I highly recommend this shop for all your witchy needs. I had purchased a beautiful Amber, Alice in Wonderland engraved Pendant from this shop. It was the only one at the time. And I HAD to have it. Sadly, it went "missing" only a month later, and I was crushed. I reached out to the shop hoping there would be another one, just possibly!... AND BY SOME WITCHES MIRACLE THERE WAS! They were so helpful in walking me through the purchasing, and shipping process. When it finally arrived just a couple days later, another box was shipped as well... I was so worried they had accidentally sent me someone else's order. As I opened the box, I saw a note with an encouraging and lovely message. And behind that note was an amber pendant with a pirate ship engraved inside it... Now this was SO unexpected, and totally unnecessary of them to send. But my goodness, it was just the kindest gesture. On another note, my partner had lost their grandfather who was fond of telling the grandchildren of his days as a pirate. They grew up believing he once was a great adventurer of the sea. So, when my partner saw this piece, he nearly cried... it was so incredibly perfect. This store owners or workers are the biggest jerks. We were there during a girls weekend. They were screaming at everyone to cover their noses when wearing their masks. I'm an advocate for vaccines and being healthy but this was ridiculous. You are in their establishment and they are screaming at people. It's not a great environment. Instead of being nice to people they were yelling at their customers. My friend was standing at the register trying to purchase something, she was wearing her mask, as she was talking to the cashier, her mask slowly slipped a bit down her nose. Not even where you could see the nostrils and the lady was screaming at her to pull her mask up over her nose. She could've been nice, but instead she was screaming at her, then she gave her a credit card, she growled at her about needing to see the ID. My friend said it was on the back of her card. She said well it's not signed, what's better a signature or a photo? My friend was trying to be nice and started to talk when the woman basically threw her out of the store. The cashier said "you're done" and refused to allow her to purchase her item. Do NOT go here. Go to a different store. I would NEVER go here again. Screaming at customers is completely uncalled for. Went inside to check out the stuff they have. Pretty interesting items, but not all items were priced or had a pricing mark. I'm looking around, and my husband asked where the nearest bathroom is located in the plaza. The man says in a very loud tone (I was looking around to find something I'd want), for my husband to go to the police station. I didn't catch exactly what he said prior because I was looking around and trying to ignore his voice, so hearing police station caught me by surprise! My husband walks up to me and I ask him if the man was rude. He said no, but told him that the nearest bathroom is at the police station. Very strange, I continued to look a bit more and grabbed an item for $7. Right when I walk up, the man says, "you need to spend at least $10 to use a card". Ok, no problem. I walked around, grabbed another item that was $6 and my husband grabbed an item for $10. We go to check out, and I grab mints to purchase also. The item my husband got said $10 but on sale. The total came out to $18, so I thought that other items were on sale (had different price tag than others). I give the man my card, and he asks for an ID? Confused, I give him my ID. Never in my ENTIRE LIFE have I been asked to show my ID when making a small purchase. He asks me if that's my card, and I said yes it is and that I recently had my last name changed because I got married. I was started to get extremely annoyed and wanted to leave. While he was running my card, he's talking to a woman that works there. He grabs paper to wrap the glass we purchased, then starts to complain to the woman how she "folded it too much" and she informs him that he instructed her to fold the paper twice. I felt so uncomfortable and felt terrible for that woman for being humiliated like that by him in front of customers. I couldn't wait until we left because of how much negativity I felt being there. Finally, I paid and left. On the drive, I realized that I didn't get the 2 books I purchased ($6 each) and was pretty upset. I was about to drive back until I realized that I wasn't charged for them, so there's no point in going back. With attitude like that, a business like this will lose a tremendous amount of business from customers. With the location being mainly occupied by tourists visiting out of town, a lot of people will pass on the message to avoid this business. It's sad to see that a business with a good location and items have such awful management. I know that next time I'm in town I'll have to check out other locations to find items I want. read more

Had a great shopping experience here! We bought a statue for $292, which at the time we thought was a lot. However, after returning home to NYC, the same statue was selling for $540. What an amazing find!!! Store has a wide variety of items and was definitely fun to visit. We had a blast checking out all of the different sculptures. Would definitely recommend!!! read more

Actually, I give it 4.7 stars, since I think that no random-ass store of old and awesome shit should ever be ranked as highly as Gargoyles (RIP), but still this place is pretty swizeet. There's an armoire I want there, replete with squeaky hinges, random art, random boxes, candlesticks, books, and generally cool "stuff" that you just can't live without. Where to start? This shop has a great selection of crystals, statues, books, jewelry and trinkets. Hand sanitizer station was at the entrance to the store and there was a path created by markers in the ground and signs to help keep social distance. The truth about this store is it sucks big time that's right it has all type of gadget for witch craft to old books and antique stuff, but one thing that you must be aware the whole store is full of dust, its like the whole store have not been cleaned in ages. On the top the owner, oh please he have his mother who is the grumpy old woman with him at his store, try talking to her or even have her help you with an item she immediately calls her son with some type of angry facial expression as of just buy the damn thing and get the hick out. I've walked down Essex street many times and you can't help but notice the window of Bewitched in Salem. If you need to see an array of incense , there is an entire wall of them lose that you can put in a bag and pay for them , Check out the crystals , and yes they have so much to see. They smell great inside too! The store owner and employee's are great conversationalist as well! An interesting set up store but a whole array of products and energy that will make you walk around looking at the incense , stones , books and of course maybe a reading and a cold drink if you get thirsty from the awesomeness. But among the stones and jewelry is a talented tattooed lady called Lorrie Gibson! She witty , funny, and Bewitching to a T! A highly talented reader and magic practitioner, not only will she tell you what you sees but will tell you with no-less enthusiasm on how to make it better , but she doesn't sugar coat it . She speaks truth and carries honor in her work and personality. A wonderful person to have a conversation with , be prepared not only a broader wealth of information and someone who knows her snuff, but for a few laughs! I absolutely LOVE this shop! Not only does it have some very unique items for sale either vintage, new, or just completely random, but the owners are great. They're personable, down to earth, and very interesting to speak with. Plus, can't beat Rick, the psychic. Freaking awesome! Even if you don't believe in psychics, meeting with Rick is like a mini counseling session. He just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy even though he's more than willing to be blunt with you. When I go into a store, it's to actually do some shopping. After having nothing short of an amazing experience in Salem on Halloween, I remembered very specifically to come give this place a bad review. Every other store in the area is open and welcoming the entire weekend, except this one. I spotted the back side of this store from the inside of the mall, so I made a point to walk all the way around since the back entrance was closed. We made an attempt to go inside, but an extremely rude man informed us that drinks aren't allowed in the store... fine, I get it, so we left. The next day we went back to browse because it seemed interesting and I was harassed for having a sling bag (after having already been shopping in the store for 5 minutes). Apparently there is a "wear your backpacks on the front rule" or something, which makes zero sense (if someone is going to steal from you, don't you think you'd want them wearing it on their back?). I get not wanting people to knock things over, but the majority of the store is behind glass cases. For the record my jacket was bulkier than my bag so I have no idea how any of that makes sense. At that point I just left because we were feeling very unwanted there in the first place. I made the effort to shop there, but clearly they didn't want our business. I don't like being treated like a child when I am trying to shop your store because of a small bag that I use as a purse. read more

The owner of the store insulted me and told me to get out for checking the time, saying maybe if I wasn't on my phone maybe I'd be aware of my surroundings. What??? Don't go here.
