When you go out to eat on your anniversary and spend good money you expect certain things to be a given. Here our entree was brought out before the appetizer, there were no utensils (we had to ask for them), and when we ordered I specifically asked if there was certain ingredients on top of the entree. When they brought the entree out there was eveything on top that they told me there wasn't. It was covered in green onions in which I am allergic to which is why I asked. After dinner we ordered coffee and cake, but when they brought it I again had to ask for utensils and sweetener for our coffee. If I'm going to go out and spend $50 on a meal, I somewhat expect to get decent service. The original one in Houston, doesn't compare with this one in any way, shape, or form. read more

This location definitely does a lot better in terms of service and consistent quality of the food. Even though the location in Pearland is closer, it definitely lacks customer service qualifies & the food is a hit and miss mostly. We got here around 8:30p and there was a usual wait time but the hostess were around to let us know who was next and what was going on, so at least there was an organization to them. Following, our waiter was efficient and friendly and didn't overly check on us or forgot about us. The food came out promptly. We had 5lbs of the crawfish with the corn and potatoes (crawfish will still be small as of now) but they were tasty and well seasoned. The dozen half shell oysters were delicious (if topped right with hot sauce and crawfish seasoning). They definitely made the chicken and sausage gumbo so good tonight! Not too salty and not too luke warm when arriving. Also, the crab bisque my boyfriend had was well made tonight too! The other location had the food pretty much cold by the time it came out and it wasn't as creamy. Overall, service and quality of the food was great tonight! I wanted to try something different for my birthday and visited Floyd's seafood restaurant in Webster TX today which is 03/18/2022. My husband and I had to look around to find someone to assist us with a table. After that, we ordered happy hour oysters which wasn't that pleasant. Also, spinach & artichoke dip that I Could not eat the chips were burnt and I can't even explain the dip. The shrimp embrochette was so Damn small the bacon covered the shrimp. It wasn't even fresh it was dry! The food was old and under cooked. The Oysters tasted like they just been removed off of a salty beach, inedible, meaning they tasted like beach salt and dirt. The dirty rice was cold and clumpy and old. The fondue which was always a favorite was not even melted or cooked. The bacon wrapped shrimp there are no words how small, old looking and tasting. We were told their grill was not functioning so they were trying to bake everything, and it just went bad. They compensated us with a $5.00 coupon OMG REALLY! I love the Floyd's in pearland, and was pleasantly surprised to see one in Webster when we had to run errands in this area. So we decided to try this location. Dinner started with a side Caesar salad. (8.99) it was tiny & had some rotten pieces of lettuce. They exclaim homemade dressing on the menu, but I would have been more satisfied with a bag of salad at Heb. A gnat crawled across the table as I waited for my entree. I ordered the shrimp poboy (15.99) they should have been butterfly shrimp. I felt like they put popcorn "kids meal" shrimp on it. All the breading was falling off. No flavor. I did not finish. We also got the chicken fried steak (17.99). Guys seriously, they made the potatoes look fancy but the texture and flavor of the steak was that of a TV dinner. Highly disappointed . On the bright side, the waitress was nice but she wasn't attentive...no refills throughout whole dinner...and the fries were hot and palatable.(2 stars for that ) I would not return. I frequent Pearland Floyd OFTEN, same menu and such a terrible surprise how everything here was compared the other store. The sauce for the alligator was almost like water normally nice and thick. The cerviche again way too runny compared to the Pearland locations the drinks from the bar didn't even taste the same. Shame Floyd himself doesn't read this he'd be pissed. I've had my welcome home party from Afghanistan at the Pearland location I introduced many new fans but this out at the Webster location was horrible, dirty plates and utensils dinner before appetizer. I've been to Floyd's quite a few times, and I've always had a good experience, except tonight. The food is always good, and tonight was no exception, but I couldn't help noticing that the staff had completely turned over since my last visit a couple of months ago. The service was not good. The hostess was unwilling to seat us on the patio because "it's too hot." It was 7:30 pm, and the sun was going down. I said we really wanted to sit on the patio (it played a large part in my decision to eat there) so she said she would "ask the servers". She came back in a few minutes and said, "No one is willing to serve you on the patio because it's too hot". I'm not ok with that. I think if I'm willing to sit outside, and they have outside seating, some 20 year old waiter should not be able to determine my ability to do so. Our server was very young and not very good. Top of my list in Beaumont! Bar trash is the bomb. The chicken and sausage gumbo is second to none. Great seafood, my crawfish half and half plate was more than I could eat! I almost forgot about the buttered French toast, I could make a meal off that alone! Great atmosphere! I still miss the crawfish platter from the original Don's seafood though I'll take Floyd's as the replacement though, we drive 102 miles from Lufkin twice a month to eat, so it must be pretty darn good! read more
