gone I would have been without a sharp suit for my interview, or with one that had extremely baggy ankles. They had me meet them as soon as they opened and had everything ready. The staff was great because they never made me feel a fool for not having factored this in. It was a very helpful and educational experience for someone who's regular shoes are covered in steel toes and not in polished leather patterns. read more

Every aspect of my Giblees experience was a complete and utter NIGHTMARE. They are rude, made major mistakes, and worse yet they made absolutely NO effort to correct anything or even apologize. I have never written a review before, but this was such a bad experience that I felt compelled to. As a groomsman for a friends wedding I was told that they decided on Giblees for Tuxedo rental. The following is a brief summary of my experiences with them: The Tux fitting: When I gave them the name of the bride and groom I was told that I was in the wrong place and that there was no record of them. I insisted that I was in the right place, but still I was turned away. I was even told that "Mr Giblee" had a brother with a competing business of the same name and that I should go there. I left, called the groom and confirmed that I was in the right store. I went back and again insisted that I was in the right place. This time I described what the bride looked like and stated that the groom was away in the military. Finally they said "Oh come to think of it they were just in here the other day." I was then measured for the tux. Picking up my Tux: I was never called and informed that the tux was ready. I had to call three times, first being told that there was no record of my order, then hung up on after 10 minutes on hold, and finally I was told "it's been here, someone should have called you." When I arrived and tried on the tux the shirt was not even close to fitting, five sizes too big. Pants were way too tight in the rear and thighs. I asked for a different size but was told that they would have to order them. I was then promised that the pants would be in before the wedding and that they would be "overnighted" from the supplier. I then called back Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (the day of the wedding). Each time I was told that the pants would be on the next delivery truck and that I would be called as soon as they arrived. I was NEVER called, not a single time, and I even confirmed my phone number each time I spoke with them. Bottom line is the pants never showed up and I was forced to wear the tight ones in the wedding. I was extremely uncomfortable and this absolutely ruined my night. THE WORST PART: The day after the wedding I went into Giblees to return the tux and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with the General Manager, told him this exact story and explained how unacceptable my experience was. He was not at all apologetic and shrugged off my complaints. He told me that he would "look into it and get back to [me]." A week later NOTHING, no call, no apology, no refund. Trust me, avoid this place at all cost and don't give them a dime. I can't even imagine how a store that operates like this stays in business. read more

I used Giblees to buy by work uniform for a catering company. Tux pants, vest, white pleated shirt, tie. Ready and promised but I did notice that the shirt had black writing on the tail, like when you send a shirt to the cleaners. Giblees' admitted that they sell used shirts for uniforms and I should have been told. Sounds like a health code violation to me. I don't mind a used shirt but charge me for a used shirt and full disclosure up front. Internet prices might be a bit better and the clothing is new (I hope!) read more
