Their main businesses are estate evaluations and high-end jewelry sales and repairs. Jeff is a certified Master Jeweler and watch repair maven! Janet also has developed her personally designed line of women's fashion and skin creams that are on display and available in the shop. In every instance, their work and their inventory is always a notch above what anyone might have reasonably hoped for in a small town shop. Big job or small, big sale or not, their attitude, professionalism and work product is categorically outstanding. The ring in the photo has been resized there 5 times! Right in downtown Fairfax. The jewelry was inspected but not weighed, and the price quoted was probably 1/4 of what I received from other places. They criticized the ring and initially told me it was chipped, which it was not, and said the time and cost to cut a simple gold chain would be high and take a long time. Based on the customer experience, I would never go back. Take your time and shop around, as there are a lot of better options, including The Gold Drop in San Rafael, and Prince in Sausalito, both of which excelled at customer service and provided much better pricing.

The woman behind the counter spent a good hour very patiently working to untie all of the knots in those chains. I stayed and watched so that I could learn how to do it and to witness the miraculous unraveling of those gold threads. She never complained or lost focus. I expected some kind of per hour charge but there was no charge! Just a gracious and patient woman who was happy to solve the puzzle.

The storefront looks small from the street, but once you go inside there are thousands of frames to choose from including hard to find brands. My wife was looking for unique-looking frames that you normally don't find at big retailers, and David was great about offering suggestions and pulling different styles for her to try based on what she liked and what fit her face well. He also explained what looked best for her face shape and never made us feel rushed. David also worked with us and our insurance to help get the best price on both the frames and the prescription lenses. Picking glasses can be overwhelming, especially for my wife, but David made the process easy and enjoyable. My wife ended up with frames she absolutely loves. Again, I went online to buy the belt at a lower price than I would have paid at the store. I will return to the store to browse for brands but will buy elsewhere until the customer service is comparable to the quality of the merchandise.
