Pretty good place but nothing spectacular. Both indoor & outdoor seating. Inside they have 1 AC to cool down the dining area so it gets really hot in there. There is hand sanitizer at the door, and they are diligent about masks since I forgot to put mine on when running inside from the rain :) Order food at the counter and they will serve you at your table. They messed up on 2 out of 8 orders but hey, mistakes happen. They corrected it quickly for us. They serve wine, of course in wine country, and they sell the cutest/funniest t shirts. If you visit, definitely check out their fun tees. read more

UNBELIEVABLE. Stopped in here with high hopes of trying the carrot dog. It was probably the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. The oil that it was cooked in was clearly ignited and tasted like jet fuel. Amateur hour! The bun it was served on tasted like it was delivered straight off the the truck from Cisco or US foods. Bland, GMO, run-of-the-mill, factory produced junk. The tomato (confusingly served out of season in February) accompanying it was completely flavorless. The iceberg lettuce to top it off was a cheap slap in the face. The entire order was actually spit out and thrown away. read more

This is such a perfect spot for lunch in between wineries. You walk in and you're met with southern hospitality instantly. So much so that I thought I might have transported into the south. All the employees were helpful in explaining the menu to each and every customer. I really enjoyed the Local Burger and tea. It hit the spot and filled me up for a reasonable price. It was the end of June with a heat wave, so my friends opted for a milkshake. They both said theirs were delicious. I love that this place also sells beer and wine. Their "rummage" coolers are brilliant. read more

A nice no-frills take-out counter style burger/sausage joint in the FLX area! You order at the counter, they call your name, you come get your food. It might take you forever to decide what you want because they have interesting choices! I tried the ground chicken burger and it was incredibly juicy. I got the buckwheat salad and it was tasty but nothing particularly special. My friend really loved the housemade Italian sausage and chips. They purportedly had a good selection of beer (I don't drink beer...I am just basing this on what my friend said). PSA: They fry with LARD aka pig fat (cue my tears of entitlement at not being able to order something fried). This means their french fries, chips, onion rings, etc are not vegetarian friendly (or non pork eater friendly). We asked if they have a vegetable oil fryer and were told no. I understand why they do it (they are unapologetically pig forward...I mean they ARE called the Wienery) but it would have been nice to have an actual (unhealthy) side that would work for the vegetarians. After all, they have a good housemade vegetable burger/veggie dog option. At a minimum, they should advise people of the lard fryer when they order fries as it is an atypical thing around these parts. read more

Very friendly staff and lots of seating. And while waiting for my food, I went to the restroom and saw the Yelp hall of shame so that made me think the food was going to be good because it takes a certain type to put that up. Unfortunately, I agree with those on the wall about the food. The burger and the fries were ok. The meat was underseasoned and the actual grind of the meat was sloppy. And they don't toast any of the buns. All the food quality reminds me of a backyard bbq. The hot dog was below average. Tasted kind of old, like it was just sitting on a warming tray for a while. The bratwurst was absolutely disgusting. I had to throw the whole thing out. It tasted like shredded, softened cardboard. If you must eat here, just get the fries and the beer. read more

Spent the weekend recently at Bristol, and enjoyed finally being close enough by to try FLX Wienery! Got housemade sausages in "The Kraut" style -- one brat and one Italian. We both liked the Italian the best. Enjoyed them with a side of housemade chips with lake salt. And a boozy milkshake -- ours had apple & rum. Oh my! The food and shake were delicious!!!! Ate so quickly I couldn't get any pix! Warm service, beautiful fall weather and foliage for the drive. A great time, and we'll be back! Love wearing my shirt from there! read more

Been wanting to try the new spot with Roc and randomly got brought here for dinner on our family vaca, had no idea it was here! The food was great, I had the State Fair which was really tasty and the table got 2 orders of fries (one was poutine and the gravy was BANGIN) which were both great. They have a pretty neat setup for drinks with a few not so run of the mill options on tap and really nice cooler full of some great beers including CBS which really caught me off guard. Nice little break from all the wineries around, cool little spot. read more

You know a place is good when you go there twice in one day! We stopped by to grab something quick to eat while doing various wine tasting and liked it so much, we brought the kids back for dinner. Service is friendly and knowledge. The young women who helped us (both times) met us by the wall sized menu to explain the way it worked. There are many choices, even a vegan dog (a roasted carrot), but I stuck with the white hot both times, just dressed differently. My husband and daughter had the red hots and said they were really good. We had the kimchi fries and the chili fries and both were delicious. They serve various beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks and milkshakes. We stuck with the soft drinks, but our son had a Nutella malt milkshake that was so good. The decor is nothing fancy, but it is stylish.. honestly though, the food is so good, I'd eat it standing up if I had to. read more

