Great place. Eclectic selection of stuff. Amazing prices. I went for heart pine flooring and they had 100 year old stock to use. Fantastic

I highly recommend Damian Johnson as my go-to general contractor for anybody looking to get work…read moredone on their house. He has outstanding workmanship, reliability, and efficiency. Damian completed our luxury bathroom additions from scratch, converted our basement into a recreation room, added several bedrooms, installed appliances, electricals, and plumbing, and crafted a beautiful porch, all within the agreed timeline and budget. Damian is a great contractor if you are trying to do a flip or even just renovate your home to look more luxurious or more "homey." Damian's craftsmanship is exceptional, with great attention to detail and expertise. He flawlessly executed our vision while solving many complicated issues with my houses. His reliability is his biggest strength in my opinion, consistently arriving on time and ensuring smooth project progress. Damian's efficiency ensured timely completion without unnecessary delays. Damian has a keen eye for aesthetics, seamlessly incorporating our preferences into visually appealing and functional spaces that exceeded our expectations. Damian's commitment to staying within budget was impressive. He provided detailed estimates and maintained transparency throughout the entire process. With his reliable work ethic, efficient approach, and attention to aesthetics, Damian is the ideal choice for any housing project.

This is looong overdue and well deserved. I had contacted a couple of companies I liked from their…read morepics and reviews and Damian was the first one to respond, almost immediately. After talking to him and explaining my time limit and everything, he said he could do it so I hired him on the spot. Our projected start date was originally June 1st, but didn't start until June 12th due to change orders at other jobs they were busy with. Ryan was the lead on my project and they were a pleasure to work with. In the end we had a mishap with Lowes and a couple of things that Mike came out and fixed, but in the end we got our beautiful little bathroom remodel, I've referred Damian's info to a few people, and would definitely work with Damian, Ryan, Mike, and again.

I warn anyone against using this company. Morewood was recommended by a family member who flips…read morehouses. He has used Morewood (I think Morewood is mostly just a one-guy operation, Chris) successfully several times. The price was fair (not cheap) and his customer services was great so we decided to order our custom cabinets from him. We give him a $4400 deposit and were were told the custom cabinets would take approximately 3-4 weeks arrive. We informed him that time was important because we were living with my father-in-law until the kitchen was completed in our new house. At 3 weeks we called and he said the cabinets should arrive the following week. At four weeks we called and he said should arrive the next week. At five weeks, we started to get a little worried when we didn't hear from him. We started calling. It took him days to get back to us. Again he told us the cabinets would be in next week. He told us something was wrong with his supplier. We were somewhat lenient at this point because this was happening during superstorm Sandy, which we knew might slow things down. At six weeks, we started calling almost every day. He wouldn't return our phone calls. We started to get very worried when he stopped returning our calls. We told him that a $4400 deposit guaranteed us at least a phone day daily (after 4 weeks) to let us know what's going on with our cabinets. After no phone calls, we finally left him a message that if he didn't call us back that day we would assume that there were no cabinets and we were calling our credit card company to get our deposit back. He called us back that evening and told us the cabinets were going to be in the next week--now 7 weeks after we ordered them. He told us for our trouble he would have someone deliver them. The cabinets were delivered after 7 weeks (although the delivery guy said he could only carry to front door, which was strange). However, upon arrival we noticed SERIOUS issues. He didn't order any cabinets for the island (he was missing the ENTIRE island). One cabinet was too wide and wouldn't fit. He didn't order any trim. One cabinet didn't have a top. One cabinet was too long. Several cabinets were too short. Seriously, how can you mess up an order that bad? Basically as a cabinet company, you have three main jobs: (1) measure, (2) order, and (3) provide customer service. He failed miserably at all three. I am still trying to understand what went wrong with this guy. With regards to the order, I understand that orders often take longer than expected, but he could have made up for this by providing excellent customer service. Instead he chose to not return our phone calls. He measured our cabinets. He provided the model. How can you mess up an order that horribly when you have a picture you created to go off of? No island whatsoever? We decided that we had had enough. We told Chris he could keep our deposit but wouldn't pay him a cent more. We placed an order with another company for the cabinets he didn't order or didn't measure correctly, which ended up costing us quite a more than what he quoted us because they had to try to match our existing cabinets. It also delayed us moving into our house for more than a month. I would caution others against using Morewood for this reason: when things went wrong, instead of making things right by either stepping up the customer service or ensuring we got what we paid for, he abandoned us. We understand that when renovating a house, problems will always come up with contractors. But most "good" companies do their best to fix mistakes. Chris didn't make things right.
