Being able to see fixtures in person makes all the difference, and their showroom lets you compare options and visualize what will work best for your space. Working with them has been so easy. They genuinely want their customers to be happy, their communication is prompt and considerate of your timelines, and they even try to group shipments together whenever possible to keep shipping free or as affordable as they can. It's rare to find this level of customer service these days. Thank you, Lunaria West!

I went into this store because I am replacing EVERY SINGLE light fixture in a house I just…read morepurchased. I used to live in this neighborhood so was very familiar with the location of this store even though I had never been inside. I decided that I wanted to "shop local" vs purchasing everything online. I have my new kitchen and bathroom designed, the electricians are coming and I am ready to make my selections. I take time from my day to drive over to this place in my old neighborhood. When I arrived, there was another client ahead of me. That was no problem. I wasn't in a hurry as I had set this time aside for this purpose. I was looking around the room and the woman working there asked me what I needed and when I told her, "a lot of lighting" she let me know that she wouldn't be available to help me for 20 minutes or so. I said, that's fine I can wait. Then she asked me if I had made a list of what I needed and what purpose/function I expected from each light fixture. Ummmm. I have a list in my head. I haven't written down a list. I am not a list making type of person but I know my spaces. Then she tells me I need to go home and make a list and come back when I have it because otherwise, I am going to "fall in love" with items out of my budget. Huh?? I was so confused! She had no idea what my budget was. She literally sent thousands of dollars in unsolicited business out the door. This place must not need new clients. That's ok. There are plenty of places that will happily take my money. I walked into an appliance store today and they were thrilled to show me their inventory and assist me in my purchases. It was a stark contrast to my experience at Lunaria. EDIT: To respond to the response. You are not being truthful with what happened. NEVER did you infer that I step out for coffee and come back. I WAS the person who asked for catalogs to look through while waiting and you specifically told me that would be a waste of time without a list. Even your client seemed to pick up on the fact that you were about to lose a customer and she then said, "Here, here are some catalogs if you would like to view them." and that is when I said, "She just said that would be a waste of time and is not her process." If you're going to tell the story, please be honest about what occurred. Super frustrating experience considering I set time aside to come view some lighting and even was very clear that I was in no hurry and didn't mind waiting for you to finish. You made it obvious, you didn't want to speak to me unless I had a list of lighting with what I expected each light to achieve. Those were almost your EXACT words. Not mine. 2nd EDIT: I just saw in your biz description, "Appointments are recommended." This says it all. You could have simply told me, "I would love to help you but it sounds like you have a big project that will be time consuming and I will need you to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, it would be helpful for my process if you make a list..." That would have been much more productive instead of coming across as dismissive and patronizing. As for misrepresenting what occurred, there really is no excuse for that.

I was greeted by a dazzling array of ornaments, cozy throws, and elegant table settings. It's a great time to shop too--we walked into a few holiday sales and that made our holiday purse strings happy. Ever year we love how each section of the store offers endless inspiration for holiday gatherings and home decor. Honestly, with so many charming pieces to choose from, it's no wonder I left with a little extra sparkle! Service: welcoming staff.

While I was there and saw they had more of the same items (duvet & shams), I bought another set. When I got home, I realized the colors where not working with my wall color. I went to process a return, but was told that since I purchased 1/2 the order in a store, I had to drive back to the store to return that set, but I could mail back the set I purchased online but picked up in the store! No where in their return policy on line does it state that you can ONLY return items purchased in a store, back to a store. Now I am out over $600. With California gas prices the way they are (if you know you know), I am not going to drive 4 hours round trip to return 1/2 the items. I have been a card holder and shopper of Pottery Barn for many many years. But this experience has me now questioning whether to continue to purchase from them ever.

One of the women working there made us especially uncomfortable--she kept following us around and watching us as if we were stealing. There was no smile, no greeting, and overall just a very unfriendly atmosphere. When I mentioned at the end that a more welcoming attitude toward customers would go a long way, she seemed completely indifferent. Update: The experience got worse--the staff didn't even bother to properly wrap a candle, and by the time I got home, it was already broken. After reading other reviews on Yelp, I realized this doesn't seem like a one-off situation. Many others have had similar experiences, which makes it seem like this kind of unwelcoming behavior is a pattern.

We live in the neighborhood and love supporting our local businesses, but the few times I have been in this store left me wondering why I even try supporting a business that clearly doesn't want me shopping there. Today was the last time I will ever step foot in this store again. No greeting, just a hand reaching for the merchandise I was trying to buy. No thank you, either. Seriously, why have a shop if you can't be bothered offering any kind of basic customer service? People wonder why brick and mortar stores are dying...well, this is the reason.

I had a great experience here. I did a return, and also browsed their sale section, which was quite expansive. There was a whole room full of tops, and two racks of jeans. There were even more random sale items throughout the store, not in the sale section. I was quite surprised. I waited in line twice, once to return, and once to buy my jeans. Neither wait was long at all - just one person ahead of me, quite quick. Not only that, but they seemed displeased to even see a customer there and it wasn't even closing time. Considering how quiet and empty the store has been lately (at least during weekdays when I've gone), management should consider the types of folks they are hiring, and also not make the entire main floor look like bland denim central. The giant PILCRO sign and just the overwhelm of all the denim, and overpriced products (for cheap polyester quality) and lack of tester-opportunities of the perfumes (no perfume tester papers even to spray the perfume on--but instead MINI SAMPLE PERFUMES FOR PURCHASE, WTF) it's like this store is wanting to go out of business.