The food was delicious! We actually went twice during our weekend visit to Seneca Lake because the food was so amazing and we wanted to try more of the menu. I don't think you could pick something bad. The staff was great - friendly and welcoming. Their suggestion to add peanut butter to the brown sugar and bacon milkshake was amazing! Highly recommend a stop here! read more

The food we got from here was amazing. We got the onion rings, cheese curds, peanut burger, and kraut dog. Every item we ordered was delicious, freshly made, and tastier than the last. The fried cheese curds were one of the best things we ate the entire trip. 100% a must go when visiting Seneca Lake (especially to get a nice base in before wine tasting all day). read more

Holy shit. What can I say about this place that has not been said about no been said about the 1996 Dallas Cowboys. World class Weiners! Great wine great food . Loved it! read more

So I need to preface this review with this statement. I loved this place but it was not even close to a perfect experience. I'm going to start with the bad because I think it's important to set expectations. If this place is busy, you will wait... and wait... and wait... possibly until your grandchildren grow up, have families of their own, and their children join you at the table that's been passed down for generations. There is also the problem of the restrooms that are frequented by wine tourers. They tend to have upset tummies. This leads to unpleasantness. I'll leave it at that. Also there are a lot of wine tourers... who tend to be drunk. And loud. And sometimes not family friendly. I didn't see ALOT of this. But there were some clearly intoxicated people singing as they waited for their dogs and it was a bit obnoxious. Aside from that the food is creative, unique, and delicious. And there is literally a whole deli case of different beers to indulge in. If you can get past some of the negatives and just appreciate the artistry being done with fry cook food you'll really enjoy it here. I'd say it's a solid 4/5 for the food alone. Try it. I think you'll find it's worth the wait. read more

Crew is nice and friendly. Good selection of drinks and the food is very unique and tasty. 4 stars because the food is quite salty overall so be careful. I ordered the whole hog but I didn't enjoy it much (a bit too salty for my taste), I tried my friend's K town burger and it was really good so I'd recommend that and the chili dog. read more

Really tasty hidden gem! Alcoholic milkshakes are top notch and if you're not sure what to mix the manager had really good recommendations. They have a wide range of beer and wine to compliment the sausages. Their fries are thin and crispy and some of the best I've had as well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars as when its crowded its a little tough to find seating, hear your order called and just annoying to deal with all of the bachelorette parties coming through on buses. Overall though great place and looking forward to visiting again! read more

A repeat visitor to this establishment. Rather than my usual red- or white-hot, I went with the house-made chorizo with peppers, onions and catsup; fries topped with garlic, parsley and lemon; and a Genesee Cream Ale. Chorizo not as spicy as expected - an observation, not a complaint. Nice topping on the fries. Better than catsup. And a Genny is a Genny. read more

Very disappointed. FLX Wienery is over hyped and way over priced! No service whatsoever. Skip the Wienery!

The carrot veggie dog I got was good! The texture was great, and it was surprisingly flavorful for being made of only a carrot.

IPA lovers rejoice, this was the only place I found in the area with a strong selection of hazy/juicy IPAs. Fridge is stocked with Other Half, Equlibrium, Lawsons, etc. they also had other half on tap! The food was also delicious and the service was very friendly, highly recommend! read more

I will start by saying if you only serve burgers, hot dogs, and sausage as your entrees you better make good ones. If you wondering yes they do!!! The place The only reason I am not giving this place a 5 star is the smell of sulfur in the place. I can only assume they have a well that creates this problem. It was quiet a strong smell of rotten eggs in the place. So that scared me a bit but I am glad I decided to stick around. The food What can I say but this place is worth you time and money. They make most of the food in house except for the hot dogs I think. I have a huge topping list that was overwhelming so I went with the Blue Artist burger which had fried egg, onion rings, blue cheese, AMAZING Canadian Bacon and mushrooms. All I can say wow talk about flavor everything on the burger was top notch. One really unique thing is the onion rings they fry them in Frank's hot sauce I really liked it. I will say I am not a huge fan of the what I like to call "skinny onion rings" I like the traditional big rings but that is preference. The fries were also solid. Then I decided to get a milkshake I went with the Peanut Butter and Nutella. OMG it was one of the best shakes I have had in awhile! The only problem as I got in the car my family decided to "try it." I passed it around the car half full and it came back to me empty!!! Yes I am still bitter about it. The staff When you go in a place with such a complex menu you have to someone who can explain it you. The lady who helped us was nothing short of great. She was patient with my family since of us were alittle slow and figuring it out. The verdict The place has found a niche and done it extremely well! The food from the burgers to the milkshakes were nothing short of great. My only complaint was the rotten eggs smell. I cant wait to come back and try more of the menu! read more

