To my fellow Yelpers, I want you to save your time and money because MC AUTO BODY has an excellent customer service and work and plus they are FAST. They are the only shop that gives FREE estimate with formal Quote (I actually went out to other shops too), and on top of that I just went there on the spot. Rich (owner) explained to me what has to be done with my damage, and he made sure that I understand on what they have to do. (which I have no clue about cars) Since then I felt comfortable and I know they will take good care of my car. Which they did! I've dealt with a lot of body shops within the past 4 years because of my occupation. Most body shops, I'm sure you've heard are shady and employ not-so-honest people. MC Auto Body however, is hands down the best body shop I've worked with. It's a family owned and family run business and their work is impeccable. I've seen a lot of their work in the past and it was always great-nice paint jobs, the paint always matches, no over spray or bubbling and they clean both the interior and exterior of your car when the repairs are done. Recently, I had to have body work done on my personal car and they put the same quality work into it. Someone hit my car while it was parked and left a huge dent on my door. The door looks brand new now and you can't even tell there was any damage at all. The paint definitely matches the rest of the car and their work was seamless. I asked them to also detail my car and renew my safety check. My car looked brand new when I got it back from them even though my car is now over 10 years old. It has definitely been a pleasure working with Philip, the manager and his entire crew. They're extremely friendly and do great work. My brand new Telluride bumper got scratched by a boy carrying metal poles past my car so his mom offered to pay to fix it. She recommended MC Auto Body. I saw they had good reviews so I took it there. When I picked up my car I noticed scratches on the plastic bumper that weren't there before. Rich was very nice and said he would fix it. He said they would call me and follow up. I had to call them and follow up after not hearing back for several days. They finally were able to get the part and fix my car. I was happy with their service until I was inspecting the plastic bumper I noticed a defect in the paint job they had just done. I texted Rich photos on a Wednesday, left a voicemail on Thursday. Got no response so I called on Friday and no one answered. I called again on Tuesday and whoever I talked to said they will have Rich call me. It's Friday so I call Rich again because I haven't heard back. He has the nerve to tell me that it's fishy that I haven't said anything after a month of finishing the paint job. I have a Black Copper paint color so it's very hard to tell if I'm not inspecting it closely. It's my fault for not inspecting it more but I just trusted they did a good job. It's obvious that I could not have caused that damage either. He told me he's not going to fix it because I'm not satisfied with anything they do anyway. Then do the job correctly the first time! Great service, At M.C. Auto Body. I've only had the pleasure of meeting with Rich. I've been to a couple of other shops to get some estimates. There was a dent on my SUV's tailgate and wanted to fix it out-of-pocket. The other dealerships just wanted to order a new tailgate and replace it over the course of 3-4 days and the price was pretty intimidating. I called up MC Auto Body and Rich greeted me on the phone and we made arrangements for that very same day to get an estimate. We went over the damage with great communication. He wanted to fix the damage not just replace the whole gate and was willing to take it in the next morning. He gave me an estimated 3 days to complete the job. He gave me a call on the second day to let me know it was done! Working 2 jobs makes things really hard for me to fit in extra tasks (like bring my car in) but he was willing to wait til i finished work so I can pick it up in the shop! I REALLLLY APPRECIATED THAT. The work itself, So again they fixed the dent with paint repair. Anywhere they can save me out-of-pocket expenses they tried(emblems, logos). He went over with what they did and how. It was like brand-new. The paint repair was on point! I know this review is a bit late, life happened. The fact that a month after the service I came to write a review on your excellent service should say a lot. I needed my bumpers painted to match the truck color. They were chrome. I thought easy enough, paint shops all over the island that would have no problem doing this... boy was I wrong! Not too many people wanted the job. I was surprised. Most explained the process to paint chrome was too hard to do. Others refused to do because the job was too small and not worth their time. I even got chastised by one shop saying I should have bought my truck that way if I wanted color-matched bumpers... smh. Make a long story short, MC Auto Body and Paint took on the job, and I am completely happy I chose them. From discussing with Rich K. Best car service experience I've ever had! I hit my Jeep Wrangler on a pole 3 days before leaving for vacation for 2 weeks. I found MC Auto body on Yelp. Myung Kim offered to inspect my Jeep the next day and gave me a reasonable free estimate within hours! He was very flexible and allowed my boyfriend to drop off my car for me so it was fixed and ready for when I came back on island. While my car was being fixed Myung Kim kept me updated via email. I was involved in a low speed rear end collision with my 2 month old 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart back in June of 2015. Basically the whole front end has been replaced with the exception of the fenders which were not damaged from the accident. M.C. Auto Body and Paint in Sand Island at the time was my primary choice due to the fact that I am a former employee of a dealership that frequently used M.C. Auto Body to repair new, used, and customer vehicles. I can honestly say that i will never take my vehicle back to this body shop, they performed sloppy work and payed no attention to detail or body panel gaps. Believe it or not, my vehicle has been in and out of that body shop three separate times before I was even slightly satisfied. To be honest...after the third time I had left my vehicle with them, I just wanted nothing to do with them at that point. The first time I picked up my vehicle, I immediately noticed the hood was misaligned. The gaps along each side of the hood were uneven and the striker would get stuck on the latch. I also noticed that the paint on the hood and bumper had way too many metallic flakes in comparison to the rest of my vehicle. Upon closer inspection, I found runs in the paint on the hood as well as specs of dirt that had dried in the paint. When I drove away from the body shop, I also noticed that my drivers side headlight and fog light were not working! Come to find out, they were never even plugged in!!! The second time I picked up my vehicle, I found chips in the bumper as well as an unsightly gap where the bumper meets the fender and was told all of the lancers had this gap which is B.S. Oh, and not to mention, the paint matching was even worse the second time! The third time I picked up my car, that unsightly gap between the fender and bumper was still there along with a few scratches here and there. At this point I was so done with the body shop and said screw it, at least its decent now although it only took three tries. Overall, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO M.C. AUTO BODY AND PAINT! read more
