Warm, friendly, attentive - the ability to make customers feel welcome and wanted in our store, even when we are somewhat short staffed. It's important to greet people in your store or get to them as fast as you can. Find a way to let them know you're grateful they showed up to support your business. It's hard to wait on more than one person at a time, but this is NOT the case at McDhurries. I left after spending *OVER AN HOUR* with NO ASSISTANCE OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Very frustrated and angry, I called my decorator who said they no longer use McDhurries for teh same reason - there is a man there that is the most offensive and awful person to speak to. ***BOTTOM LINE: I will never go back there. A shame since I have just finished remodeling and needed many rugs for my home.

They have MANY options in many styles, sizes, and prices. A man named Thome greeted us and took time to understand what we were looking for. Despite our tight budget, he never made us feel out of place, in fact he assured us that we could find something. He was right. When we found a rug we thought we liked, he encouraged us to take it home and try it out for free. He loaded the rug into our car and off we went. When I called back a few days later to tell him we loved the rug and would be keeping it, he remembered us right away and took care of everything over the phone. We felt scammed because timing was very important to us, but had to proceed despite feeling the owner was dishonest. The crew that was sent to install (Tim and Giovanni) was unprofessional and made a lot of mistakes. It got to a point where we felt uncomfortable with them in our home. When they did show up, we caught one of the workers laying on our new carpet and rolling around. When we brought up the issues to the owner and installation manager (and sent proof), they did not seem to care. It seemed as if this was normal for them. Any solutions were brought up by us and no solutions were provided by the company. We even had to point out a lot of mistakes that were made that the installation manager missed. At one point, we had to facilitate getting our carpet to our home because one of the workers wanted to leave and we had to do the labor of carrying the carpet into our home. When we finally got another crew out, they were confused about why our project took 7 days when they said they could have it completed in 2. At the end, when discussing with the owner, we felt he was he acted rude, aggressive, and condescending. The dishonesty and lack of communication throughout the process was the worst we've experienced through 5 years of home improvements. An actual quote from the owner was, "I only care about the numbers." After fighting with them for a week, the end product is acceptable but not as expected or worth the price. This company does not care about the job they do, they say themselves they only care about the numbers.

The sales rep arrive and quoted me a price of $6000 for carpet and LVP. I was offered a lower price by their competitor but they decided to match it. The day they were to install the LVP, my husband was home and I was at work. I came home to VINYL glued down "I thought you changed your mind". Beside them changing my order (I didn't catch the change in a barrage of emails they sent-my fault I was selling my rental as well during this time) they left glue all over the flooring. They did not replace my base boards as promised. This was first wk of April 2026. I am still getting glue off the floor. They left gaps where the vinyl was suppose to lay next to the wall. There are bubbles. I did not authorize them to take the remaining balance but they did anyway. They have lied to me, cheated me and stole my money. The one rep said "I see where you were looking at the LVP. If you want this it will cost an additional $2000". Needless to say, I'm not paying extra. Just fix the flooring and make it presentable. The floor installation took a dive, when the installer ran out of material and floor. A job that was promised to be completed took 5 months, reschedule, lack of material, poor installation, slow and to top it off the installer smell of Marijuana. Making a complaint was difficult, I kept putting in tickets for Empire to keep sending the same in installer and I could not cancel because the had already charge my card. I would NEVER recommend Empire to family or friends.
