Update: I meant 'Shara' not 'Julie' in my review! I've been here many times and it's always been a good experience. She was super sweet to my little daughter and gifted her a crystal - just becuase! read more

I cannot rave about this store enough and am surprised to see the bad reviews. They are so attentive to detail, willing to work with customers to find exactly what Is needed and they are just pillars of the community. Shara is incredibly sweet and the prices are fantastic for the quality and for being in Marin. Will continue shopping here always. Thank you for being a staple in San Anselmo! read more

Shara Randall is truly a bad person who is unfit to run this business. I would very much so like to see Reflections succeed as a small local business and be in operation for many decades to come - but with a person like Shara operating the shop I cannot see that being a possibility. You'll see below this review countless stories about this woman doing anything but creating a rapport with a customer. She yells at them, curses at them, belittles them and tries to create a narrative where her time is so precious that you should feel obligated to buy one of her little $20 pieces of "jewelry" that is not only cheap in price but also in taste. If every bad review here is just an example of a tiny slice of what it must be like to be around Shara as a *customer* I can only imagine what it's like to know her personally. From the amount of people she has driven away from her shop and inspired to write a warning about Shara's unhinged temper, I have to believe that she's allergic to success...the amount of unsold junk and price gouging only confirms this opinion. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else to buy a ring, bracelet, necklace etc - literally a 25¢ vending machine would be friendlier experience. read more

I am still in shock; I had my stomach turned and a headache after being SCREAMED at from the top of the her lungs asking me to get out of the store, because I mentioned her crystal was on the expensive side. She was extremely abusive and I can't believe this is okay, that there's no law that protects customers from such abuse. Sad this store is part of my beautiful neighborhood. I am very disappointed. read more

Shara did an amazing job on creating a necklace for me to showcase a piece of jade I was given. My neighbor had shown me some jewelry pieces Shara had upcycled for her and I was so impressed, I knew I had to meet Shara. She was easy to work with and finished the necklace ahead of schedule. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend! read more

After visiting Reflections for the final time a couple of months ago, I have felt a sense of responsibility to write a review warning potential customers that "the customer is NOT always right" at Reflections in San Anselmo. Buying jewelry is a very personal decision, and you would think that a jewelry store owner would know this better than anyone. However, as I now see from several previous reviews, my incredibly disturbing encounter with Shara, the Reflections owner, was sadly not unique. I went into Reflections to exchange a gift ring and after maybe 10 minutes, Shara began getting impatient and telling me in a very angry voice that she had spent a lot of time with me, that she has rent to pay, and that she'd accept a return, but I should take my business elsewhere after this! I live nearby the store and love the idea of supporting local businesses, but I have never experienced such shockingly bad behavior from a business in my life. This treatment was completely unprovoked and inappropriate. This woman doesn't seem to appreciate the importance of promoting goodwill for her business, and really doesn't deserve the support of local patrons. I can appreciate that most of the Yelp reviewers have had smooth transactions and therefore wrote positive reviews. But if you are looking for a jewelry store, there are lots of other stores in Marin to choose from, and I strongly suggest that you not pick a store with the well documented possibility of being treated rudely and offensively if things don't go the way the owner wants. I can tell you for sure that I will accept Shara's advice and take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Now the shop goes by just Reflections, but it is still the same family business that is a part of our trusted community. There are too few left - gone to online sales, chain stores, or malls. I have limited resources, but Reflections has something for everyone's taste and scope and always fits my needs. The displays themselves are artfully done and since it feels good inside the shop, I could just wander for a long time and still not see it all. Shara is 'us' and is naturally warm and friendly and goes out of her way to meet your imaginings and wishes. She has always exceeded my highest expectations. We all need to remember that it doesn't takes tons of money for something beautiful and special for ourselves or for someone we care about. Thank you Shara for your heart and art. read more

The most unique beautiful power jewelry you've ever seen. it's magical. I believe that stones are magical in and of themselves. They are a creation of the earth with a specific crystalline structure that often matches crystalline structures of the body and as such the have the capacity to transmute and channel our own energy. The jewelry at Crystal Reflections honors the sacredness of each stone by matching it with other stones and a setting that match its energetic signature. The jewelry is fairly priced for the quality of the stones and settings and there are pieces from $30 - $3,000+. Please go and enjoy this lovely space. read more

