I went shopping for an area rug and wasn't finding what I wanted anywhere. The rugs were all ugly or not the right size or they were just too expensive. At first I was a little leery of Carpet Capital when I went in. Once I met the owner and the staff it was ok. I still didn't like paying up front for the services but their prices were very reasonable. I picked out my carpet and they cut it to the the exact size I needed with some extra for a floor runner near my bathroom. They went far beyond what I asked and bound the entire carpet and even loaded up into my vehicle for a very good price. They even finished binding my rugs a few days ahead of schedule. I got it home and it fit perfectly! I Would not have gotten the same treatment and Waxman's who quoted me 100 dollars more for the same carpet. They have lots of great remnants to choose from and have all sorts of linoleum and flooring. There's no showroom, per se. You walk right into the warehouse and pick what you want. Saves money on the salesperson and the cost savings is passed on to the customer. With that I would highly recommend Carpet Capitol to anyone. Parking is in the rear. Have fun shopping! read more

Good old fashioned service. Listens to your likes and dislikes and finds you the perfect flooring. Where else on this planet could I find such a Fab place? Visited the big box stores; no one could really answer any questions. I mine as well have been talking about scientific data and the new frontier. Went to a small "designer's choice" suburban private store. Not lying - costs over 3x's as much. All the fancy ladies working there kept wracking up the costs. Went to a couple newly opened suburban stores. Both guys running the show at each store were ex-carpet installers who seemed burned out physically from all the hard work over the years. All the suburban locals took my number with the promise of a callback the following day. Nobody called. Worth the drive to Carpet Capitol and easy access off 90. This place should train service oriented businesses how sell to a customer. Simple: Listen, ask questions, stay on track, respect, find solution. Bam. Sale. I just might have to replace my carpet every year to experience this fine place over and over. Maybe that's why they are get so many new customers from the far East and West stretches of NEO. read more

Stopped into Carpet Capitol because I wanted a very specific rug runner for my hallway. I figured since they specialized in carpets and rugs, I would be able to get exactly what I wanted. I had previously gone to those "big name" corporate stores (more for convenience than any other reason) to get my area rugs. My experiences in those places were so-so to downright terrible. I love Carpet Capitol! They had every color, type, size of carpeting, flooring and rugs under the sun!! The owner, Jerry, was so friendly and helpful. I walked out of the store with so much knowledge about carpeting and how rugs should be bound, etc. And, yes, I walked out with my brand new rug runner that was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be visiting Carpet Capitol in the future, AND I will absolutely, positively recommend Carpet Capitol to anyone for their carpeting, rugs, flooring needs. read more

I own a contracting business that performs commercial repairs. Usually our customers provide the carpet because they want their stores to look the same throughout the nation. Today, our customer wanted us to provide the carpet tile. I called Carpet Capitol because I had an okay experience there in the past and they are located near the freeway and the customer's store. I asked for pricing on a charcoal colored 2x2 carpet tile for a high traffic area. My next question would have been how long the lead time is and can they order it for me with payment over the phone. The woman refused to answer questions on price over the phone. I do not have time to drive over there and pick through samples. I called a competitor and within 5 minutes had ordered all the carpet tile I need and it will be ready for pickup in two days. I probably paid more to the competitor, but I don't have the time to drive down there just to get a price and place an order. read more

I called the owner, Josh and explained to him that I had a stain on my new carpet and he volunteered to come out and replace the stained section. We went to Carpet Capitol in a pinch- needing carpet installed asap. Everyone there is very friendly, the selection was great. Josh, the owner went out of his way to be helpful. We learned it is a family owned business that just celebrated 109 years- awesome!! Bottom line we went on Saturday, got beautiful carpet installed by Wednesday. The owner is sexist. I went in with my husband and the owner did not look me in the eye. He did not talk to me. He did not really acknowledge my presence. I even tried to ask a question and he interrupted me! He preceded to talk about how easy the floor application was that even a woman could do it. I did not appreciate his condescending tone towards women or that he pretended that I didn't exist. His prices are excellent though, so if you don't mind giving a woman hating business a chance shop here! read more

This place is great! The staff is very friendly and very helpful! They are not pushy, like at the big box stores, which is a breath of fresh air! We learned about the carpet, and they were very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in what we were looking for. They did not try and push the high end (more expensive) carpet, but rather gave us pros and cons of each! We had been searching for quite sometime for an area rug, online and in stores, but we couldn't find anything we liked at the size we needed. Their prices are very reasonable and we walked out with an area rug (they were cutting and binding for us) for about $500 LESS than we were expecting to spend! Will return, and recommend. read more
