Most of the other reviewers commented on the fresh, healthy and delicious options that are at Flower Child, so not much more for me to say. I had the "entree", which was the salmon, some brussel sprouts and sweet potatoe. The person that i was dining with had a turkey salad. Both were really good; extremely fresh, well seasoned, balanced flavor profiles. My brussell sprouts could have been better (they should have been cut prior to cooking) and the sweet potatoes were slightly over seasoned/overcooked. However quite a bit of food, and unlike other reviewers, i thought the price quite reasonable for the quality. They are keeping it safe there during covid. i had left my mask at the table and when we were ordering (at the cashier; its not sit down waiter service), a nice hostess came by and gave us free masks to put on (nice way of enforcing mask policies in the restaurant, kudos). After a disappointing Flower Child experience in Denver, I tried the Boulder location and left much happier. I ordered the Glow Bowl with tofu which happily satisfied me. It's a warm salad of shredded cooked veggies and sunflower seeds. With squeezed lime over it, it's both refreshing and comforting at the same time. My mom ordered kale and Brussels sprout salad which we all LOVED. The dressing, which we were told was just a simple apple cider vinaigrette, was absolutely delicious. The combination of grapefruit, sliced grapes and roasted almonds was perfect. Try as I might, I cannot recreate this salad as well!! My sister got a steak bowl and both my dad and her said the steak was high quality and well cooked. Overall the Boulder location was much, much nicer of an experience-- the service was prompt, very friendly, and efficiently and politely checking up on us. My mom and I also enjoyed the pineapple ginger kombucha on tap-- so crisp and scrumptious. read more

Great healthy clean eating choice in Boulder Colorado. Easy to locate in a strip mall with ample safe parking. They could've done a better job clearing the sidewalks of ice and snow. Dining room is moderately loud and very close seating so private conversations aren't really private. Lots of food choices for everyone. Both of us had the Cobb salad. When in Boulder, I've now visited Flower Child on three occasions and clearly I keep returning because I enjoy the experience. I greatly appreciate the variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Getting an entree puts you somewhere between $12-$15 and it's a good amount of food that tastes great and has you properly full. The ambiance is really relaxed too. I've found myself enjoying a meal and either a good conversation or reading a book. It works very well for whatever the experience. Staff is kind and the vibe is just really good. Sometimes there can be an arrogance or too much of a hipster-dom to restaurants like this one but not the case with Flower Child! I've enjoyed it and I'll be back! read more

A few nights ago was the worst experience I've ever had here. I went in at 8:20. There was a family in front of me re-ordering their soup because it was cold. Eventually when I get to the counter the cashier with blonde hair and black glasses says "we're closed, we close at 8:30" I told her I got here before 8:30, I've been in line for 10 minutes. She then rudely asked me "what are you trying to get?" And proceeds to tell me that none of the burners are on and they've closed the entire kitchen already. So I left because they would only serve me cold soup. I don't understand this procedure. The website should really say they close at 8:00 if they won't serve anyone past then. Or lock the doors if you truly are "closed". And don't make me wait in line just for you to tell me you won't serve me. I want to like this place but the service is unreliable & I have a hard time saying so because I do love the chicken enchiladas - if I'm lucky enough to get them sense they are usually sold out. read more

After three visits to this restaurant, I can confirm the food is delicious, but the portions are small. At this place, you order your food at the counter, and they bring it to your table, but not all at once. Your food comes out when it's ready, so not everyone gets their food at the same time. This isn't a problem, unless you want to wait until everyone has their food before anyone starts to eat. Call it bad luck, but each time the same guy has been at the cash register when I order. He's totally distracted by his co-workers and friends in line. He quite possibly is simply ditzy or has impaired his short-term memory thanks to recreational products because my order has been wrong or missing an item during each visit. I'll try Flower Child again but will ask the guy at the register to repeat my order just to be sure. read more

Great use of natural and modern design elements and has indoor and outdoor seating. They play a range of current alternative music. Great for groups or small gatherings and has a walk up order system, so you don't have to worry about splitting checks. Menu has it all. Small plates, bowls, sandwich wraps etc. great balance of dietary needs for everything. Definitely a place you can bring a friend who needs particular restrictions. Though, not nut allergies. The dessert options are more limited, so not necessarily a place for coffee/desserts. Staff are responsive and helpful. They bring the food to your table and clean your dishes up. Kid friendly with a kids menu. Has a changing table in the restrooms. I ordered the heirloom tomato toast which was super tasty. I also got the thai bowl but the thai flavors weren't strong. It was good tasting food, but I ate the bowl confused what flavor I was trying to taste. I also got the cauliflower curry small plate and didn't enjoy the flavors. They use some kind of curry blend that has cinnamon or something sweet in it that is not my favorite flavors. Also for me, the cauliflower was too under done. Otherwise, great experience.