This place is simply amazing. Fresh meats full of flavor. My boyfriend and I were staying nearby this past weekend and I knew we had to try this place. The Sunday before we left we made sure we stopped in, we didn't plan on eating much but it didn't go that way. we ended up ordering 50 bucks worth of food and beer! Worth EVERY penny!! We got a burger and a bratwurst. I think we got the burger with the "local/loaded" toppings...each topping selection has its own name or you can build your own. Portions are HUGE! I honestly am in love with one burger place locally in buffalo and I have not found anything that compares...until we came here! I will TOTALLY go out of my way again and visit, even if it's just a day trip Because this place is THAT good! The hell with the bad reviews, yes the bathroom smells get over it! Milkshakes are also to die for I recommend them! Along with a Poutine! Thanks to the staff for being helpful and letting us indulge! read more

Staff were very helpful in navigating the menu. Overall the sausage/hots were a little overwhelmed by the toppings, which while good - didn't blow me away. My suggestion would be to order one of the "plainer" options instead of the pre-concocted combinations as everything just ended up tasting like the onion rings that was covering everything :) Very cool that practically everything is home-made (including condiments, sauerkraut, etc.) Makes a nice casual stop if you're in the West Seneca wine country - a good lunch location between wine tastings! read more

You can find many places selling you hot dogs or hamburgers along Route 14. However, very few, perhaps not any, make them this well. If you're looking for ballpark food, this ain't it. These are lovingly handcrafted, tasty-as-all-hell, fully-decked-out eats. No Sysco bags here, the food is made from scratch and the dedication shows. The staff is wonderful, the food was tasty as it was unhealthy, and this place just became one of my MUST-STOPS on Rt. 14. read more

After drinking wine for half of a day and reading the rave yelp reviews we decided to give this place a try. THROUGHLY disappointed. We waited in a 20 minute line to arrive at the counter and have the waitress improperly record our order (I opted for the emailed receipt, mistake. Chipotle mayo? I didn't order that, thanks for tacking on $.25) . And just so you know, nickel and dime is the name of the game. EVERY condiment out side of ketchup is gonna cost you. We then sat and waited for another 30 minutes as nearly everyone around us was served their lunch. Interestingly enough, we later were informed that our order ticket had been 'lost'. By some miracle it was found, and another 5 minutes later we received food. Here is the best part, the buns were cold (ice cold and overwhelming), the hot dogs were puny and unimpressive, my burger was so small that I am HANGRY as I type this, I ordered cheese curd and got some form of queso fresco. And the chips, STEER CLEAR, they are not made to order and were stale as all hell. This is getting long so let me summarize, I left this restaurant feeling upset and underfed and I didn't even get my chipotle mayo. read more

Stopped in on the recommendation of our hostess at Anthony Road after a morning of wine tasting. Nothing fancy about this place, just high quality dogs with creative options and LOTS of great sides. We had one Kraut dog and one Argentine, plus fried onions and maitre fries. We should have stuck to one side - portions are huge - but couldn't make up our minds. We'd definitely stop again when we are in the region! Tip: if you like crispy fries, don't order them with lemon juice (maitre) - can't add liquids and expect a crunchy result. And they were delicious! read more

Distinctly disappointing, particularly after having read all the rave reviews on Yelp. Possibly going on a Monday during the off-season (in terms of summer tourists flocking to nearby wineries or auto racing in Watkins Glen) means they don't have their A Team on staff, but they really could have done better. From the Yelp reviews and their website I expected a hipster foodie vibe where everyone was busting ass to make more interesting food than the usual upstate tourist traps. I mean, most of the wineries near Watkins and Hammondsport are open for tastings, so if they aren't interested in doing their best maybe they should only be open seasonally like some of the other area establishments are. Anyhow, it didn't start out promising - the woman at the counter was distant and unfriendly, and didn't try to clarify their menu when we asked questions. As far as the food itself, things were okay but every item was a bit off. The meat in my partner's burger tasted delicious and was fresh and well-cooked -- but the bun it was served on was ice-cold, and the lettuce was wilted. Kind of an insult to a good burger! As far as the two wieners I ordered, the chorizo was fine, with good taste, particularly with a little of their house hot sauce on it, but here also a bread problem - the wieners are served on thick, doughy potato buns whose blandness, frankly, detracts from the taste of the meats. The smoked wiener was actually quite tasty (eaten with brown mustard and some chow-chow relish), but again with the thick potato bun, not perfect. Lastly, the home-made chips -- and I know home-made potato chips are difficult to really do well -- were over-done, slightly burned. (Seemed like either they left them in too long or they re-fried some chips that had been sitting there cold for a while to freshen them up.) Again, it's possible that during busy season they try a little harder, or have more diligent cooks working the line. But this visit was a disappointment. And if you think I've used the word "wiener" too much in this review brace yourself, because everywhere you look in the dining room there is a poster or mounted T-shirt with a naughty pun on wiener, bun, or combination of the two. (I'm not prudish by any stretch but after a while it was a little eye-roll-inducing.) read more

