This review is long overdue, but absolutely deserved. Lee has been incredibly good to me from the start -- treating me with genuine aloha and real pride in the work he does. The job I needed wasn't collision-related; it was a full aesthetic upgrade. I wanted to completely change the color of my Tacoma, and after Yelp showed me a bunch of options, I decided to visit Lee in person to see what he was about. I'm not much of a car guy, so this whole process was new to me. Because it was an expensive project, I came in cautious and ready to keep my guard up. But after meeting him, that guard dropped fast. Lee is passionate, ambitious, and fully committed to doing things the right way. He walked me through everything with honesty and integrity -- never once taking advantage of the fact that I didn't know much about cars. Instead, he supported me, educated me, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way. After agreeing to his estimate, I handed over my keys the following week, and he went to work. About a month later, I saw my truck in a completely new light -- literally. It wasn't charcoal grey anymore; it was Space White, a modern cool‑tone metallic white originally introduced by Ford in 2020. It's a unique two‑tone shade that looks grey in the shade and bright white in the sun. I found it by accident while searching for a white that wasn't "company truck white," and Lee was just as excited about the choice as I was. From start to finish, he delivered amazing work. This was the best investment I've ever made for my 2015 Tacoma (still under 50k miles!), and I'm genuinely grateful I trusted him with it. If you're looking for someone who cares, communicates, and takes pride in their craft, Lee is the one. read more

Thank you Lee for doing such a great job on my paint repair, and for getting me in so quickly. I was in a huge time crunch, and Lee delivered a quality job in a very timely fashion, for a very affordable price. I was quoted 3x as much from large shops with long timelines. I saw Lee's reviews and decided to take a chance and it was the right choice. I highly recommend Lee! read more

Lee is the very best in the business. His scope of knowledge regarding vehicles, their individual body lines, and what is needed to achieve a perfect look comes second to none. He puts his clients before he puts himself. I cannot recommend this establishment more highly! This is what you're looking for, my Range Rover looks PERFECT! Many mahalos to Lee and his incredible business! read more

It's my first time using Yelp's project feature. I was looking for a body shop that could repaint a car for a reasonable price and good work quality. There were several responsive body shops, but I ended up selecting Ko Li Collision. I got a quick quote from Lee whom is very responsive. I sent over pictures of what the car looked like. It was peeling paint and basically needed an entire paint job. Lee gave me a time frame and he fulfilled it even though there were set backs which was the Kona Low storms. He explained how he goes about with painting cars which impressed me. When I picked up the vehicle, I was very happy with the end product. Lee would send updates as to the process and even photos of the progress. Would definitely recommend Lee at Ko Li Collision Center. read more

The sun on the west side really beat up my paint. I wanted to get it back to like new condition. I shopped around and I got a response from Ko Li Collision center right away! And for a fair price! I can't speak highly enough about Lee. He is someone that you can tell takes pride in his work. He wanted to get the paint correct and wasn't gonna let the car leave without making sure it was done perfect. And the result is beautiful. I am so happy and I will be recommending anyone that needs similar services to Lee. I definitely will be a repeat customer for sure!!! Thank you Lee, very much. 5 stars all around!! read more

Lee is wonderful to work with. He was the first person to get back to me when looking for a quote on my car. His quote was affordable / competitive with the other body shops. Some franchise auto shops were quoting 3x the amount that he did. His communication is prompt and professional. I'm a chick that literally knows nothing about cars and he didn't let that get in the way of business. He was able to accommodate me when I couldn't find the surf rack keys for my car. Also when Lala hit he was understanding that I couldn't make it to my original appointment. He did a seamless body job on the door and fender. He stuck to his quote and the timeline in which he promised to get the work done. (Two days!). He is also very upbeat and not scary to talk to. He is located right next to A&H auto if you give your service to him. Highly recommend :) read more

Checked out my Tacoma asap and did a solid job with the repair and painting of the panels as well as replacing the panels. Like it never happened. Very reasonably priced and excellent communication. Gave me updates with pictures so I knew everything was on track. Hope I don't have to do body work again but I would go back to Lee and recommend him to anyone looking to get body work done. read more

Lee was amazing! great pricing, great work, and he finished exactly when he said he would. I would recommend Ko Li very highly

I had some paint bubbles on both rear doors of my 2016 Toyota Tacoma SR5 that needed to be fixed. Mr Li was able to provide a quote which I thought provided value for what needed to be done. I brought it in on a Wednesday morning and it was ready for pickup on Friday at 1pm. Mr. Li was extremely customer oriented and very friendly person. He made my experience very positive and I know that I have additional work that needs to be done but I have to pick and choose my battles for completing priorities. He completed the job and kept me informed along the way. I would highly recommend this shop if you need work done. read more

