I went to Flora thinking it was a plant-based/vegan friendly restaurant based on its name. I was very disappointed to find out all plates has either dairy or egg or both which I can't consume. The only option I had was the avocado toast removing the egg and cheese of which was just ok nothing special for $20. The decaf oat milk latte was good and a good size, the side of potatoes (this is an extra cost not included with toast) didn't really have much flavor. The place is very nice beautifully decorated and good music gives it a nice vibe. Overall I will not be returning as a plant-based customer. read more

Great food, vibe, service. Definitely going back. I had the pancakes which were yummy little soufflés with peaches and toasted almonds. My wife' had the French toast, an individual loaf with berry compote. Juices were spot on. The server even brought extra napkins, without my asking. After many aesthetically pleasing videos on my feed highlighting this spot, I decided to finally make my way over and check Flora Plant Kitchen. I came in on a Saturday morning to enjoy a sip of coffee and a post workout energizing breakfast and received just that. I ordered the golden tumeric latte - highly recommended, filled with flavor, dates, cardamom, ashwagandha, vanilla bean, and black pepper. We also ordered the Sunrise Breakie Bowl; with sunny side ups, grilled halloumi, avo and toast -- it was the perfect addition to fuel my morning. This is an interesting addition to the Miami food scene as sit-down vegetarian restaurants are few and far between. While many plant based restaurants these days are focused on vegan faux-meat dishes (which can be great), the dishes here really focus on beautifully charred vegetables with fresh/simple ingredients otherwise. While eggs and dairy are on the menu, I think they are used very intelligently and there are vegan options/versions if you're on a fully plant-based diet. As far as ambiance, the inside is cozy with an organic modern style while the outdoors has resort vibes with a bamboo covered area that kept us dry in the rain. The servers all seemed enthusiastic about the food and knew the tight menu very well. Everything is on the pricey side, but comes on gorgeous dishes with elegant plating. The veggie tartare was fresh and appetizing. The black risotto was the best risotto I've ever had (sorry Italy). The mushroom & mash dish had incredible depth of flavor. And the pavlova was such a bright and addictive way to finish the meal. I encourage you to give it a try, vegetarian or otherwise! read more