Exciting and flavorful hot dogs and hamburgers with a wonderfully juvenile sense of humor, FLX Wienery is a must visit on the west side of Seneca Lake. If it were possible to give a sixth star to a place I would give it to FLX Wienery. Everything about it - from execution, to the food, to all the dirty jokes involving wieners - I adored just walking in the door. The staff was very proactive in explaining the long menu and how to order which involves (1) selecting your wiener/sausage/burger, (2) picking your "art" or toppings, and (3) any sides or alcohol (they have an expansive wine list here). I ordered the Bratwurst with Whole Hog art ($9.95 - fried onions, bacon, cheese curd, corn relish, fried egg, chipotle mayo) and my girlfriend ordered the Zweigle's White hot dog with the Kraut art ($5.95 - brown mustard, sauerkraut, Fried onions) along with an order of Spicy Onion Rings ($3.75). Oh my goodness was everything delicious - that whole hog is a ton of toppings (you only need one dog), and attempts at a fork and knife eventually give way to you eating it with your hands the way the restaurant intended. It's an explosion of succulent flavors in your mouth. That takes nothing away from the Kraut - live the freshly made and not watery at all sauerkraut that added to the flavor of the dog without overwhelming (the brown mustard was also a nice touch). And those onion rings, not those big thick ones you're familiar with, instead you get smaller stringy rings that is lightly breaded and seasoned, but somehow pack more flavor than a traditional onion ring. An incredible dining experience, FLX Wienery was my favorite restaurant we ate at in the Finger Lakes. Great food, great vibe, super crowded at lunch, and a delightfully juvenile sense of humor ("No One Beats our Wieners) among the typically stuffy winery scene, add this to the must-visit list. read more

Had we stopped here before our last day of vacation, we would've DEFINITELY made more than one stop. I decided on the K-Town burger with a ground beef patty. The patty was cooked perfectly medium rare and the toppings were creative and delicious, without overwhelming the burger itself. I also was fortunate enough to have several bites of the fois gras fries that were equal parts savory, creamy, crispy, and just fricken' delicious. The fried cheese curds were also amazing and not just because melted cheese is awesome; the breading was also really well seasoned. To top it all off, I'm a craft beer lover and the Wienery unexpectedly houses a really unique beer selection including both taps and bottles. Having multiple Prairie Artisinal kegs pretty much blew my mind, as I can rarely even find that brewery pouring in Philadelphia. Someone that runs this place is most definitely a beer lover and it's greatly appreciated. Overall I highly recommend! read more

I was so excited to try this place, I wish our experience was better. We went around 3:00 on a Saturday for a late lunch and were shocked to see the crowd - big crowd must mean it's worth it! Well, we waited in line for 20-30 mins, then waited another 45-60 for our hot dogs. When we were finally called up for our food, we had long since finished out drinks and the meal came out in pieces, so we were left awkwardly standing by the crowded counter waiting for the rest of our order. Everything was a different temperature. Our fries were decently fresh, our hot dogs were lukewarm with room temperature toppings (bacon shouldn't be room temperature), and our dessert (a minuscule bite of fried nutella) was piping hot. I understand it was busy. But these are hot dogs. Not even homemade hot dogs, but Zweigle's, as in the exact same ones you can get from any hot dog cart or Wegmans. I get that it's cool and exciting to try out gourmet toppings on such a cheap piece of meat, and maybe we would've felt that way had our food come out fresh and in a timely matter. But honestly, I'll save the $40 next time and grill my own Zweigle's at home. read more

I've been to the Finger Lakes several times to see family over the past couple of years. Although, I love the plethora of wineries in the area the food choices in the area have generally disappointed me. I visited FLX Wienery on 4/22/17. It is fairly new and a nice addition to area. In some ways, it was reminiscent of the upscale hot dog places (i.e. offering a variety of toppings from goat cheese to Sirach) in the northern VA area. It also had similar prices to the northern VA area which was surprising to me due to the fact that majority of the restaurants in the Finger Lakes area are not as expensive. I had the veggie burger which was good. I appreciated all the help in picking my choices I received from the cashier. The ambiance is very casual. The variety of the menu makes it easy for everyone you're dining with to find something. The only reason I cannot bump up my rating is I wasn't impressed by their cheese curds and regular soda options. In a nutshell, happy I stumbled on this place while visiting the area but it I don't think I'd go back twice in the same weekend. read more

Super fun location! Loved that we were greeted and given an overview of the menu right when we walked in. Lots of dogs and burgers to choose from. The milkshakes are the real stars here -- I highly recommend the salted caramel and pretzel. Burgers were also really good.
