I met Andrew in July 2024. This is my story: Auto Repair/Body Shop Number 1, Rob's Auto Repair I have a 72 deTomaso Pantera that was towed to Rob's Auto Repair shop on Kona Street in August 2018. Rob was paid to overhaul engine, body and painting. Rob moved from Kono Street to Leonui Street in Waipahu in June 2019. Not a good location, building open on three side, very little protection, when rain, floor get wet! In 2020, Rob said he got COVID 19, slow work process to complete my car. deTomaso Panters was painted black in February 2021. After painting, body may quit as well as the painter, leaving all the work for Rob to put car back together. From March 2021 to October 2022, Rob tried to put back all the parts that were taken off prior to painting. He could not finish the job and kept on giving me excuses when the car would be finished. Issues: Custom unholstered side panels stolen from his shop. he said he was going to pay for new ones, never happened! Replacement $3,000. He took the windshield out, could not put it back and ruined windshield rubber, new rubber, $650 and $500 installation. Finally, I had enough of the BS, I had my deTomaso Pantera towed to my house in August 2023. When looking over the pain job, notice small bubbles appearing on the back of the deTomaso Pantera. RUST, detomaso Pantera must be body and painted again. Lost $12,000 deposit and $6000 is replacement parts that was lost/solen. Body and Paint Shop Number 2, G Force Painting Someone recommended G Force Painting on Mary Street in Kalihi. He came over to my house in August 2023 to look at the deTomaso Pantera. G made all kinds of promises on how he was going to make my car look great after he finished with the super black paint job. Never happened! G finally started to work on the deTomaso Pantera in December 2023. From December I received updates of the progress. January, seems like everything is okay. February, March, no communications from G?? Around in May 2024, get message from G that he doesn't have his workers and no money to complete my body work and painting. Oh Oh, I'm getting screwed again! My deTomaso Pantera was locked up in his shop. Had to get landlord to open shop to get my car and parts. Lost $13000 and $4000 in replacement parts. Body and Paint Shop Number #, FLY GARAGE July 2024, while getting my beloved shitty deTomaso Panera that was a result of being left at G's Shop neglected, I met Andrew from Fly Garage. He was there to tow vehicles to his shop to finish the job G could not do. I told Andrew my stories (above) and he was very sympathetic and understanding of my situation. He had many stories like mine he shared with me. Andrew took pity on me and with the kindness of his heart offered to do my deTomaso Pantera how I wanted to be done, super black paint job and modified flared rear fenders. Andrew working on the car in December. I would visit Fly Garage regularly to check progress. Every time I met Andrew, he explained what was being done to my deTomaso Pantera. He is a low-keyed individual with a sense of humor. Like when he calls my beloved deTomaso Pantera a POS!! So funny. Finally! My deTomaso Pantera was done in August and Andrew towed my deTomaso Pantera to my house. My baby is finally home after 8 years! Now, I get to drive my deTomaso Pantera, yea baby. I can't thank Andrew enough for making my deTomso Pantera the black beauty we both envisioned, Sorry for the long story but the KAKA that happened to me, is still happening today. Stop by Fly Garage and talk to Andrew about vendors getting money and not finishing the restoration. Must understand, vendors get your money and car/truck, and we are at their mercy. I recently had my 2024 Tesla Model S Plaid repaired at Fly Garage and couldn't be happier with the results! My car had damage in several areas, including a dent in the rear quarter panel, a cracked rear bumper, a huge chunk of paint missing in the front bumper, and a deep scratch along the driver-side rocker panel. I spent quite a bit of time getting estimates from different body shops, and the quotes were all over the place. I had a great experience with Fly Car Garage LLC on Sand Island. From the moment I brought my car in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The owner, Andrew, personally came out, introduced himself, and took the time to walk around the vehicle with me. I pointed out some paint chips and other areas of damage that I wanted repaired. What really impressed me was that Andrew noticed additional areas that I hadn't even caught myself. I was referred to Fly Garage and Andrew from a good friend who is one of the best auto detailers and paint correctors in the state. He knows how particular I am with my cars and I am sure that he gave Andrew a heads up...lol. I was very impressed by how Andrew and his team did numerous spray outs to get as close to the OEM color match to my 2023 Corvette Z06 in Accelerate Yellow as possible and didn't quit after only a few. I wanted the front bumper fascia which came from the factory in Carbon Flash Black to be painted in matching body color Accelerate Yellow but to keep the upper portion Carbon Flash Black. The attention to detail and craftsmanship when the line was cut between the Accelerate Yellow and Carbon Flash was a big relief when I picked up the pieces because it looks like it was OEM from the factory. I met with Nick, and after speaking with him for 10 minutes, I was sold. I felt the pride in what they do. I brought in my Audi TTRS to have the hood and rear spoiler color matched to the rest of the body. The color is Panther Black which is a very difficult color to match due to all the different tints in it. They did a wonderful job matching the color. I only have praise for them.
