Close to 2 years ago I came in to return/exchange a gift I got from the store, and she seemed disappointed/irritated that I would want to return or exchange something from her store. I also didn't realize it was an hour till closing and as I was browsing she was following me around the store impatiently (I didn't ask her to help me pick out anything) and just responding shortly to anything I glanced at or picked up. After maybe 10 minutes of that she finally said "sorry we are closing in a hour, so unless you plan on buying something I can give u a gift receipt." She then created the gift receipt manually on some receipt form and the whole time is condescendingly telling me that they have NO digital records of any store transactions so i better not lose this receipt, okay? And I better come back in soon to buy something and not wait forever. The entire interaction just made me feel small for no reason at all.

If she could not do something nice for the budget I would have been much happier just walking away with the ranunculus.

Especially on the weekends, there seem to be more customers than parking spaces. Plus since there is only one way in and out, and the street has no designated turn lane, it causes a bottleneck on entering and exiting. Heck it even takes awhile to walk from the parking lot into the shop because the cars just don't seem to want to stop for pedestrians. Too busy jockeying for a space.

I said, that's fine I can wait. Then she asked me if I had made a list of what I needed and what purpose/function I expected from each light fixture. Ummmm. I have a list in my head. I haven't written down a list. I am not a list making type of person but I know my spaces. Then she tells me I need to go home and make a list and come back when I have it because otherwise, I am going to "fall in love" with items out of my budget. Huh?? I was so confused! She had no idea what my budget was. She literally sent thousands of dollars in unsolicited business out the door. This place must not need new clients. That's ok. There are plenty of places that will happily take my money. I walked into an appliance store today and they were thrilled to show me their inventory and assist me in my purchases. It was a stark contrast to my experience at Lunaria. EDIT: To respond to the response. You are not being truthful with what happened. NEVER did you infer that I step out for coffee and come back. I WAS the person who asked for catalogs to look through while waiting and you specifically told me that would be a waste of time without a list. Even your client seemed to pick up on the fact that you were about to lose a customer and she then said, "Here, here are some catalogs if you would like to view them." and that is when I said, "She just said that would be a waste of time and is not her process." If you're going to tell the story, please be honest about what occurred. Super frustrating experience considering I set time aside to come view some lighting and even was very clear that I was in no hurry and didn't mind waiting for you to finish. You made it obvious, you didn't want to speak to me unless I had a list of lighting with what I expected each light to achieve. Those were almost your EXACT words. He was very patient with me and pulled out a variety of leather samples to show me and talked about what size chair that works for me. Having actual floor samples helped me understand what worked and what didn't. Tom was extremely helpful in my case. I highly recommend you see for yourself. Customer service was friendly and far from the negative reviews. I do have to say that the negative reviews were directed at a specific person who was not there when I visited.