This is my very first 1-star Yelp review. I write it to try to save other customers from the awful experience I just had. The owner of this store was outrageously angry and rude to me over nothing. You'll find three other Yelp reviews saying the same. The owner appears to have a serious anger issue which erupts all over the customer when some small issue crops up. Seriously, skip this store, there are plenty of other good jewelry shops. Here is my experience. I bought an inexpensive ring as a present for my niece. The owner was nice enough during the process. About an hour later I decided it wasn't the right ring for my niece and came back to return it. I was a little embarrassed, but it had to be done. The owner started to process my return but was very very angry. She said she spend a lot of time with me buying a $20 ring and that I need to be more considerate of people's time. (It was 10 min max and tell me, why does the price matter? Does a customer buying a less expensive item deserve less service?) She said, "You came in laughing, as if it's funny. It's not funny, it's BULLSHIT!". I was shocked. I wasn't laughing, it was a smile of embarrassment. And all of this fury over the return of a small item I bought an hour ago! I ended up just keeping the ring - not worth the crazy. Now that I know this is the third story about the owner's anger issues I see this is not a one-time, "having a bad day" thing, but common behavior for her. How many others have experienced her rudeness and not Yelped about it? Listen, I run a small business too. I understand a transaction like mine can be annoying. But it's very, very small stuff. And dealing with annoying customer service issues is literally part of the job description. I believe a business can be judged by how they handle problems that come up. With grace, patience and professionalism? Or with irritation devolving into cursing and hostility? Take your business elsewhere. You do NOT want to deal with the toxic miasma this lady will spew all over you should anything come up, And remember, you never know when something will. read more

Dazzling array of gems and stones in creative and beautiful designs. You can look around this store for hours and see jewelry like nowhere else. They even carry elaborate mardi gras masks. Decisions are tough but with the owners and staff being some of the friendliest people in Marin you will never feel pressured. read more

I have been going to Crystal Reflections (Reflections now) since the late 80's. They have a beautiful selection of unique (not cookie cutter) jewelry and amazing gems. My boyfriend had a custom platinum ring made there that they helped him design at a great price. People keep saying how expensive they are- if you compare with other jewelry stores, they are right in there. I was reminded about how awesome they are recently when I lost the screw back to my diamond earring studs. Shara was able to find one that fit and order in the white gold for me. She also repaired my own (not purchased from them) necklace at a VERY minimal fee. It's so nice, with all the businesses that come and go in Marin, to see them still in business and doing great. I will always go there first when buying jewelry. Great little places on that street for lunch too :-) read more

Had a hideous experience at the Reflections Jewelry store (former Crystal Reflections). Came in with a request for a custom design for bracelet and talked to the owner Shara. Started explaining to her what I wanted, but she kept on saying that this is wrong and won't work; I started asking questions trying to understand her ideas and suggestions and she literally exploded with anger. Spitting out saliva and turning red in the face she screamed "i have been doing it for years! I have customers from all over California who come in every week! I do it all for only 15 dollars! You can't understand what I am telling you! I don't need customers like you!" In the end she actually said again and again "fuck you lady" and showed one middle finger then two middle fingers. I am shocked appalled offended horrified... What else can I say. read more

This is one of my favorite places in the Bay Area! I will go there from wherever I might be, to see their beautiful custom made jewelry, and talk with Shara about pieces that I want to change, or create, or repair. The store is pure magic, and it's great to get there when the dogs are there too! Shara is super talented, creative, and innovative! LOVE!!!!! read more

I have always loved Reflections. Years before I got married, I mentioned to a friend that someday I would get my ring there...It was a fantasy for me, that finally came true! The family who owns the store are the nicest and most helpful. the selection and beauty of everything is dazzling....and so artful and unusual~~ One must see this store to appreciate~~ read more

I have never written a bad review and feel sad to do so now. Shara, the owner, should not be in customer service with her behavior. Originally she had been so sweet and she had agreed to help me to recreate my wedding ring. When we went to pick it up we noticed that the new gold "basket" that was holding the stone did not match the original gold on the ring at all. When we questioned this and asked about getting it to match properly (we would have even paid more to have this happen), she proceeded to yell at and berate my partner. Who does that?? I wish she had just said no. But to yell at a customer? She did refund us and took back her basket, which I appreciate. read more

Beautiful jewelry, helpful and knowledgeable staff, good prices for great quality. Wide range of styles and prices.

