I immediately set 2 items down and asked ok how about these 2 items he responded with $ 45 each i asked would you consider $ 50 for the pair ? a fair price as I buy and sell for a living. the owners response and I quote " i would rather set them on fire then accept that price !! " mind you he made no mention of any sale and it was quite obvious that inspight of closing his shop forever within the next hour he had no intention of selling a dam thing !! My appointment was on a day that the store was closed. My purses were taken at the door - I was not invited in to discuss which purses were wanted or the selling prices. I was not given an opportunity to withdraw the purses if I felt the selling prices were too low. I was never given an inventory of what they kept or the prices. Security isn't great - when I went to pickup the 3 purses that went unsold, only 2 were located - the third was apparently shoplifted. The owner was unsympathetic and unconcerned.

Yes, it's consignment so it's catch as catch can, but I can't remember the last time I went into either a thrift or consignment store and bought more than one item, if I bought anything at all. With Lola's it's a different story, I ended up putting items back because I was having too much fun, but didn't want to buy too many things -I only have a finite amount of space after all. I will definitely be back anytime I happen to be in the Fairfax area, which unfortunately is not that often.