I had rust showing through the roof paint and the frame holding the roof along the windows both front and back. I went to 3 places prior to discussing options with LEE. I can see why their reviews are 5 star! I'm a TRUE BELIEVER in LEE at Ko Li Collision Center in Mapunapuna located on Āhua St. Lee promised delivery time and completion date and delivered. The cost was well below other quotes so the value for the quality of work was EXCEPTIONAL. please look at the before and after pics to appreciate his work. Any body or paint work that needs to be done, this should be your first stop! Thanks LEE! My wife is very happy too! read more

This is my new default auto body shop for O'ahu. We live in a garage with tight spots and cement pillars everywhere-- let's just say you better know how to hit tight angles in said garage or you will lose the battle with a cement pillar. The owner got me in last-minute, fixed my scrape in 2 days, and would have hooked it up with a rental car discount if I hadn't already gotten my own in a time crunch. If you scrape the paint off your ride in Hawai'i, repair is a must or else it'll rust out. Work was professional, and quick. Recommend read more

Li got me in the next day after I smashed my bumper on a cement light pole! Judged the distance wrong and boom, smashed. Mr. Li was very very through and updated me throughout the entire process! Even tho the time it took went on a little longer than anticipated, Mr Li did his thing n fixed my rear bumper when every other shop literally wanted to replace it starting at 2100$ ! What a shame dat kine. Not Pono . I definitely recommend this shop to anybody ! Painting, repairing , he does it all! For an affordable price . He no price gouge like other shops I've seen! I'm keeping his number on speed dial. 10 stars!! read more

I am a retired teacher. Teachers are usually critical. For Mr. Lee, I'd like to give a 5 plus for his performance. Mr.Lee did a great job on my 2017 Nissan Versa. I uploaded two before and two after photos on his Yelp page, which show the damaged and repaired areas. I am happy with the quality of work he performed on my car. Lee is very accommodating to my needs by offering extra help when I requested that my car be delivered to a location where I am confident to drive . He communicates efficiently, always responding to my questions in a timely manner. The price is very reasonable. He is the owner of his business, which can be different from some brand name auto shops where workers mostly work for income, but I can see Lee works for more than just income, he works to demonstrate his good craftsmanship, a rare quality in today's society. I recommend anyone who needs service using Ko Li Collision Center. Thank you Lee for what you did for my car! read more

I needed to get my car fixed fast before relatives arrived after my son accidentally bashed the sliding door and rear panel of our Honda Odyssey at a gas station. Lee responded quickly and did the job fast repairing the sliding door, back panel, and a long key scratch on the other side of the car and delivered right on time. He gave me a fair quote and sent me pictures of the progress. Great service, great communications, and quality work. Thanks so much Lee, really appreciated it! read more

Lee is dishonest. Didn't do everything he promised. Then offered to spray paint my car with an aeresol can. The work is 5/10. He pretends to be nice. I went to him once before for a simple job, which he did well, but the vehicle came back to me with damage elsewhere. Avoid. Also, he is now completely unresponsive and will not provide an invoice after he demanded cash before giving me back my keys. I will be reporting him to the DCCA, his landlord, and will be suing him in small claims court. I am done with dishonest people. Lastly, if he says it'll take one week, that means at least three. He has no concept of time. read more

Great service and quick turnaround. Helped my fender bender for less than the other shops I went to.

I went to Ko Li Collision Center with a small and fairly simple job to be done on my 2016 Toyota Sienna worried that they might be unwilling to be bothered with such a small job. However, they were courteous, fixed the issue promptly, and charged quite reasonably for their service. Given the works in progress and the newly painted cars I saw in the shop, I will certainly use them for future body work. read more

Very impressed, excellent work. My insurance company sent me to a body shop on Kona St. They took a month to come up with a quote of almost $6,000. This was just for damage from the collision but my wife wanted the other minor damage on the car done too. The insurance company considered it a total loss and offered us $6,500 scrap the car of $3,800 if we kept the car. Since the damage was just cosmetic the title did not have to be classified "Salvage". Before making a decision I took the car to Ko Li. He looked it over and said he would do everything $3,800. This meant painting almost half the car. Another problem was there was no color code to be found so he had to do his best to match the color, it's perfect. The work was done during the heavy rains we had and yet he still was able to get it done in about 10 days. I wonder about the one bad review, it might be a mistake since the reviewer is from Santa Monica, CA. read more