I am a Marin resident for several decades and in those years I have had good experiences getting stones set at Reflections, (but then I dealt with a man, not a woman). Still, when it came time to find a ring setting for a stone, I naturally thought to go back to Reflections. Had I known that on the day I was to pick up and pay for my custom work that I would be standing outside her shop describing how she--the owner--had physically assaulted me to the responding policemen--summoned by the retired officer who responded to my cries for "HELP" and saved me--I never would have gone into her establishment. This female owner turned from smiling and nice--as many describe--into angry and abusive--as many others also describe--and then proceeded to attempt to force the ring--with the stone I gave her to have set--from my hand, leading to a prolonged physical struggle, and my crying out several times for "HELP." I am still shaken by the aggression and rudeness I experienced. I feel I need warn those not knowing her anger can and does turn into physical assault to think twice before entering her store. I had complimented her on the setting she chose for me; but that day she even held that against me. The other ring that needed a stone set had been returned to me before the physical assault. Today, I found a jeweler to set the stone at 1/3 the price she had demanded. I note that she had also jacked up the price from that written on the tag I received and the call informing me it was ready. When I produced the tag showing the quotation was $40 less than what she was then demanding over the phone, she began kvetching about her overhead. This woman is an already lit firecracker and just because she was nice to you before does not guarantee she will be the next time you interact with her. There, now you are forewarned. I end by questioning how she still has a license to do business. Am I the only one failing to file charges for assault and battery? In the end, she refused payment and I left with my ring. However she stated (through the cop talking to her) that should I ever return she would report it as "trespassing." Stupid I am not; so, I will not be returning, period. I do not wish this experience on anyone. read more

Reflections is wonderful. They were so warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. When I came in with many family jewelry pieces they spent the time with me to research and understand what we had in our family. They believe jewelry is part of the story of life and I couldn't agree more. It's not about value but about the memory that follows each piece. So true! They added a charm to my charm bracelet without charging me and said just keep coming in when you want to purchase jewelry. Little did they know that that charm was a memory of my bro who based away to brain cancer late last year. They carried on his spirit! It's a fantastic small business and their customer service is outstanding. We are lucky you are here in San Anselmo. Thank you Reflections! read more

I absolutely adore this jewelry store and all the lovely people that run this business. I have gotten so many beautiful special pieces . I was never really that into jewelry...(gold hoops and funky bracelets pretty much did it for me) but this has been a great place to learn - and I now can add lapis, tourmaline, carnelian, citrine (to name a few) to my repertoire. I always have so much fun stopping in to play... (leave plenty of time to take it all in.) Great for gifts - and the staff was super helpful in making suggestions. I've taken some of my old costume jewelry in as well to try to figure out how to bring it back to life. Highly recommend this store. read more

Shara is awesome! I came in and she helped me take a meaningful stone that I had waited six years to find and turn it into a beautiful ring. Several other jewelers said it could not be done but Shara made it happen! She is a talented, great soul, committed to excellence and completely upfront. Anyone who writes otherwise is ignorant. read more

It's a family business that's been in San Anselmo for a long time. They do beautiful, quality work of their own, or help to design your own and they will repair anything. They have done many things for me over the years, including an engagement ring that I treasure. I have never felt rushed or pressured to go over my budget. They really are great folks. read more

Best on all levels ~ Quality, kindness: generations of beauty brought to our community with excellent customer service.

I had an old, but beautiful unique piece of costume jewelry (necklace with multiple chains), that broke in multiple pieces. Someone on Next Door referred me to Reflections in San Anselmo. It's a very quaint little store downtown. The folks there were super friendly/helpful and on the spot, put the pieces back together for me. It cost me almost nothing and was one of those great experiences where someone did something nice, just because. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the mood to buy something unique for myself or a friend! read more

I am a local and this store has been my go-to place for unique, creative, and affordable beautiful jewelry for decades. The most difficult part of this experience is choosing just one item. This is a family business and each customer is treated like family. Shara is very attuned to each person, gently asking a few appropriate questions to match the perfect item to what you are seeking. These pieces are not 'things' but gems that speak your heart like a wearable song. I would love to keep this place as a local secret, but that would not be in the spirit of Crystal Reflections. read more

I've been a customer of this wonderful, artistic, creative family for 20 years, and my husband even longer. Their jewelry is gorgeous, and there is no better customer service in Marin. Shara is just wonderful. I want to laugh at the notion that Shara would laugh at a customer, or that she is capable of berating anyone. She is gentle and kind, and in fact, she has bent over backwards over the years to accommodate me, my husband, and my two daughters. I'll shop there as long as they have merchandise and open doors. read more

I don't normally write these Yelp reviews, but felt I needed to after reading the 6/5/14 posting from a negative reviewer. I live in the northern end of Santa Rosa, and wouldn't think to go anywhere else for the most original, beautiful creations that Crystal Reflections offers to their customers. My husband has been a customer for over 25 years, myself now for 12 years, and our soon to be 4year old adores her bracelets created by them. Shara and her staff go above and beyond to ensure every experience is special, and each customer, new or not, is treated with the same respect you would expect to receive. To read words from someone saying that Shara "yelled" at them brings me to laughter, because we would never hold such a relationship with an establishment for all these years if it were owned by someone of that description, nor refer all of our friends and family to her. There is no way a business located in that specific area would last as long as she has if that truly was the case. All I can say is just to see for yourself......you'll fall in love with them as we did. read more
