Wild Bill's Carpets - Oak vinyl 7" planking and vinyl tile. Great experience! When materials came in, installers promptly laid the flooring.

On the other hand, they upgraded us to a better carpet at no additional charge, went and got it and finished the job on the same day. The installers really sacrificed their evening to take care of everything! I don't think I can blame Wild Bill's that the carpet wholesaler sold them defective carpet. On one hand, Wild Bill himself is a tad hard to deal with sometimes. He seems a little disorganized and doesn't hear well at his age. On the other hand, his son Dave is professional and polite and great to work with. From my limited exposure to Jodi I believe she's excellent too. On one hand, I could have saved $60 buying a cheaper grade I had priced out at Home Depot. On the other hand, I would have saved only $60, buying a cheaper carpet, at Home Depot. If a problem had come up, would the big corporate store drop their schedules for the rest of the day to fix things? Probably not. And they definitely got the job done faster than Home Depot's schedule was allowing (a couple days instead of weeks). So I would recommend them. But I also recommend you deal with someone other than Bill. Or, after the order is placed, contact Dave and go over the order a second time confirming the details to make sure everyone is on the same page and no surprises.

The salesperson (David Finkenthal) came out to the residence and measured the areas himself to be carpeted. After waiting for 12 days, the carpet was installed; but the installers didn't have enough carpet! I have an unfinished stair and two closets without carpeting! This was two weeks ago; after numerous attempts to get the rest of my carpet installed, I was finally told that the remaining carpet was ordered and would be installed today (7/16/19). The installers came, and LEFT A NOTE ON THE DOOR instead of contacting anyone that they had arrived (I was at work, but my parents down the road were informed about the installation; this was how installation first went). So, a 7-10 day wait has turned into over 3 weeks at this point, with the majority of my complaints and calls ignored. With the amount of carpet stores in the area, you have SEVERAL better options than to go with Wild Bill's.

When I walked into Truly Carpets I was a bit overwhelmed by all the carpet rolls, but when I told Dennis what I was looking for he told me about new stock coming in. It was the perfect color, texture & a great brand.... AND there was enough for both rooms. Yippee! I REALLY wish I'd had Truly Carpet install -ALL- my flooring. Unfortunately I mis-took 'Discount' as kind of shady, sub-par, or sub-contracted. Shame on me, I didn't bother to ask them if they subcontract their installs =( My loss. Hindsight, now wish I'd had them floor my entire home..... Truly installed a marvelous, high-end carpet remnants in my 2 bedrooms, but stupidly I went with Lowe's for the Pergo & the install. Ugh! Lowe's, what a HUGE nightmare!!!! I should have asked Truly to find me stock, because they had much better quality (12mm vs Lowe's 8mm Pergo stock). Truly installers arrived and did an amazing job. The biggest blessing is that the installers are part of the family, rather than subcontracted out as Lowe's does (nightmare!) The project manager was so knowledgeable, teaching me what I should have known BEFORE I'd gone shopping. My home flooring is gorgeous. When it's time to resurface my floors I'll be going back to Truly Carpet & Flooring.

Visited the big box stores; no one could really answer any questions. I mine as well have been talking about scientific data and the new frontier. Went to a small "designer's choice" suburban private store. Not lying - costs over 3x's as much. All the fancy ladies working there kept wracking up the costs. Went to a couple newly opened suburban stores. Both guys running the show at each store were ex-carpet installers who seemed burned out physically from all the hard work over the years. All the suburban locals took my number with the promise of a callback the following day. Nobody called. Worth the drive to Carpet Capitol and easy access off 90. This place should train service oriented businesses how sell to a customer. Simple: Listen, ask questions, stay on track, respect, find solution. Bam. Sale. I just might have to replace my carpet every year to experience this fine place over and over. Maybe that's why they are get so many new customers from the far East and West stretches of NEO.
