    Avocado toast topped with kimchi

Floressa is a chic little coffee shop located on the corner of 33rd street. An old house turned storefront. The decor is so welcoming. I've been eating their zucchini brownies for a year now and never had the chance to stop in. They sell baked goods at local rising stars as well. I got a cold brew and avocado toast. Oh em gee the avocado toast is amazing. Nice fresh slice of bread topped with avocado, Himalayan salt and kimchi. Probiotic as a lovely topping. They have a ton of gluten free items available. They are primarily vegan as well. I will def be visiting again when in the area.

This bakery is truly a hidden gem! Nestled on a corner inside a quiet neighborhood, this house converted to a shop is a local favorite. By 8am this morning, most of the treats were already gone! They were restocking just as I was heading out. This shows how popular their items are! Desserts range from cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and muffins. I love that they always have a few vegan items and GF too! I finally settled on a vegan zucchini brownie, which was delicious!! They also serve coffee and other packaged snacks and drinks. A cute place to sit and enjoy a treat while you get some work done or meet with friends. There are a few tables for two and free wifi. They even have a little section for children's seating. Very cute! A restroom is also available. While there is no parking lot, look for street parking in the surrounding area. The staff is friendly and I can't wait to come back to try more of the desserts or maybe even order a vegan cake! Stop by and support this local business. I can't say enough positive things about them! Floressa you rock!

Delicious quiche w spinach and some sort of squash. All cookies were delicious- from cocoa flavored double chocolate to tasty unique tahini marshmallow. All cookies were expensive at around $3.50 per though!

Quintessential coffee shop vibes!! This spot is super cute and aesthetic with seasonal lattes to choose from! The staff were super friendly. Limited seating though, probably around 10 seats total. Highly recommend their cinnamon rolls, super gooey and soft!

What's not to love about this coffee shop ! From the aesthetics , to the coffee , to the tasty treats! All 5 stars from me ! I got an iced chai which was great and they had oat milk which I love ! And then I got hummus toast which was all so fresh tasting . They had tons of gluten free and vegan treats (like cinnamon rolls , muffins , etc.) . The style was so dainty and cute ! All in all worth a trip to check it out !

I have been buying Floressa cookies for a couple of years and was excited that they opened a brick and mortar. I created a New Years goal of trying one "new to me" coffee shop a month and about two months ago I finally tried Floressa. I absolutely love that it is tucked into a neighborhood. There was plenty of street parking when I went, and it was very easy to find. The inside of the shop has a very cozy feeling and has lots of windows that allows a lot of sunlight to come through. I ordered a blueberry cold foam cold brew that was topped with freeze dried blueberries. I loved everything about it. The flavor was wonderful, and I love that the syrups are all made in house. Floressa has been added to my coffee shop rotation.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem. Randomly located but ohh so cute and adorable inside. What attention to detail with the feminine chic decor. It's trendy and causal. I love that there is a kids corner. We really enjoyed the house made syrups in the lattes. Not too sweet. I also love the foam art in the drinks. My favorite was the pistachio latte which is seasonal.

I tried one of the Egyptian dishes - kushery ($18) - and it was delicious! If you are vegetarian…read moreand/or have vegetarian friends, I highly recommend this dish. Even as a regular eater of meat, I found this dish so satisfying and filling. In case you don't know, kushery is a whole load of carbs; the dish has rice, macaroni, lentils, a slightly spicy tomato sauce, garlic vinegar, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions. The whole mixture altogether was so tasty, and I would totally get this again. I also ordered the hibiscus punch ($6), which was refreshing and not too sweet. And even though I already had a bunch of carbs with the kushery, I got the Egyptian bread pudding ($8), which was very different from the bread pudding I typically see at restaurants around here. It consisted of toasted croissant pieces that were soaked in a creamy sweet milk; the dessert also came with a bunch of nuts, raisins, and whipped cream. It wasn't as rich or sweet as other kinds of bread pudding I've had, but it was still a tasty dessert. The service was a little slow, so I wouldn't suggest dining in here if you need to get a quick meal. But the food was good, and the staff was friendly, so if you have time for a relaxed meal, give the restaurant a try. Note - there were some slight price discrepancies between the menu and final receipt for my drink and dessert, but I know prices are really volatile in these crazy times, and the price discrepancies were small.

The great reviews, high rating, and photos really sealed the deal. Any coffee shop with that much greenery is going to catch my attention. I had to give them a try. I arrived around 10 am, found a free parking spot right across the street, and was able to place my order and grab a seat just before a big rush of people came in. Seriously, within 20 minutes the place was packed. And it didn't take long for me to understand why. The feeling of community was contagious. From the local art on the walls and free board games to the cozy seating and friendly staff, this place was totally my vibe. I was able to connect to their free wifi with ease and got a lot of work done while I was there. Now, I'm always a sucker for seasonal latte and the Honey Snow Melt did just the trick. In a nutshell it was a salted honey pistachio latte (I got it with oat milk) and it was creamy with a very subtle flavor. I was really into it. I also grabbed a bagel, which was pretty basic, but it was just what I needed to hold me over until lunch. Throw in the friendly service and it's no wonder this place is a winner. Until next time...

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

White walls, glass windows in front, a few things hung on the walls. Not fancy, but pleasant. Very clean. The food is phenomenal. I've been dreaming about their biscuits and gravy since my last visit. Still perfect. The home fry-style potatoes are what a lot of places try to serve but fail at miserably. They are crispy AND fluffy! Yum! My scrambled eggs were not at all greasy or oily. My iced tea was delicious and refreshing. My lovely wife had the chorizo hash, which I tried. Oh, my. So good. And the chipotle crema on top was just perfect. They have excellent diner coffee here as well. My service experience was immaculate the first time and just OK today. He was fine initially, but I feel like he kind of forgot about us after he checked on our food. We were stuck way in the back. Maybe he was on a break, which is fine. I spent time as a waiter in two different restaurants, so I'm sympathetic, but I did not get a drink refill, and I wanted one pretty badly. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and it feels like a hidden gem.
