We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area, and our showroom is in Rocky River on Center Ridge Rd.
We also remodel basements and attics, and we do a lot of custom tilework and carpentry--custom ceilings, wainscoting, shiplap, benches, closets, built-ins, etc. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, and we run our own electrical and plumbing divisions and pull all permits in-house. We can do basic architectural layouts or 3D renderings.

History
Established in 2014.
In 2014, we started Big Bear Remodeling as a bath remodeling company, and we quickly evolved into a full service remodeling company taking on kitchens, additions, decks, porches, whole-house remodels, and commercial work. We opened our first office in Parma, Ohio, and we more than doubled in size that year despite growing pangs and a tough market.
In 2015, we moved our office to Rocky River, Ohio. It was tiny but it allowed us to grow.
In 2016, we started Big Bear Plumbing & Electrical, our own mechanical divisions.
In 2018, we completed the build-out on our new showroom and warehouse in Rocky River.
In 2019, we were recognized by Remodeling Magazine as one the of Top 50 Remodelers in the United States.
In 2020, we started focusing more on interior residential remodels, where our custom carpenters, tile setters, painters and finishers really shine. We still do some exterior work and commercial work, but kitchens, bathrooms, basements and attics are where we excel.
Meet the Business Owner: Rob Y.
I proudly served in the US Army Reserves, starting while in my junior year of high school. I hold degrees in philosophy and psychology from Kent State, and I try to incorporate my military and educational backgrounds in my approach to business.
We try to center on organization and communication, and we have an employee-based model instead of subcontractors. We focus on quality work. Period. We don't skip steps. We take pride in our craft.
While we can work on any home from any period, we do work on a lot of older homes in Lakewood, Rocky River, and surrounding cities. We are very comfortable with century homes, plaster and lathe, knob and tube wiring, balloon framing and the settling and structural issues that arise from these older, but beautiful homes. We will work with your theme and design, but we do like to try to stay true to the quality of the home and the materials we use.
